Terry and kazuya are two of the most hype characters in the game IMO, Kazuya is just so fuckin strong everytime he hits u its like a truck and terrys go meter gives him the two single most badass fucken moves in the game in my opinion.

Actually I noticed it myself already but great if Riddles noticed it too :v. PT is bad at the ledge and off stage overall.
@@kyurei4478 I feel their disadvantage in general really test how well a Pokémon trainer can wield all three
Atelier for example uses water gun to prevent ledge trap attempts and quidd would shark with vine whip or use razor leaf on stage. Even flare blitz could be an option (jk don’t do it)

Riddles played so well at this tournament. I think he’s really improved quite a bit.
Most of Riddles' fsmashes with Terry are supposed to be input crack shoot or burn knuckle performed with the A button.

2:25 that reverse nair isnt a mistake, it’s a kazuya tech called ferps. RAR nair has less recovery frames than airdodge down on platform
Using Kazuya against Kola's Roy was a GENIUS counterplay from Riddles. Because Kola is a very agressive player and Roy is just perfect for him, being able to kill extremely early. The thing is Roy isn't really a spacing based swordie because of his sweet spot mechanic. A particularity that is extremely favorable for FGC characters including Kazuya who has a short range because Roy is forced to approach to do the most damage. And what better strategy to beat Roy than hitting even harder than him? Kazuya is one of the few characters who can kill even earlier than Roy in the entire game. A brilliant strategy !

2:25 actually wasn't a mistake. He was going for this new tech chase set up which involves a reverse nair. Not sure exactly what it accomplishes but I know it is a new tech for kazuya that I seen some ppl doing. Tbf I guess since he didn't land it, it actually was a mistake but just wanted to point that out 😅
It's known as the Ferps tech. The reverse nair allows Kazuya to land on the plat much faster (a whole 13 frames to be exact) prior to doing a waveland which now covers every option.
@@mrwrigh yea thx found out later. But yea 13 frames is quite the difference. I used to always mess this up cause of the waveland too lol.

I'm pretty sure the forward smashes Riddles was doing was because of a misinput for the crackshoot/back-b. The timing isn't super precise but it can be easy to do an accidental fsmash the wrong way when trying to do that. Or he just has a 500iq brain

When you full hop pd on shield it's called the tiger knee. It's really good
i have to b a nerd and say that "tiger knee" actually refers to doing a motion input then jumping right before you hit the button, so the game registers the motion but you're in air when the move comes out (which means less endlag for power dunk as we know). street fighter 2 sagat has the actual move called tiger knee, the motion is quartercircle forward > up-forward (up being jump obv)

Kazuya's cheesy and Kola's aggressive as shizz; Terry would do well to go toe-to-toe with Roy but Kazuya can just punish Kola's overextension for free with devastating results
Terry vs Roy is a horrific match up at top level. The previous Kola/Riddles matches just show Kola di invalidating so much of Terry's combos.

I haven’t seen a more inconsistent player in terms of what he says and what characters he picks than Riddles. He’s been out and in of Kazuya ever since he came out. He was like “I’m super maining him” to saying the character sucks. Kid has such a terrible mentality for the game. Jesus.
You'd be surprised how many top players are like that, heck even in Melee, people used to think Jiggs was the best character in the game when Hungrybox was number 1, now they're saying Marth because of Zain lol
