    好同意香港人有'l'、'th'等的常見問題。我在香港曾上IPA課程,也知道有這些「毛病」,要好刻意去糾正,但一不為意,又會再犯😅基本大部分英文字可以靠Phonics讀出,但亦有不少字的串法跟IPA發音有出入,例如你們提到的sugar,所以糾正老毛病,係需要勤力啲、留神啲。

    Another great video👍🏻 I’ve been living in the UK for more than 30 years but still have minor pronunciation and grammatical errors but like all languages practice makes perfect. Just need to be aware of the mistakes and make good, then it’ll be fine. I do find many HKers have problems pronouncing “lounge” as “longe” and “ensuite” as “end-suit”. Maybe you can add these to your future video 😅 Ensuite is a tricky one as it’s actually French word and many people don’t know “en” is pronounced as “on” and “suite” is pronounced as “sweet”.

    說話, 除了文法外,就是發音了。不論是說英語或是普通話. 我們就是常在發音方面出了問題,有時候引起很多笑話。記得以前跟英國人上司談話,用了很多香港音,結果都被他糾正了,例如She, 我們常說了' 書'。普通話都有這個問題。希望出多一些有關British accent的片, 因為很有用。有時候覺得學語言就好像學唱歌,發音準就好像打了對的拍子。Each 就好像打2拍。Itch 就好像只打1拍。

    香港同好多亞洲國家一様, 英文係第二語言, 教英文讀音係用analytical phonics, 透過視覺識別單詞, 死記硬背單詞嘅讀音;
    喺英語國家, 教英文發音係用phonics (synthetic phonics in UK),
    用英文中嘅44個音素(phonemes)嚟拼讀出所有英文單詞;
    學過phonics嘅人可以拼讀出每一個新單詞, 即使佢哋唔認識嗰個單詞, 因為佢哋知每個字母/音素嘅正確發音;
    YT有好多關於phonics嘅片, 以下是一些例子, 解釋phonics嘅原理和每個phonemes嘅發音;

    我記得我細個個時, 要死記D字點讀, 但唔明點解係咁讀, 到左小六, 我發現有D字個樣係一樣, 讀音都係一樣 (e.g.-ment, moment, exrollment) 我發現某D字係點樣拆開個音 (上堂係唔聽書, 因為我聽唔明, 點解係咁樣, D老師只係講解釋 , 但教左音標, 我都係唔明)
    expect你講一堂就明, 但我唔係叻個D,
    再到中學, 遇到本好有趣既英文書 (講鬼故), 位miss又講得好生動, 所以我追住睇, 唔識既字就查字典
    去到唔知邊年, 我就發現, 原來再某D字, ch, sh, th, 呢D字本身都有一個音, 係同教書上無咩點教 (可能又係我唔聽書既關系)
    我覺得香港教英文, 著重garmmar 多過發音, 就算係教英文既, 佢英文發音都唔一定準
    而家叫做, 唔識既字, 搵左個meaning先, 之後再拆左個音, 再聽發音係差幾多, 好多時都係靠發音再串返個字母
    不過, "餐廳" restaurant, 我無一次係讀得順, rest - _____ 去到第2節音, 我條脷係唔知方係邊, 因為唔識讀rest(ə)rənt
    加S呢個問題, 我只係死記, or muscle memory, 以前係狂讀he takes, she takes, it happens, 總之就要讀到 有he she it, 後面動詞有要S sound, 但遇到D 眾數 (languages ), @_@
    仲有D高低音, 我都係唔知幾時係高, 幾時係低
    anyways, 謝謝你地出片, 要從新學習英文發音 / 修正英文發音唔易
    seed呢D字, 真係好易就會讀錯, 無晒D尾音 😵‍💫

      I m not exactly an expert, I didn't even get to learn phonics, but I d like to share how I polished mine...(unintentionally over time)
      Couple of key points:
      1st re-learn how you pronounce all alphabets, from A to Z, properly. What you have been fed back in HK, 90% of that is wrong.
      2nd realise English is a "flow" language, unlike Hongkongese / Cantonese being very blocky, chopped off like. So whilst speaking in a sentence, hook the phrase up with the last alphabet of the previous word. That should solved your issue over "restaurant".
      Eg, how was your day
      Becomes how was shore day
      with the "s" mount in front of "your"
      I hope you get what I mean.

    講開航空公司名……有另一間都有啲「蝦」人讀……Etihad
    最初連啲電視廣告都讀Eti-had,點知原來跟返阿拉伯文嚟讀就係Eti-Ha-d🙃
    其實「一個多音節字斬開一截截嚟讀」呢個「問題」
    我會諗係因為香港人喺香港未必有咁多機會喺日常生活講咁多英文,要用起上嚟就「非常生硬」
    嚟到英國,只要唔係「日日匿喺唐人街」,出到街多咗好多機會用到英文
    日子有功自然會講得流利兼有信心講,咁就慢慢解決呢個問題
    好似另一樣無乜人提嘅「connected speech」

      @@oldbuddy4136 不同國家有不同語言邏輯,中文邏輯是非正音即錯音,用中文的語言邏輯去判斷英語,這就是文化差異,你話查字典,你知唔知同一個字在Oxford字典和Cambridge字典可以唔同音,叫人教英國人正音,就係唔理解英語世界嘅文化,也是無禮
