In relative terms, going from 30 to 35 leadership is a ~16.5% increase, which is quite a bit. So Scurvy Dogs (and their identical cousins Dire Wolves) should see a noticeable increase in the threshold to crumbling.
Petition to call Swiftshiver Shards "Swifties" for future commentary purposes /s
honestly? the main man durthu is a very questionable pick against a gunpowder faction. pretty much a big target that just screams "shoot me"
Was VC's game to lose with WE's failure to protect their archers so early on. Durthu also strikes me as a questionable choice against a gunpowder-heavy faction...
I think the purpose of Durthu was to bring that new debuff he has that negates magic weapon damage, thereby giving his completely forest spirit front line ensured physical resistance. Honestly this army comp would be interesting against demons and chaos. But yeah, the deployment of the archers so far away from support was questionable for sure.
Bringing big boy Durthu is definitely an interesting choice against VC. But besides him both players definitely had interesting build's to say the least
How is their gunpowder and artillery compared to other factions? I think zombie pistols can still shoot outside of their range as long as they are moving forward.
The zombie handgunners are by far the strongest basic firearm unit in the game. Compared to say, the Empire Handgunners or Thunderers- they have MORE damage per shot per model, but they also have 33% more models and ALSO have their passive which grants them extra damage for their first several volleys. And to top it off, they're cheaper.
But positioning is a lot more important with them, because 1) they're super slow 2) they have low leadership 3) they have worse armor and melee stats than even the Empire's ranged units 4) you don't have any cavalry to screen with, your cheap halberd unit has only 23 speed, and your other anti-large unit with any speed costs 1200g.
I dont get it why vampire coast would get a buff.. they were an okay faction and are annoying as hell to fight, probably my least favourite match up
