    something I learned a long time ago while i was messing with a silent run ship, If you set your pips and turn off the distributor it will continue to function with your setting. the only thing the distributor needs power for is to change the pips.

    Good info, thanks. It is an opportunity to have special synergies, like a combo PP-PD gives advantage, for example make Guardian shield and FSD boosters more power-efficient, provide ultimately and combined the edge over Xenos.

    I have also been hoping for more synergy between the guardian tech. Specifically to counteract the additional heat and run a tiny bit cooler than our other modules. The more guardian tech used the colder it will run.

    What i see here is that; Guardian parts are better out of the box, and better to use in ships that you don't want to invest a whole lot of time into, wheras max engineered parts, while pricey, are worth the time investment in individual ships.

    You are editing better than before, I always love your videos. I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers, that is very mysterious because you make the most in depth informative vidéos about mechanics of ED in all RUclips. ObsidianAnt makes very good news about the game and makes very good space views, Yamiks is a funny guy without any important things to say, Down to Earth Astronomy is sharing good tips to progress, but YOU are the best to understand what works and why.
    I Also have a request for a future video if you want : I will be delighted if you can make a video with some indepth tests between Clean Drive thrusters vs Dirty Drive thrusters, because I tested them and I dont find Clean ones are useful. DD are faster, and theoretically very hot ; but CD don't seem to be as cool as intended and need a lot of energy from powerplant, wich makes your base ship heat higher than normal Thrusters and similar to DD. So I am thinking "what the hell is this crap ?"
    Powerplants with low emission and thermal spread work very well for heat management (silent running, fighting, fuel scooping...) because base heat becomes very low compared to overcharged PP (heat produced/power draw), the effect is undeniable. But Clean drive lets me doubtfully. Thermal load produced by thrusters, cell banks and weapons seems to not be linked to PP efficiency (maybe I am wrong but I am confident with that) so I am wondering why 0.47 thermal load vs 2.3 thermal load from thrusters doesn't make flagrant difference. The only way it makes a difference is using silent running and using intensively your thrusters. Gain some seconds more than with Dirty ones, no gain compared to normal thrusters if I compare to my own experience.
    I made some reseach on the web and so many people, even veterans, are confused about Clean Drive Thrusters efficiency.
    Again, thank you to be back on RUclips (and forgive my grammar).

      i will test clean drives vs dirty for cold, am interested in that myself.
      well, that subscriber thingie is also a mystery to me - all in all i care more about supporters than subscribers, 100 supporters can be worth more than 100 000 subscribers, that's also one of the reason i stopped making videos - time consumption was just too insane compared with gains, if someone thinks that i don't deserve support then he doesn't deserve my videos :) bottom line is we all deserve what we got so if ED community needs more news channels like OA or joke channels like Yamiks they will get that and not my kind of elite videos.

      Kornelius Briedis I understand, I know making videos needs a lot of time and energy (I have made some too but only for entertain some friends and myself ^^). That is harder than people think.
      Thank you for answering each time.
      You don't have enough views for the moment to make a good profit with adds. So I send you something by paypal (not big deal but better than nothing) because you are helpfull for people like me who needs to understand things and not only pew pew with no brain. And because you are the best, keep going and you will get what you deserve.
      By the way I am sure people will be happy to listen to you while some OA lives, and I know he likes your work. He recently talked about you in one of his videos.
      Have a nice day KB.

      and THANKS for your support! That is always much appreciated, am always looking for new pc gear and stuff :)

      For me it was the forced jokes and fake overemphasizing style. Toning those down was good. I had nothing to complain about the content.
      To understand what I mean check out the gun videos of "YankeeMarshal", I can't bear that guy

    One can utilize semantic's all they desire, but grinding conventional mat's vs guarding mat's is still grinding. The only difference I can determine is the fact that there are considerably more tech broker's than there are engineer's for a particular mod being particually engineered. Regardless of which, one has to grind the mat's, but then using a tech broker rather than having to hop from one engineer to another is by far and away, save's a lot of jumping.

    Thanks KB i really wanted to see a proper comparison between these to see if it was worth changing and your video was very informative 07

    This seems to be good if Armored power plant doesn't give you enough output, yet you really don't want to make power plant vulnerable - people hitting your power plant can be quite annoying, especially if it malfunctions on damage.

    hey which is better guardian or engineered because i want to use both power plant and power distributor problem is the heat, weapons capacity, systems capacity, and engine capacity, so i can use in combat; but problem is which one is better.

    Is there a bug ..i thought that you could only use 4 Guardian/Experimental modules ..i'm using 4 weapons and 3 modules an everything works fine?

    • @KorneliusBriedis
      @KorneliusBriedis  6 лет назад +3

      you can use 4 weapons and as many modules as you want as far as i know. limit is only for hardpoints.

      Have you tested if there any hidden advantages when using guardian power dist. with guardian weapons?

    • @KorneliusBriedis
      @KorneliusBriedis  6 лет назад +1

      i don't see a reason why there would be any benefit for guardian weapons because there is no info on that, there is info about power plant output increase so i would expect same about weapons, also guardian weapons don't have any information that if used with guardian PD they would benefit.
