the 8K 60fps 180 or 360 videos are definitely a step up from what the best was before
This really speaks to the level of the technology and how they've been dumbing down what the Quest 3 is actually capable of. Batman is gonna be sick. Do you think Batman is intended to be a showcase of the Q3 stand alone capabilities or just a segway?
I hope it’s a show piece. Meta know and need game to prove there a reason to upgrade. When 99% of the upcoming games and all release games support a headset that is still on sale, you’ve got an uphill struggle
Awesome. I did not know about mixed reality update. I noticed support for 8k was added to some VR videos, VR180 8K is fantastic.
Overall it’s a really impressive update. I only found the MR because my right controller keeps turning off after todays Quest update 🫠
This is my go to for RUclips videos now. I love it in mixed reality. Almost enough reason to own a Quest 3 on its own!

@@GAMERTAGVR lol. I have a PSVR2 too. I used to be angry/confused, now I’ve given up. PSVR2 for games. Quest 3 for videos and fitness.

It's cool, but I still prefer the regular app view, that way you can still move it around the around as you want and it's not stuck on the walls. If they added the ambient colors around the room then it would be worth it though.
The ambient lighting on Spatial TV was amazing
As someone who’s always on the move, and doesn’t usually have a large screen setup available, the Quest 3 has been an invaluable device for media consumption. Honestly love the thing!
I wish the 8K option was for the Quest Pro as well. I've watched a few concerts in the app already, and it's fantastic. You can't join the chat though like on a pc.

I found this yesterday! I used the feature to watch some vids while I was doing the dishes last night. Made the chore go by super quick! My house is about to be a helluva lot cleaner :D
I’ve done all sorts in mixed reality. Over on Twitter some people were like ‘As if you would chores using MR’ but I have too.
I love this mode for RUclips, now i wish the other media movie playing app would have something like this, would be cool...
It seems that not everyone has access to this feature. I can watch it in a window and mixed reality, but is a curved screen and not a flat screen that can be repositioned along my walls. Interesting
you have to be on the latest update(V64)and you click on the envirenement and it will show four options (auto,white,dark,and mixed reality) you want pick the last one and it will work

You can move the window around to different walls, including the ceiling, and the window will size to fill the space.

8k? What is the pixel count in the headset again?
I hear that, but see it in the headset.
@@GAMERTAGVR 4k per eye is still going to be 4K at max across the whole screen. Not that anyone is going to notice the jump from 4 to 8k unless viewing on a 50+" physical screen from close distance.
Keep in mind that these pixel counts from RUclips are not the full picture. You get higher bit rates with higher levels, so it looks better even on screens with lower resolution.

@@GAMERTAGVR strange rebooting my headset and reinstalling the app solved it. I like that it automatically understand side by side 3D content to !
