- DC Rivals Hypercoaster is an incredible roller coaster at Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia. This Mack mega coaster features a masterful layout blending airtime hills and turns. And the coaster most famously features a backwards row that adds a whole new dimension!
I love theme park parking lot ambiance. Hear all the coasters and screams. I can almost smell the food and the hot tarmac.
Seeing great coaster skylines from there really gets you amped for your day.
YOU FINALLY GOT HERE!
Yes I did.
Excited for the review! Love this ride so much.
Hope you enjoy it!
Had the chance to ride this last month--well worth the 13 hour flight!
It was the highlight of the trip for me.
Yes! IM EXITED TO HEAR TOUR REVIEW
Will be out tomorrow.
Feeling an impending 10/10 on this one 👀 excited for ya!
You'll see tomorrow!
Can’t wait for this review. Glad you made it down to ride it! Congrats
My jaw dropped when I saw this, when's the review?
Yes
Should be tomorrow.
First theme park worldwide, then coaster studios, now you. Seems like everyone is going to Australia now.
I know right
All the big coasters opening conveniently worked out timing wise with my honeymoon.
@@CanobieCoaster oh that's great to hear you got married
Now thats cool, do like the colors. Fun looking ride.
Definitely has a distinct look.
so happy you made it out to Australia I’m so jealous
It was an amazing trip!
YOU MADE IT OUT THERE!!!!
Yes
oh nice u got australia off your bucketlist! Did u get a some good perks from the parks just like some other coaster channels on youtube?
I had no special filming, backstage access, or passes at Movie World. Went as a regular guest.
@@CanobieCoaster shame your channel deserves it for sure. hope you are down there with your fiancee and having a great time. appreciate the comment as always Canobie 👌
In some ways, it's good since it makes the review more genuine since I can see the park as any other guest.
I can see this type of ride open at American parks like Six Flags St. Louis.
I'd love for them to one day get a hyper.
I just got back from a trip to the Gold Coast, and my opinions on the ride have changed, some for better and some for worse.
Firstly, the middle section is incredible. Much better than people give it credit for. If you have your hands up or are sitting backwards, you cannot brace for the turns and you are absolutely thrown! These moments compliment the crazy laterals on the first drop and non-inverting loop really good.
Secondly, I got almost no airtime on the second hill when I was sitting towards the back. I find it a bit odd because my front row rides gave decent ejector, but even backwards the camelback was a disappointment. It was probably the way the trim brake hit, after front row riders got airtime but before back row riders could get any.
DC Rivals is still an amazing coaster and one I love to ride. I'm going between this and Superman for my favourite coaster because both are amazing coasters, but I unfortunately will not be able to ride anything until the summer, when a new coaster will come and steal the crown.
Where's the trim that impacts the 2nd hill? I got plenty of airtime on that hill in back. The middle section still delivers going backwards.
@@CanobieCoaster just before the crest of the hill. It's hard to spot but visible in front row POVs. When I rode in September I was getting decent ejector in every row, but it somehow crawled over that hill in back when it sped over in front this visit. All the other hills hit so I don't think it's a restraint thing. I would compare the airtime in back to that of the Stengel dive. It's really odd...
One thing about DC Rivals is I wish they had one train that had a proper forward facing back row since the reverse seat is often empty due to the upcharge, and since you can't actually have a proper back ride row facing forward on this hyper coaster (or Leviathan at Sea World for that matter, very much a Village Roadshow Corportation thing they do), it would be great to experience the full force of the coaster in the true back row.
That's fair, especially since the back was going out empty on so many trains from what I saw.
This was the first notification I saw as I check my phone after showering............I'm flabbergasted
Enjoy!
HE FINALLY MADE IT!!!
Yes!
WHAT?!? SINCE WHAT DATE DID YOU ARRIVE TO AUSTRALIA?! My hat's off to you, Mike!🤯🤯🤯🤠🎩🖐🙂
Ikr I wish I could go to Australia
I was there for my honeymoon. I am back now.
I swear every coaster channel turned aussie for thus month
Makes sense since many of us were waiting for Leviathan.
You're here? Would love to see you Mike. But I guess you didn't tell us on purpose lol but it would have been so much fun to ride with you. Heck, if you make it down to Melbourne I'd love to at least see you at Gumbuya. In any case, have fun!
I intentionally kept the trip quiet since I was there for a honeymoon. We didn't get down to the Melbourne area though. We chose to go to the Great Barrier Reef instead of heading down that way.
@@CanobieCoaster Ok well shit, Congratulations on your wedding. WOW! So happy for you guys XX
Hah! I knew it. Looking forward to Superman and Leviathan reviews.
Should have all those out within 2 weeks.
did you finally make it out to the outback?
Yes, I dropped a hint on April Fool's Day.
my man how are you so well travelled
I try.
I am going to be so curious to see your review on this one as I have honestly always felt it is a bit overrated and preferred the FLASH model, which most disagree with btw. Sorry for all the messages but genuinely excited you are here and so looking forward to the vids. I give Rivals an 8/10 so will be so curious to see your ratings and compare it relatively to other hypers you have rated.
I thought it was a great ride! The backwards row is a big advantage you can't get on a ride of this scale elsewhere.
YES NOW YOU'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE BUT CHINA! so happy for you man!
North Korea ????!
@@TacoCoasters eh their coasters are eh there’s one elite and a lot of mid
@@masterwatermelonthemeparks they got rolling x train. That arrow doubble loop doubble screw is better than t express
Don't think anyone's going there anytime soon, lol.
@@theintamindude lol
Wonder why everyone is coming here now when we’re getting 4 new Vekomas and an alpine coaster within the next 1.5 years?
We went for our honeymoon. It wasn't just a coaster trip.
@@CanobieCoaster Nice
Also just passed this ride today. Was unable to ride, though. Driving to the airport
What a shame you are missing out on Scooby Doo.. of all the times to go down for an extensive refurb.. it's pretty much in the top 5 worldwide for Mice as braking is minimal and it's fully themed, oh well! Next time in 2025!
Scooby Doo looked awesome. It wasn't scheduled to be down back when we booked the trip, but at least we got on most of the big coasters.
It kind of looks like you're following coaster studios haha
Quite a few enthusiasts are going down now. I think everyone was waiting for Leviathan.
@@CanobieCoaster ahh that makes sense
My question is where do you even make all this money from?
I'm an engineer. A lot of my travel is work related (this trip was not).
@@CanobieCoaster my dream is to become a roller coaster engineer what type of engineer are you?
