Recovery means a soft but stable platform, not the marshmallow squishy type. Stability/less movement is what your feet needs after a very long walk. Hoka Ora Flips (look like normal slipper/slip-ons) and if you prefer Slides are quite good.
The "N" on the New Balance makes them look cheap. If they had made an effort to align the top of the letter with the small triangles, it would have looked much better. I'm really happy with Crocs' Mellow Slide; it's the best-looking of them all, and the comfort from the cushioning is fantastic.

if the slides are too tight, just stick the top half in boiling water. Continue to slide in to them until you reach the desired fit

Hoka recovery slide are amazing. I have flat feet and wide so had to size up, but have walked all summer and they are so comfy and stable.
