Having tried several, I was surprised which was my favorite 2024 wireless earbuds : the sennheiser momentum tw4. They are amazingly musical with lossless aptx source and uncompressed lossless.
Im happy with my Sony Xm5. After changing eartips from foam to silicone it still sound decent. The ANC is absolute best in class. The app is a real function and customization Frenzy. Bass boost profile is lovely. The sound remains balanced even at high volume.
@@aphexgaming1983 the Sony is great. I heard it. I fell absolutely in love with it. But for a real musical experience, the Denon is better. I’m not saying don’t get the Sony. A recommended the Sony to a close friend. It’s half the price of. The Denon and absolutely worth it. But the Denon will give you a pounce that will make your body jump.
Thanks, Ron. I have two of your top 10 and of your honorable mentions (EF Pro 4, OneP Buds Pro 3 and the DPP). Man, the DPP is something else once you get past the weight and size. It's seriously immersive
Happy new year Ron! I have the gemini 2 and beoplay ex and I’m not sure if I got a bad unit but the Gemini for me do not get loud at all. They do sound really great but at max volume for me they aren’t as loud as the beoplay ex momentum 3 and no we’re near the Denon Perl pro. But I didn’t expect them to be as loud as the Denon Perl pro but I thought they would be louder then the other and their just not. They do sound great
hello. top video again. I was ready to go buy the Devialet but after listening to you and your opinions I'm going to go buy the Denon. However in France many people say bad things about them.
Nice work on the list you helped me narrow down the earbuds I wanted. Do you think theres gonna be a good shake up to the earbud market with Bluetooth 6.0 buds possibly coming in 2025?
Hi, Ron! I have the headphones from your rating, number 1. I don't hear super sound in them! I tried all the ear pads that come with them. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?? No deep bass, no super sound. Normal flat sound, I don't hear individual instruments. Ron, can you record a video on how to use them, so that everyone knows how to use them correctly!
Wow, Ron. What a year. You did some great work. Your love for sound is contagious. Turns out I have the number 1 - Denon Perl pro. I listened to the Sony. Yes they are fun and sound so good I almost got them. I’d love to hear the Gemini 2. They are more expensive than the Denon. You went back and forth with them and I know you love them. But yes. The Perl Pro kicks every part of your body. It’s uncanny that something so small can sound bigger than over ear earphones. But this does. Till now I’d always go for sennheiser earphones but you’re right, the denon is an emotional experience. So I agree with you. I’ve never fancied Bose. The bass seems too fake for me. I know that’s harsh but it’s how it sounds to me. The Denon is just right. They did something right here. Yes, my tight bud died for 2 weeks and came back to life. I talked to electrical engineers and we have a theory what happened but since then for 7 months they’ve been fine. So I definitely agree with you. It’s nice to have the best and hearing that from someone like you who also is the best and most honest. Keep up the good work. Ahhhh question- what buds to you put on them? I see they’re clear/white. The guys in the package are black. So you must have switched them out. Thanks!
And that's the bottom line cause Ron said so 😄😄 thank you Ron, we appreciate so much your hard work !! Wish you the best for the next year and 10 000 subscribers. Agree with you at 99% (except for az80 😂😂) with this list. God bless you my friend
Hi Nice video found lot of information in your video, I want to ask Nothing ear 2024 or Oneplus Buds pro 3.. I like base, which one do you recommend. Thanks
What is the main difference you made between the Denon in first place and the Gemini in second? What changes from one to the other in terms of sound quality?
Thanks Ron. For me the pi8 are the best, great sound, great volume. I also bought the Devialet Geminis 2, and i am very disappointed, they are not good enough ( terrible anc )
If you factor in if they stay in your ear (which is VERY important), then this list would look VERY different. The Air Pod Pro 2 would be an instant top 10
The Denon PerL Pros are fantastic. They're very close to the Apple $550 Headphones. I mean, it's the closest thing to high quality headphones that I've found.
On an audiophile perspective, the Roseselsa Earfree i5 should definitely be on this list especially if you change to after market eartips. They push out the same amount of detail and overall clarity/quality of the cambridge audio melomania m100 and the status between anc
The Cambridge are not on the same level as the status. I have them, they are good but they do not sound no where as good as status 3 ANC which also blows them out of the water for noise cancelling.
Of all your reviews to date Ron, this one in my opinion is way off the mark. How you can state that the Status buds are better than the Pi8's escape me. Pretty much every top reviewers rate the Pi8's as #1 and I agree and I have them as well as the Perl Pro's, the AZ 80's the Gemini II's and the Beoplay EX's. As far as audiophile qualities, the Pi8's excel over all the others in my opinion as well as most others. Also to only give the MTW 4's only honorable mention blows me away as they certainly deserve a much higher ranking. I feel that your rankings are based more on exaggerated EQ's for bass and volume as opposed to accuracy, detail and soundstage. Other top reviewers such as Flossy, Picky, Andy's Tech Tone and DHRME all seem to agree with my thoughts. I have enjoyed most of your reviews in the past, but I really think you blew it on this one, sorry.
Happy New Year! So you're saying any of these earbuds are better than the B&O Beoplay EX? I guess its time for me to see an ear doctor, cos I got rid off most of these from the list after purchasing the EX.
@ronontech Sorry, you're wrong. I told you before, you most likely have a bad fit or a faulty unit. The majority of reviews are blown away from the EX sound quality, even in 2024. Volume is more than enough. 20-30% louder than the Technics AZ80, which can be a bit too low, indeed. But the EX is loud enough on 70-80%. ANC is on par with the Sennheiser MTW4 which isn't the best on the market either but gets the job done. Bass is punchy, deep, the clarity and details insane, wide soundstage, easily in the top 3 and I've tried all of these you've ranked in the top 3, apart from the Pi8s.
@@attilab.2818 I've tried several different silicon eartips other than the stock ones, not to mention Comply Foam eartips. Granted the Comply Foam did improve that bass slightly, they still was worse than any other at that price point. I will give them credit, the Mids and Highs are crisp, if you have the volume at near 100%. But again, I appreciate your point of view. And, the ANC on these is no where near the Momentum 4s, I'm sorry.
@ronontech It's funny how we hear things so differently, even the ANC performance? I personally found the MTW4S ANC absolutely trash up until the recent firmware update and now is still only so-so. Maybe it's just the EX shape design just simply not compatible with your ears, not necessarily the tips. Or a lemon unit. One thing for sure, the EX isn't what you describe with a good fit. I understand if you don't want to invest in an older model to try different tips or borrow another unit from somewhere to see if there's something wrong with yours, but if you're able to get your hands on their latest Beoplay Elevens, they would be well worth to give it a try and share your opinion.
I had the Status 3 and I don’t hunk they’re even in the same league as the others in your top 10 much less top 5 just my personal opinion though lol. Hello 👋🏾 which of these two earbuds have better sound quality overall: - Devialet - True Wireless Earbuds Gemini II vs. Denon PerL Pro True Wireless Earbuds? Especially when it comes to Reggae and Hiphop musical genres.
I appreciate your thoughts on the 3ANC, but I have to disagree. As for your question, I would have to give a slight edge to the PerL Pro. The mids and highs are on par with the Gemini II, but the bass hits much harder on the PerL Pros. IMO.
@ I’ve that’s what I need to hear I purchased the Denon last month when they were on sale half price for Black Friday I couldn’t pass up on that deal but I’m glad you have them in the number one slot Nev I really didn’t want o have to pay $400 for a pair of earbuds because they are the best having to settle for number two overall smh 🤦🏾♂️ lol 😆!
You're list is for sound quality isn't it? Because the Realme Air Pro 6 is not a good performer for ANC or in other areas as well. I'm good with you're list except for the 100$ and under that one i don't agree with. Agree to disagree. 💯🥇🇺🇸
Ron you should make ratings in DIFFERENT categories: 1. Audiophile (90 percent final score of each specific earbuds comes from sound quality only). 2. Best ANC 3. Best app/function customization / future ready 4. Best seal/wear comfort (able to sport, run, sleep with earbuds) 5. Best cross platform (tested on zoom, teams meeting platforms, connectivity with smartphone, pc, tablet, ps4, laptop, smart tv) 6. Best durability (water, dust, pressure tests) 7. Best manufacturer support (app updates, product replacement (warranty), extra mile (for example sony send extra silicone tips for free if user dont go with included foam tips). Otherwise your tests remains highly subjective. You should not in any case rate Denon product no1 because of major and critical problems for users. Awful.
