    • @ToastedHashbrown
      @ToastedHashbrown 2 года назад

      Because the "war" in Ukraine is a nothingburger. Corrupt media wants you to think Russia is more worser than Hortler and Drumph combined on a unicycle duel weilding machine guns and eating ice cream sandwiches riding up a mountain backwards while still commanding their own deep sea underwater armies of white men who all own rental property on the side and eat nothing but red meat while they salute the American flag every morning.
      And I would not be suprised at all if the "news" unrionically reported exactly this.

    My mom made these quite often. Not same as yours. On Saturday or Sunday we often have potato waffle. In potato waffle was sausages cut into small pieces with red and green bell pepper, garlic and rosemary. She used sharp cheddar, monterey jack, and smoked gouda instead. She never liked using process cheese, we stayed away from it. She made dipping sauce with cream cheese mixed in with cut up pieces of bacon, dice tomato, snipes of parsley with added herbs of basil and oregano (sometimes she add dill and thyme instead of basil and oregano or blend of all of them) and chopped caramalize onions. It was one of favorite weekend brunch after we finished doing weekend morning chores.

    The Joy of Cooking: I love how you sensualize the process of preparing food. The camera angles...the sounds...lifting a knife...sliding it through a potato...the sound of an empty pot begging for a purpose....the food is the focus...the technique is the topic...the chef is not the 'celebrity' so it could be me... I can do this.

    These look okay. We make ours in a Waffle maker but use a potato pancake recipe with grated raw potatoes, grated onion, eggs, flour, salt and pepper. They come out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! I imagine you could use most any potato pancake recipe! Spray your waffle maker with a tiny bit of nonstick spray to prevent sticking. ❤❤❤

    Ymm....both recipes looking SCRUMPTIOUS, the first is similar to what we make here in Mexico as Tortitas de Papa con queso but the second recipe, WOW! 5 Star Breakfast to have that fancy and SCRUMPTIOUS Potatoe Waffle with 2 slices of cheddar cheese and a slice of yummy ham, even better if the ham is honey cured! 🤤 Thanks for sharing, 👍and greetings 👋from central Mexico! 🤠

      I’m not American, I live no where near Idaho and have been making mashed potato cakes since I was a kid and that was over 60 years ago. My grandmother made them and she was born in 1896. Fun video though.

    Warning: don’t substitute grated Parmesan for the shredded the recipe calls for! I made this tonight and that was all I had. It was still awesome just too powdery from the grated parm. My mistake! He’s the expert for a reason! Lol because he is awesome! One more thing, nonstick cookware for this is important!

    • @berean65
      @berean65 2 года назад +6

      The grated powdery parmesan cheese has cellulose powder in it which is wood shavings ground up fine. Read the label. Yuk!

      Sorry I didn't realize you said that's all you had. I prob. would havfe done the same thing. However, I always have on hand shredded "italian blend" cheese. I think that would work better than powdered parm. (I also buy my parm in blocks.. much cheaper than shredded and you can keep it in the freezer an it lasts MONTHS.. It may get some ice on it, but wrap it in some form of paper then in plastic wrap.)
