      Hold your hand upside down immediately after application to get the apex with the help of gravity. You can begin to cure this way for a few seconds and then flip hand over for the remaining time.

    With builder gel I would recommend after the base gel apply a thin layer of gel and do NOT cure it under the lamp , after that you want to add a thicker layer in a “u” form (if you can angle your finger down to use faculty to help) and then turn your finger upside down so the gel can self level and add an apex to the correct part of your nail, then cure like you normally would. I would recommend doing one nail at a time ✨

    Hey BIAB user here! My best tip is definitely to use a very thin coat and DO NOT CURE but then add a bead on and float the gel generally over the nail then flip your hand upside down for like 10 seconds. Most BIAB is self levelling so can leak onto side walls very quickly so make sure to work fast and cure asap

    Not sure what you found that said base gel isn’t necessary but for gels it is, things like builder gel or hard gel a base gel provides adhesion to the natural nail. Now some soft gels can hold on pretty well to the natural nail without base (like the Young Nails Fiber gel) but that’s a trial and error thing. It’s always safest to just use a base gel prior to a gel application. Oh yes and I’m a licensed nail tech promise I’m not just giving random info without being able to back it up 😂❤

    Polish the gel in thin coats like you're doing regular polish, let settle for 10 seconds and then cure full 60 seconds in between each layer. It will allow you to BUILD them as thick or thin as you'd like and you don't have to do a ton of filing. You're welcome 😊

    I use builder gel to do my nails by myself and I thinks it’s very nice for extensions if you don’t want acrylic. But I think that you have to use a little bit less gel in your nails and do it in layers so that there’s more uncured product 🤗

    • @NotLikeUs17
      @NotLikeUs17 7 месяцев назад

      So you can overlay builder gel over nail extensions, similar to acrylic? I’ve been looking all over the internet for this answer because I’m thinking about trying it for my homemade press-on nails.

  • @momNOseBeST

    Try a different builder gel that is not so runny. Also try keeping it just in the middle and then use a thin liner brush to do the sides it will prevent flooding. Flip you finger upside will help level it in middle for the right structure. Modelones or bottles both have good builder in a bottle. I personally prefer potted builder gels they tend to be thicker n move less but most are hard gel and you just fill

  • @sarahdarakjy7653

    As someone that used to wear extensions that currently does overlays over my natural length.....extensions actually saved me way more time surprisingly. My natural nails grow at different angles (?) Some are crooked.. some curve downward some are perfectly straight.... trying to get all of them symmetrical/even with one another took significantly longer than building from scratch or putting a tip on. Just my own personal experience😅

    Builder gel tips: you can add a slip layer by applying one thin coat of the builder gel and cure it for 30 seconds then use a bead of builder gel and light tap it where you want it to go (it will only go where the gel has already been)
    I suggest one nail at a time and also putting your nail upside down so the majority of the product will go to the middle of the nail creating an apex :) great job btw! Love the pink with the designs!

    Use a fine sanding ban or a fine grit file to wrap up your nails really good, clean your cuticles really well with the diamond bits. I prefer to do a dry manicure but to each its own. Then I dehydrate with acetone and go in with Young Nails protein bond. If you want a thinner and more natural looking alternative you should try fiber glass Gel. Didier is good.

    • @kristinacharisma

      @@KianaBonollo ok, to make it easier put the drop few mm away from your cuticles, then get a really thin brush and with a really light hand move the brush towards the end starting from center, it will be way smother already, and with that, flip it for a 5-10 seconds it will end up like a perfectly smooth surface! Don’t forget to cover the very edge of your nails, it makes them last longer 😄
      Another tip is to use LED lamp instead of UV, it cures faster so this way gel has no chance of moving while curing

    What works for me is building my nail structure at the very end right before the top coat. I tend to be easily annoyed with texture on my nails so what I do is do all the nail art (w/o 3D charms) then build structure using clear builder gel then top coat. The builder gel creates the structure and support for longer nails while also masking all the bumps and texture that nail art and stickers have.

    • @OnyxCross
      @OnyxCross 3 месяца назад

      You're not removing it properly. Cut as much length as you can without cutting your natural nails. Then, use an e-file or manually file as much of the product off the nail as possible without getting the natural nail. Soak a cotton ball or pad in acetone and use a nail clip or aluminum to wrap and hold the cotton against the nail for 15 minutes. Gently scrape with a cuticle pusher. Repeat the process if necessary. Use a fine grit file to remove any excess and smooth out your natural nail. Apply cuticle oil and a good moisturizer when you've finished.
