I love how the roasting isn't limited to the bikes themselves - roasting Joe about 'sent from my iPhone' and saying you can change that in settings was gold 😂
hahaha first thing to change when i get an iphone
Hey Mr. Projects (can I call you Gary?) Thank you for the fantastic roast I greatly appreciated it. I think youll be happy to know the bike returning to its MTB roots with a 2X9 setup that im working on. (Also the cranks are deore XT!!)
no worries thanks for sending! that sounds great! also cant go wrong with deore xt
That Chrome Mongoose was my favorite, some nice setups..
That was a cool one for sure
Hi Gary, Toma here.
Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked my bike. Sorry, I should have given some specs. The brake levers are DangerBoys levers for old Avid brakes (Juicy 3's here). I think they have discontinued some of the cycling stuff but they seem to still be around!
Fun fact, the bike came originally with 700c wheels but previous owner changed to some random 650b ones. It's actually better, as I could fit wider tires in the back, up to 42mm! Pretty sure in 700c, I would have been limited to 35 or narrower.
no worries ! thanks for sending in, oh wow thats cool , the levers do look cool indeed. oh they are 650b nice! ya i got it wrong, 650 b will. be better for fatter tyres for sure. lucked out with the purchase, nice one
Always entertaining. These videos are great for long nights at work. Thanks!
Thanks Clint ! Where are you working that you u can watch TV at work ?? Sounds fun 😂
@@garysprojects I'm a machine operator. Once I get the machine running I'm on cruise control. LoL
Hahaha *sets machine on cruise control 😂
Cool video series. Swept back mustache bars are popular. Lol moto bars too. Several were great cruisers and others super capable. A lot of amazon, temu and aliexpress parts but they do have cool accessories. Lol good video regardless
haha yeah it looks like people like to be a bit more upright and comfy. ya definitely interesting to see bikes around the world and what parts are popular / easy accessible. cheers mate thanks for watching!
Thanks for roasting my Peugeout PH11 1984, (Reinier here). Adding another brake now atm. The stem was stock. I wonder how you would've approached this 'street racer' type of bike I was getting at. By the way, it is partly because of you why I started tinkering with bikes anyhow so thanks for that.
thanks for sending in! cool bike. if i were to do it i would get a negative drop stem with riser bars (similar to alot of fixed gears) or alternatively i would go drop bars. cheers mate!!
Good batch of bikes, and the salty reviews/roasts gave me a few laughs. Thanks, Gary!
😂😂😂 cheers mate was fun doing them
I loved the first bike it reminded me of the Omnium cargo bike, and I really like those bikes 👍🏾
Hell ya that was a nice bike. Cheers Rory !
Hi Gary, Peter's bike was definitely deserving of its roast. That said, a slight rearward tilt on the front rack is often ideal for handling while carrying load!
hahah for sure ! just part of the roast . definitely don't recommend a fwd tilt though 😂
Peter agrees on the tilt of the rack tilt and carrying load! @Gary, It could also not get more horizontal because of the mount points. I like the idea of shorter strut.
ahh i see fair enough !
That Avanti Breeze was sick as, especially the tyre reflector 😂 ... But the winner for be this round is Alex's Diamond Back.
🤣🤣🤣 it was sick ! Alex’s was pretty awesome indeed. Cheers Harry!
Shout out to Taiwan, old school made in taiwan sticker is always nice to see ✌️
Hell ya dude ! 💕💕
thanks Gary, love all these bikes but Noah's was my favourite, great stuff
Cheers Reece ! I love seeing my all the bikes too! Noah had a nice one for sure !
I like these roast vids
@@jackcarter233 thank you Jack !
Can we talk about the 1 1/8 headset on the Joes Specialized Hardrock 30mm steerer tube. Where can i get one? :O
Hahaha not sure mate
Hi greetings from argentina. Im trying to back to life a giant roam i think is from 2013. Do you think is a improvement go from square tape cranck to hollowtech? Weigth ? Durability?
Yep both , I put them on my Kona bike , very pleased with them 👍
Yo Noah, what pedals are you running on your rockhopper? I need some like those. Rad build BTW. Cheers!
let us know Noah!!
33:00 Is this guy trying to generate electricity with those cable lengths?
hahahah trying to create his own coiled battery
i like these videos
@@tasthedingus thank you
I'm keen for a shop I can walk into, when are we doing it!?!
Gary lug?
Hahaha maybe one day !
Comment about Taiwan was simply cause it missed American production by a year and has a goofy Chicago logo on it like apple products. Glad you like the cruiser otherwise. Been enjoying everyone’s bikes!
@@X0oSCOTTo0X hahah cheers mate , was just a cheap stab 🤣, I definitely think it would be cool to get a Chicago bike made in Chicago (especially from that era). I think my red Schwinn is the same boat as yours. Thanks for sending in !! Cheers Scott!
@@garysprojectsvisited working bikes in Chicago and their basement had nearly a thousand Chicago made frames in it. They are headed straight to scrap according to the shift lead 😢. but you were dead right about my build though. I volunteer at a coop and got the cruiser for $45 when it came in, almost every part I put on it cost more than the bike. 🔥💵🔥
Haha sweet looking bike though ! Def worth it. I love the paint too !
@@garysprojects I’m kind of building a fleet of blue bikes because of this paint. Has a nice pearl fleck to it that looks really nice.
19:00 What is this rack?
would like to know too!
Roast me!! lol
how to in the description of the video
I like Joe‘s ride much…it has my favorite colour combination black and yellow😎
Ayyy nice ! Cheers mate !
