This ride is a beast, throwing you through 7 inversions including a batwing, swooping through Egyptian styled trenches throughout the gorgeous layout. You know it's a classic B&M the roar gives commentary.
After I finally got over my fear, I rode this on Thursday as my first B&M invert and it was the greatest thing. I loved this ride to death that I had to get on multiple times. I can't wait to continue riding more rides in the future.
Montu is running like she's brand new! Doesn't look like the trim was turned on for the batwing, absolutely booked it through there.
It was turned off. That roar is awesome 🥃
Sadly it was turned on when I went in December of last year
My legs almost detached and it was on but did absolutely nothing lol

I might be in the small minority of those that like Banshee and Afterburn a little more than Montu- either way Montu is still world class! Gotta love that B&M invert roar, the comfort and reliability! They may not all be as intense as Intamin but they are damn sure smooth fun ass rides! Especially that B&M clamshell on the hypers and gigas, don't get me started on my love of the clamshell! 🤘
No wayyy. What makes you like Banshee more than Montu? I’m just curious because I’ve ridden Raptor and Montu but not Banshee
@@haydfors The drop, the Banshee wail, the Pretzel knot and the Zero G Roll, but mainly that drop in the back row. Don't get me wrong, Montu has a way better setting and snappier inversions but there is something I just truly love about Banshee. That first drop is powerful in the back row. Don't get me wrong Montu and Afterburn are both two of my favorite B&Ms ever, but they're just shy of my personal top 10 unlike Banshee & Fury 325. Also Kings Island is my old homepark so I'll be the first to admit I have a small bias to all the rides there aside from Invertigo 😂
@@DuecePiece okay that’s fair🤣 that drop on Banshee looks WICKED. And even Montus drop was crazy. I def can’t wait to get on Banshee this summer. The pretzel loop and all the other inversions look super fun and seem to flow really nicely. I can’t wait. And yes yes home park always gives some bias😂 like Cedar Point is my home park and I love it’s rides. Although I’m still struggling to decide whether I like Steel Vengeance or Iron Gwazi more😳😳
Banshee is great with all the massive inversions, but montu whips through every element while banshee seems to barely crest them. Montus just more forceful imo. But banshees drop wins easily.
@@Trahzy Montu does whip harder, but something about Banshees giant inversions just works for me! It does almost hang on some of those inversions, but the fact they are so large means the train can get its momentum back right away, much the reason why the top speed isn't hit until the Pretzel Knot. They are both phenomenal, along with Afterburn they are my 3 favorite inverts, but in my personal opinion Banshee just kicks slightly more ass! 👍🤘
I rode this ride when it was brand new back in 1996. Still one of the best B&M inverts out there. The theming is great, and by the looks of it, it’s got a new paint job! It looks like it’s brand new again! Such a great ride!

This is the sound of my childhood. I grew up across the bay in St. Pete and would regularly go to Busch Gardens as a kid and the tram runs right up next to Montu so the first sound of the park, before even hearing ambiance music, was this roar.

I already love the repaint. But omg if they added Egyptian music to the ride or to the entire Egypt area it would make this so immersive, especially due to lack of Montu's theming. Yes it has those sand dips and stuff, but it needs more! Even just like a scaled down pyramid would be so good
Montu is a great B&M Invert! It looks really fun to ride just like Batman: The Ride!

Man fresh paint on this and kumba and several new coasters at sea world . They are killing it.
Montu was repainted back in 2015/2016 good to know Busch Gardens takes care of their rides
It was repainted in 2021 from sand colored supports to bright yellow
it looks so pretty as always

We usually finish our visit to the park on this ride. So far our record is 20 in a row without getting off the train.

As of now my favorite invert was the defunct dueling dragons hopefully Montu will exceed my expectations.

Everyone gets mad about the repaint but obviously the master plan is they just don't worry about the support paint so then it ends up looking weathered and fitting the ride

hello, the structure seems new or very recent. It is very clean, no traces due to bad weather. This coaster really dates from 1996? or has it been recently renovated?

At first I thought it looked weird but now I love the new paint job it makes montu stand out more different than the other rides
It looks like they only repainted the supports. Why only the supports? It would be nice to paint offer the wheel marks on the rails.
I think they do but it don’t take long for the paint on rails to come off from wheels
Hopefully that yellow paint will fade in time - looks like a vekoma.

las montañas rusas molan, el problema es que dan miedo , el otro problema son los accidentes que puede aterrorizar a las personas que nunca han estado en una montaña rusa quieren, pero debido a los accidentes ya no quieren ir. Otras personas que lo han sido, ya no tienen el mismo miedo, sobre todo la 2ª vez, porque la 1ª es traicionera.

How does Raptor compare to Alpengeist?
@@haydfors Alpengeist’s first half is definitely more intense than Raptor, but they’ve made the mid course brake run slam it to a near stop in recent years, so Raptor’s second half feels feels much more intense. I miss the leg tingling helix Alpie did before, while Raptor still does it.
