If you need to ReSharpen your cuticle nippers you can crumple up some aluminum foil and snip into it with the nippers a few times this should solve the dullness rather than having to repurchase new ones
There’s a lot of controversy on whether you should remove any skin at all that isn’t cuticle. Because cuticles are not the skin around your nails, that is the proximal nail fold (living skin at the point where the nail grows out of) and the lateral nail folds (living skin at the sides of the nail plate). If that proximal fold is removed you risk exposing the nail matrix underneath, and tbh the dry areas just come back with a vengeance. The skin knows it’s being damaged and reacts by strengthening it against further trauma- It’s skin just like anywhere else on your body, if it’s dry, sticking the nail plate, there’s no need to nip just use a cream with urea and a gentle exfoliant to hydrate and lock in moisture. After a couple weeks you should see a difference❤❤
I’ve used regular base with builder in a bottle for a couple of years now and it’s always been fine. I won’t use 100 grit on my nails when they only have a little gel layer left on it’s really harsh I use 180 or if it’s just natural nail 240 x
Hi, so am I right in saying if you want clear biab then it’s just rubber base then the clear bias and that’s it but if it was colour how does that work? Do you use base then clear biab then set a gel polish on top?
dont you have to apply after the base, a thin layer of rubber gel then without curing, you add like a dot of gel and you slightly work with the brush and help a little to edgea and then cure?
Hi, thanks for the informative content. Do you think it’s possible to do the biab after a 2 in 1 base coat? Would the only downside be that it lifted sooner? Thank you!
Not intending to spread have , but, as a nail tech , this is very wrong from many aspects😂 applying product close to the cuticle will NEVER cause lifting unless the nail bed preping is not on point and there is stilll dead skin on it , applying top coat on the gel is mandatory , and capping the tips with product îs a nail myth ,you file it anyways for shaping
Hey quick question if i wanted to then go on to put a gel polish ontop of the builder do i still use a base coat or just go straight in with colour :) thank you
My gel chips if I cap the free edge. I’ve been trying the opposite and actually gently filing the side walls and tips after I’ve cured all the layers and it’s actually making it last longer on the nails.
If you're putting colour on over the builder, can you just apply it straight out of the lamp? Or do you need to prep the builder for the colour by buffing it?
Is this soak off or file off? I was lookinng on their website and it seems that the white and clear biab are file off and the coloured biab are soak off. Is it not the same formula? Very confused D:
Hiya, do you have to apply the rubber base if you are using a coloured biab or is it just for clear biab you have to use a rubber base ❤ This was an amazing video xxx
Hello is this just a normal UV gel lamp? And could you recommend any brands to buy from? I am wanting to start doing my own BIAB + Gel nails but don’t know where to start and know some brands can be rubbish! Thank u ☺️
Hey, a rubber base is an extra strong base coat that can be used underneath any gel colour. It must be used when using the gel bottle clear BIAB as this gives it a base for the BIAB to attach to. Hope this makes sense I wipe them to remove the sticker layer using an alcohol wipe
I am confused.. if you use the clear biab and colour, do i need to to apply a base coat before clear biab? if I apply a colour do i use a top coat? Thanks
Hey. So yes you still need to apply the rubber base. When ever your using clear builder by the gel bottle as you will get lifting. You don’t have to apply builder if you are just wanting to paint them a colour. So you can just use a base coat then your colour then your top coat. But this sometimes is strong enough for some peoples nails. And yes you need to use a topcoat to seal it all in and give it its shine after you have put a colour gel over the builder Hope this helps
@@finettevandermeer116 my biab kit came with top coat and every other person I’ve seen use it uses a top coat but I do make a small extension with a paper form. I got quite a large kit on Amazon by Gersion and it comes with everything you need and 6 different colors including clear for only $9.99 and it works really well!
@@finettevandermeer116 - I use the ASP Builder Gel in a bottle in a nude pink and I never put top coat on. I usually put a nail polish over it but sometimes when I don’t have enough time to fill my nails and and then paint them I just leave them without top coat as the finish is super shiny on it’s own. But that’s only if I don’t have to file them to smooth them out. If I have to file then to smooth them I’ll do that then add a thin coat over it to get that shine back
Yh it will not dry without a light. A very thin layer will dry in a couple hours but usually people apply a thicker layer which will never dry rlly. There’s cheap lights on Amazon. Just make sure to read reviews to make sure they work well. I got one for £9 but it’s one where you can only cure one finger at a time.
Sorry my nails are slightly stained, iv'e been gardening this weekend 😂
Great vid! Did u say don’t apply cuticle oil if we use gel polish on top of Biab?

this helped me so much with lifting at the tip omg, i never thought to file after the top coat!!

No we like the skin snipped stop telling people what to do
I have used biab for 3 years and never ever used a base coat and never had any lifting whatsoever

Exactly
You have such pretty natural nails. Thanks for the vid❤️

Yep you do

How long do they last ? I normally use acrylic powders
Your videos are so relaxing!😘😘
Thankyou! X
Very precise and clear instructions
Hiya, which UV lamp do you use?
Hi, thanks for the informative content. Do you think it’s possible to do the biab after a 2 in 1 base coat? Would the only downside be that it lifted sooner? Thank you!
I do not use any basecoat and have never had any lifting. I only do my own nails.
You didn’t add a top coat?!?

Hey, just go straight in with the colour :)
@@HuyanaBeauty thank you :)

Do not use my basecoat during the process. It makes builder gel lift.
Which cuticle oil are you using and recommend?
Cute nails you have❤️
What did you use to wipe over it with, was it acetone?
Hey it’s was just an alcohol wipe for the sticker layer :)

Do you need a rubber base for the coloured biab or just the clear? 😊
Only for BIAB clear and BIAB white! :)
Is the biab supposed to be tacky after curing? I’m leaving it without top coat to get it polished at the salon but it feels tacky
Yes that's normal
If you're putting colour on over the builder, can you just apply it straight out of the lamp? Or do you need to prep the builder for the colour by buffing it?
Yes it can go straight over out of the lamp
is a 100 grit file not too harsh on the natural nail?
Do you not add a top coat after you've buffed
No not necessary. You apply the top coat last x
What is the rubber base before the biab? Do you cure that too I am new to biab
Yes I cure it x
No using acetone to clean smooths out the gel left on your nail, and the new product won’t adhere to the old product as well

You can soak off the clear biab

What is a rubber base ?????
Hey, its just a really durable base base coat
Do you have to use rubber base I can’t get gel in a bottle brand can I use others?
No lamp after the base?
Do you use an efile to remove it? Also could you use a ph bonder as a base instead of the rubber base?
Iv never tried one. Although they do look great.
I just use acetone to remove xx
Hi! I’m a beginner with BIAB but mine peel off like within a week… what do i do wrong?
No idea lol Just follow these steps use a good gel brand and with practice you will get better : )

Gel Bottle
So you don't cure any of it ? I'm confused. Ughh
You didn't put a primer or an dihydrator
I believe the rubber base has primer in it and you just prep with acetone
People who cut their "cuticles" are psycho.
Does the BIAB smell? Mine smelled like cheese while curing and still smells 3 hours later 🤢
Actually some of my clients say it does have a wierd smell, but I don't really notice it I think because I use it everyday
Mine always smells like sick 😂
I hope you don't do nails like this on paid clients. I was horrified how you treated those cuticles.
