Well banshee is the only Invert using the next gen box track so banshee is naturally going to be profiled in a way not possible 28 years ago. Raptor was the first big invert and banshee is the most refined.
@@Cremy1016 Yes, his videos are fantastic. But Kings Island looks different with the Vortex gone as well but no one mentioned that when they did a video of The Racer.
Can someone explain to me why there hasn't been any recent inverts built? And is it possible to build them bigger? Imagine a brand new 250ft B&M invert opening up somewhere.
B&M doesn’t make ‘em like they used to. Gatekeeper and Valravn both lack the sheer intensity that Raptor had. It’s no wonder that it’s still a top 25 ride nearly 30yrs later.
Raptor came first. It opened in 1994, Monster at Walygator Parc originally opened in Japan as Orochi in 1998 at the now-defunct Osaka Expoland before it was moved to France.
Raptor was my first invert in 1996 on my first trip to cedar point. Still great. Those 90s B&M inverts hit different.
Raptor, Alpengiest, Afterburn, Batman Clones, Montu. All bangers
The most intense element on this ride (a very intense ride in general) is that transition into the final brake run. 😆
It always obliterates my skull no matter how hard I brace
@@ya_boi_zach5140 REAL
Alpengiest's transition into the mid course is brutal.
I rode the back seat for the first time on this last week and it's wild, love this ride
My second favorite invert. Alpengeist is still my favorite, but this ride is pretty close behind
Forever grateful I rode this in 09!!!! Great POV man 😎
great ride
I love Raptor but I hate the head slam right before the final brake run!
Everyone hates that
It’s insane how quickly you rip through the inversions, especially at 1:28
Looks fun but a little rough at parts. Some weird jolts in there. Reminds me of Talon in Dorney Park.
Little rattle here and there from age. Talon however is as smooth as butter.🧈
It’s definitely a tolerable ride for the most part. The toughest part is that final jolt into the brake run.
@@Stagnant_Gravy I agree other than that I found the raptor smooth.
Montu at Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL is the best invert rollercoaster IMO
Old girl still has the moves.
I really like this ride. One of my favorites at cedar point because i wont ride the really big ones.
I still enjoy this more than Banshee. However those two rides really are apples to oranges.
Same same but different 🥃

@@EastCoasters banshee is rough as hell lol
@@EastCoasters but banshee is prolly my fav invert
@@tankchen3114 Banshee is NOT rough, dude. Rode it last week about 13 times and no way in hell is that ride rough.
I’m about to ride this any tips? Im nervous about the height
when was this filmed? cause it looks like it was before raptor got the new paint job
That shoreline is so weird looking without Wicked Twister 🙁
But what does that have to do with this video and the Raptor??
@@timothykaczmarek5871 Nothing I suppose.. the video itself is excellent.. all of his are. And Raptor is a fun ride. It was just something I noticed.
@@Cremy1016 Yes, his videos are fantastic. But Kings Island looks different with the Vortex gone as well but no one mentioned that when they did a video of The Racer.
Very similar to Montu at Busch gardens Tampa
Is it just me or does it look like you can reach up and touch the rails?
I hold the camera pretty high, but no it’s impossible to even get close
Where does raptor rank in the park?
5 or 6 I think🤌🏽
I actually like this more than SteVe
Can someone explain to me why there hasn't been any recent inverts built? And is it possible to build them bigger? Imagine a brand new 250ft B&M invert opening up somewhere.
It’s a B&M so it’s probably too expensive for small parks, and the big ones that would want to buy one probably already have one from the 90’s
One was built by this year at Grona Lund named Monster.
@@EastCoasters oh wow that open recently. Didn’t know that

this is literally just inverted hydra with inverted track colors and trains nevermind i lied its literally just hydra colors on an invert
The clone of the monster

@@dth2brny121 👍👍
I thought it was a fun ride...a bit more intense than banshee. Drop is not as high, though.
5K? It's good quality but goes up to 4k, clickbait?
@@BARUtubbig actually most devices can’t do 5k but some can. On my Mac it says 2880p60 5K. No click bait here dude..
@@EastCoasters alright, didn't know it was limited to the monitor thought mine could handle it lol.
United States 🇺🇲
It makes no sense at all that they named this thing Raptor.
Than you! Lol
I feel like it should be Lake Erie lochness themed
I’ve rode this and Montu. Montu is definitely better
The batwing at montu was great. One of the best inverts in the US.
