    2 cups of sugar+ 1 cup of water.
    Put everything to cook and let the sugar melt into the water
    That is simple syrup :)

    I live in the tropics. The best way is to first peel the mango using a potato peeler. Then shave off the "cheeks". That way less wastage occurs.

      When doibg the stir-in-a-bowl method, something i found out while experimenting is that when it is near completion, like your 5th stir, you put it in the blender to be smoother and it gets rid of some of the ice particles. Ten you freeze it again for about 30-45 min or so and it is done :)

  • @pushpaable

    Guys if you don't have an ice cream maker;
    Get your mangoes and peel, freeze them in a bag, once frozen put them in a blender, you're looking for a solid texture when they're frozen, whilst blending add your lemon and simple syrup.
    Another thing, if you don't want to add simple syrup look for mangoes that have yellow skin, they are sweet naturally. Be careful, as you may struggle to peel and de-pit them because they are super soft, stick to Laura's method in taking off the "cheeks" of the mango 😂😂😂😂😂 good luck!

    Use an ordinary spoon to scoop out the flesh instead of trying to peel back the skin with your fingers. It's much easier, cleaner and you don't waste as much fruit trying to tear off the peel. For people who don't have an ice cream machine, freeze the mango pieces and then use a blender to combine everything (some food processors doesn't crush ice).

    Another method is put mango or any fruit chunks in either nutri ninja blender or Vitamix and also add ice cubes blend and enjoy.

    it's just two parts water, one part sugar. you boil it and let the sugar dissolve completely.

    It's so weird seeing those mangoes that colour. They're usually golden yellow, well in Australia they are. Can't wait to make this!!
