The 2's had durability issues and broke apart quicker than regular shoes. Wish my 20 year old 2's were still in wearable condition because I love the design in my opinion.

This is absolutely a newfound phenomenon. I won’t speak for all. I’m sure some hardcore signature Jordan heads looked down on Team Jordans from day 1 but this is such a prepubescent mindset. In my day, the term team Jordan didn’t even exist. Sure they weren’t signature but they were just “Jordans.”
I’d argue the evidence that this is a snobby hypebeast opinion is how popular this topic is right now. Meanwhile, back in the early 2000s, tons of guys balled in Jordan Pure and other team Jordans and they were all over the shelves. You definitely saw them as much, or more than the signature lines post 98 retirement. I only recall seeing one guy ever wearing a pair of 15s.
I honestly think this is just a teenaged-brand name-labels matter-gotta pay $700 over retail for the Travis Scott’s day after release mindset. Before this new version of being a sneaker head, people just enjoyed getting some fresh sneakers and nobody cared that they were the cheaper ones.
Hypebeasts have ruined the entire sneaker game.
Incredibly accurate comment. All the "You're not a _real_ sneakerhead if you wear/don't have X shoe" is so vapid and often devoid of individual thought. There's too much of a follower mentality in the sneaker hobby, as if seeking the approval of others by having the "correct" taste in fashion is the goal.
Fusions deserve more love especially when most of them are upgrades (comfort-wise)from the shoes they’re based on. I don’t care what anyone says the hybrids are just so comfy from the 6 rings to the 312’s

I really don't hate the Jordan 6 rings. They are cool looking to be honest and this comes from a real OG sneakerhead who started collecting Jordans since 1995.
Those people who hated the 6 rings are hypebeasts for sure.
I think this about 6 Rings, why have pieces of different Jordans? It doesn’t make one great shoe, however I’m not knocking anyone having them.

Jordan 6 Rings are among my favorite Jordans in terms of both looks and comfort - size up 1/2 size (or even a full size) and they're great. Great quality materials and unbelievable construction. Jordan 2s are also some of my fave since they have that quality formal look.
Great video! I for sure rocked a pair of Carmines to my highschool graduation in 2008 and was pleasantly surprised to see that pair back in style over the last few years.

(Nike Pumps!) i got a lot of EVERYTHING SB's Birkenstock, Salehe Bembury's both Croc's and New Balance Joints, I got some heat but I am a collector of shoes not a collector of HYPE!!! I think the 6 rings look dope. In fact, I think they look better than the Air Jordan 1s. Then again, what do I know? Sneaker heads are obviously the only opinions that matter.
Great video as always! I personally love the Jordan 2 for every day wear. I got mine when I started working a job where I was on my feet all day. Stable, and soft to stand in for long stretches.
I liked the Team Jordans that Eddie Jones and Vin Baker wore back in the late 90s. A lot of kids at my high school rocked them. These days, kids only want “hype”, but back then it worked
Tell us you don’t know what you’re talking about without telling us you don’t know what you’re talking about. The Jumpman Pro, Pro Quick, Trunner and Strong (vin bakers) all sold out when they dropped and are the few that aren’t known as “Miguel’s”. Growing up in Houston and Chicago when they all originally dropped, EVERYBODY was rockin those. The hate didn’t start until social media. Same with Jordan mids. When that Old Love/new Love pack dropped…they sold out and resell was crazy. Same with the black n gold patent leather mids.

Your research sucks. Jumpman shoes are not cheap and they definitely not trash. The problem is people follow hype. Which is why shoes dont sell. I own both and and 1 mid sell everyday in Chicago

I feel like if you weren’t alive to see Jordan play in Jordan’s, you shouldn’t be able to speak on certain things involving the shoe because you weren’t around to SEE what people were actually wearing. I live in houston and worked at the “Jordan mall” (Sharpstown but referred to that name because they had the most shoe stores with the most Jordan’s), we sold more Randy Moss “Super Freaks” in both colors than we did OG Laney 5s, Columbia 4s and white/silver 5s. They would’ve seen that olive 9s NEVER sold out and went to outlets. Just like how we had to put Laneys on clearance. Same with Mocha 3s, Olympic 6s. The only retroes people actually really bought were the 99 Jordan 4s in both Og colors and the 11s because it was the first time either had been retroed and that was the only time you got a pass wearing “old” Jordans because before that, the retro attempts FAILED.

I like the six rings but get why they get the hate. The sevens are the worst trying to them on and off your feet. 3's and 5's are my personal favorite. One more thing I just got two pairs or Air Jordan legacy 312 and the look and feel like a Walmart shopping bag so pass if you're thinking of getting a pair. The Zion Williamson 2 are my go to right now I got three different color ways.

2nd version Jordan 6 rings 'winterized' loosing the ankle strap has very much improved the overall look. In black or tan, both are nice colourways.

I just recently got the Gratitude 11's and they're my first pair of 11's, they quickly became my favorite Jordan model ever. I was always torn between the 3's and 4's as my favorite Jordan but 11's are definitely the goat for me. When I opened the box, I just got that wow factor of how nice they are. Also, anybody remember the Dub Zero's? I remember back when I was in 6th or 7th grade and seeing a lot of kids rocking them. Those were probably the only non-numbered Jordan I liked. Idk if they were a team Jordan or a fusion but the dubs were actually kinda clean.

I agree about 6 Rings looking mostly like knock-off 11s however I did get the Valor Blue/Ice colorway because I'm a UNC fan. I'm always partial to University Blue Jordans and Valor Blue is really close to the color. I think they look awesome but I'll prob just wear them when I go out to watch March Madness games or an actual UNC game.

For me, I personally simply don't care for team/fusion Jordans and J1 Mids (Rather than hating them). However, I would much prefer if Nike just spent the time/resources on just making more of the regular numbered Jordans. For example, I feel like it would be better if they just used all the AJ1 mid time/resources on making more of the popular colorways of the J1 high, so more people could have access to them.

The Jordan 15 is my all time favorite, and mostly because of the aforementioned risks Jordan brand took while designing it. When I wore my pair into school one day, many realized that it wasn't as bad as they had originally thought.

I love 6 rings because they are the perfect everyday Jordan shoe to play ball , work out and other activities in while still having that nice Jordan look, plus they have very good material. as a true sneaker head, all your shoes can't be retro, you have to have that shoe that won't hurt you messing up.

I knew nothing about Jordan's until last year, when I started buying some. My first pair: 6 Rings. I got a few complements from some girls at a local strip club. Next pair: All white mids. But guess what? I wear a 14, which means my mids are most likely higher than your highs. Next 2 pairs: 11 Comfort lows! Concord and Bred colorways. Most people complement them, but I've also caught some confused looks.

Yeah I remember when the team Jordan’s came out the whole bulls squad would wear them. In school it was cool to wear them and it was still considered a dope shoe they only became socially looked down upon when they retro’d and the new generation of sneakerheads came around
