Man...Colin Greenwood. Doesn't get the limelight his brother Johnny does, but he's SUCH an exquisite, tasteful bassist. His playing here is absolutely gorgeous. It's a crowded room, and one could almost be forgiven for not noticing, but he's not only holding the whole thing together with what he's playing, he's punctuating and informing and daggering the rhythm when he's NOT playing. His use of space is just outta this world. A couple years ago a bass magazine had a profile of Colin titled "How to disappear completely". (A bit cheeky, but it gets something right.) Still, listen to Bloom, Feral, or Separator here. Then listen to In Rainbows LFTB. Hell, go way back and listen to Airbag and you'll get what I'm trying to say. He's lyrical, thumps like a bull, and I just want to give him some props.
Finally someone who values this genius as he deserves, long live the Greenwod family 🍷
💛🖤💛
He's the perfect counterbalance to Thom's vocals. Understated but fiercely direct and decisive.
PREACH
MadAnthonyToronado that’s it!
the year is 2020. just never stop being amazed by these guys.
Finally, this was unlocked in my country.
Edit: With the existence of Radiohead's Public Library now this makes sense.

@@pipe Same here, wtf
saaaaaaaaame
Ok.... This explains it... No wonder I never came across this full video before...
@@sparda1979 Yeah, copyright. But it was available in Dailymotion and I've just discovered why was it unlocked. Radiohead released their brand new site "Radiohead Public Library", with a lot of live presentations like this for free. Check it out!
Humanity needs A Moon Shaped Pool live in Basement
yup. 100 percent! like now.
they did it but it allegedly sucked so they didn't release it
A moon shaped pool live from the basment.. PLEASE!
Come on... It's been 4 years, it's never going to happen
They did it because of the pay what you want shit with in Rainbows and TKOL bjt they didn't with AMSP
The show ended in 2015 sadly.
Shalom, ah sheli))
Dont get any big ideas
Man, Separator is such a beautiful tune.
mindblowing
Yeah every time hear that song "I fall open and I lay under"
Colin's bass in Bloom is soooo great
Agree... in my opnion it´s one of the best bass lines that i´ve ever heard.
IMO ¨'The King of Limbs' is the Radiohead album where Colin's bass shines through the most. I'm crazy about the bass on 'Feral' aswell.
13:15...that moment when you realize that you are part of one of the greatest bands ever formed...
😊
haha! Perfect Statement/shot!
Groovy 🐍
Arguably the greatest.
Corona from the basement 2020!!! Come on guys, save us from quarantine boredom!
YES!
💯% listened to this and In Rainbows in a row. Feeling nice and confident now
They are doing that today.
@@nknighton70 seriously?? where can we find ti?
@@christophermiller8589 Don't forget Supercollider, the bonus track from this session. For some reason is not here.
Separator is simply a wonder both musically and visually. Perfection.
Reminds me of Miles Davis in the early 70's and his fascinations with jazz-fusion.
Staircase gets me every time. Takes me back to a time and place every time. For that reason I steer away from this song till it randomly comes on and then I'm a moth drawn to flame. Every time. Sad, haunting and beautiful for that time in life. Heard and loved it in 2011 when it came out. However, June 3, 2016 that song took on a whole new meaning for me.

The slow motion of Little by Little into the song is absolutely beautiful.
this album and these performances were far ahead of their time. radiohead is one of the greatest of all time. no doubt! peace to all from philly!
My god! When 'The Daily Mail' kicks in at 9:15, it's AMAZING.
This for me still one of the greatest radiohead albums
Yeah, one of the 9 greatest for sure...
King of Limbs tour was indescribable. Still the best show i've ever seen
It's one of the weakest and it's still a masterpiece.
It takes a while to tune your ears to it, and I guess some people just never can?
@@apullcan I don't know man, I found the music in this album incredibly complex.
2:18... Open your mouth wide... Breaks my heart for such beautiful music composition...
God bless you
This album is the definition of underrated.
Its either because the studio engineers droped the ball or radiohead just wanted to release the studio album before it should have been released.
@@8bitprodigy145 What do you mean? The album is mixed brilliantly IMO.
@@colinmurphy3478 Agreed. And, regardless of what *I* think about the mixing, the production on that album clearly seems very intentional despite it not sitting well with everyone.
Way ahead of its time. Tbh, I actually didn't like it much when it came out but only learnt to appreciate it years later and now I am literally addicted to it. A truly visionary band like almost no other.
I grew to love this album
I LOVE THIS BAND
Alejandro Torres Aye
Give up the Ghost....perfection
Its incredible
Separator is one of the best live Radiohead songs.
What a treasure! never get tired of it!
lotus flower live still gets me
Today is my 49th birthday. Radiohead are the greatest and most important band of my life so far
Brian Cox I hear ya dude... ditto from a 50 yr old... soundtrack/parallel universe of my life
Happy birthday!!
I heard you for the first time at 97 when I was 10. And since then it has always been on my list of the best of music! 🌏🧠🙌💚.)
I never get bored listening to little by little!!! Actually it’s better than the other one 👌🏻
Just an amazing album. I so love this band.
Pas de mots.... Juste magnifique, transcendant !
Codex is magical. So underrated
I find it a very calming song. It makes me feel totally at peace
There are five bands that have genuinely moved me during my life. First, The Beatles ... obviously, then Pink Floyd, Rush, Genesis and Radiohead. These Live from the Basement sessions are so great. Thanks guys ... and Phil twice!
the way thom moves.. he's music in human form
21:00 Ed is absolutely mesmerized my Thom
como amo esta banda, es la historia de mi vida.
Insanely grateful music!
the sole reason that I want humanity to continue at all is so that we can continue to listen to thom (and he can keep making music) and we can continue to study radiohead as a source of pure divine musical talent.
that performance of Feral was legendary
Thank you SO much for the video
Best band, best musicians in the 21st century.
Awesome live... This album is just gold
I remember when TKOL was released I was attending my first ever year of guitar lessons and my teacher (as he was learning me Karma Police) told me about the new album. That was the best Valentine's Day I ever lived unfortunately I wasn't able to understand that particular moment I was living
When you live a beautiul moment, often you don't realize it immediatly. That's, in my opinion, the good thing about memory ;)
Dude, wtf! Only 288k views?? Everyone in the fucking universe should be vibing to this as far as I'm concerned.
Every time I see this , my wish of making music increases a 1000% and I dont know why , but i love it
Let’s make a band
@@biponacci okay , why not?
@@simonypumba7026 I'll be on triangle
I'll be in whatever but on the guitar , becouse anyone can play guitar
god bless you for uploading this
I love the extra energy on Bloom. I thought it was a little flat on the album.
This blows away the studio version.
It’s amazing live
Personally I prefer the studio version but this is a magnificent alternative with all the energy it packs. I like the studio version for how calming and magical it is.
This is so good and I absolutely loved this album thank you radiohead so much I love it
Separator 🔥🔥
The Daily Mail is so different than anything they've ever done. So swanky on that piano. Love it.
I loved KoL when it came out, and the subsequent "expansion packs" supercollider and daily mail BUT if KoL had the same tracklist and rhythms of this live recording it would've been alot better. Thankfully we have this recording!
Right? I love the album but that version of Little by Little doesn't even compare to this one
Usually when a band is this good, after they've played it live so many times, it's like the music grows. Like it has become more refined as they explore it more. Not many bands are this good though. At least not well known ones.
Have you listened to the remixes? The harmonic remix of bloom is really good as well as the seperator ones
Quarantine finally brought me to this again! I got Corona and it ain't the virus! Cheers Radiohead!
Cheers🍷
Staircase is stunning
that was more than alright, Thom.
Downright phenomenal!
I'M MOOVIN OOOUUT OFF OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIITT
Best track
in my top three RH albums
Brings me back some memories.
I needed this
It's amazing that they did this
i just LOOVEEEEEE the Camera Movement, soooo Brilliant!!!
YT keeps taking this down. Glad it's back again. Gotta download it real quick lmao
how they cloned phil selway is beyond me...
Is this Clive Deamer??? Does this guy play in both Heads?
@@matiasmoulin2126 yes
@@matiasmoulin2126 I guess now we can talk about BaldHeads
@@matiasmoulin2126 Now he just needs to drum for Talking Heads and the trio will be complete.
:D
Thom: plays one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful songs he’s ever written
Also Thom: “please tell me that sounded alright”
Repetitive drumming, calculated & driven. A brilliant approach in crafting these songs, expanding on the formula they created on their previous album In Rainbows.
Just love this version of Lotus Flower
Yeah same here. For me this version is better than the studio version.
Merci..et bravo 👍🏻
thank You o the nth !!!
thank you. all of the senses used with physics .... just amazing
"Please tell me that sounded all right."
The Lame Gaming Channel If only Thom could see how he makes us all feel with his art
Groovin
Yeah you wanted too check it out too! It was already here. 20/05/2020
I have goosebumps up my taint and asscrack. I distinctly remember having my mind blown in 2011 upon seeing this when they built the soundscape that is Bloom. I had no clue that they used guitars. It sounds like computers in a submarine cutting three the seas under the ice of Europa. In fact, if they make another movie about that, they should use Bloom for the ost
True story; I feel the same way when I’m really frightened by something. I thought I was the only person who ever felt this form of “goosebump flight or fight” experience. It happens from my taint all the way up to my head. Imagine the best chills you ever had and times them by 10. I suffer from sleep paralysis and sometimes when I wake up after an episode I feel this way. It’s horrifying but the feeling is almost equivalent to cumming. I am cumming day and night. It’s terrific right? So you know, I am in heaven.
this version of Little By Little is so groovy and nasty. I love it.
best beginning to any video of any kind ever on any planet
Masterpiece
Love this album!
Thank god for knowing this band and become their big fans. The only one in this world. Masterpiece.
such an underrated album! codex is amazing
master piece!! No Doubt
Separator sounds ammmmmaaaaaazing!!
You know you are in trouble when Thom’s dancing the disco squirrel
Aleatoric is my most favorite word ever. Second most favorite word Radiohead. They exemplify such organized chaos I’m gettin a lady boner.
And it even seems as if ol Thommyboy showered for the event
Jessica Steiner . . . I should think you had Thom at lady boner . . . He’ll probably write a song about it . . . Then life will be complete ;)
holy shit seperator bass line gives me life
Beatiful
Bloom is something else man
Close your eyes and you're flying
Bande de timbrés ! Je suis très fier d'avoir vieilli avec vous. See you soon space comrades.
How much I love Bloom?
Thom is the sexiest thing that ever lived.
Separator is such a gorgeous little song.
🌻 I Love this soo much 🎵❤ What great harmonies to end with 🙌🏻 🐱♏☯️🌌🦋🏴
This is TKOL greatest version.
Great! Great! Great!
"Staircase" has to be oficially released on their next LP, otherwise this will be considered the most ugly crime in music industry ever committed to conceal such a masterpiece from wider audiences
It's been out as a single since 2011, but a re-recorded studio version would be nice to hear too!
Finally!!!
Still coming back
te amo radiohead
Under this quarantine measures, world need more 'Radiohead live from basement' like never before
maravilloso
The 6th best Radiohead Album. Masterpiece
Ooh, above which two albums? I put it at the same slot above Pablo and The Bends but that's just me.
This sounds amazing, after listening to this TKOL is one of my favorite albums. Then I listen to Kid A from start to finish and take back what I said. Still love this performance though, got me through most of the current quarantine days.
Someone said to me "my favorite Radiohead song is whatever song I'm listening to at the moment" and that's never summed up how I feel about them better
@@echoradiata that is so true man
ed never old
Quarantine time
Oh man I remember when this aired on mtv2 when I was still in high school. I was randomly tripping on acid and this shit just hypnotized me. I remember Hallucinating Prints of Technicolor panda bears holding umbrellas while this played in the background. I haven't thought about that since I wss like 16, and hearing this again brought it all back....
¿Que si ha sonado bien, Thom? Oí que entraba por la misma puerta del cielo.
