Haven't played the game, but from context clues i think the intended way to find the hidden blocks is by playing as specific characters. I think the hidden blocks become visible when specific characters come close, allowing certain characters to find specific parts more easily

I'm gonna be kinda sad that the new main channel format doesn't allow for the same kind of stuff as the old Mario videos. I hope that Alphard still tries to make the main channel video more long form and relaxed like this video.

i think thats the difference between main channel and alpharad gold though. for main channel videos he writes scripts and puts effort into the videos and editing, meanwhile alpharad gold is for whenever jacob and jo play a game and wanna just record and post it

The image of Jome on the bench going, "I'm ready, coach, put me in!" is quite funny to me.
It was funny seeing you guys struggle aswell finding the moveable pipe. I searched with my brother forever to find that last one aswell. In the end we went into online mode and kept searching with other people until somebody found it. I think this level is specifically to try push the online feature, I really liked it.
The confusion on the last stage lol. I wonder if they haven't pushed a pipe prior to that one. I watched other playthroughs and I think there was a level prior to this one that introduces pipe pushing. I guessed they sped through it huh lol.
They missed a bunch of levels in the 1st area so pretty sure it was one of those with the pipe moving
I didn't get why the hallucination Mario game had an elephant transformation. Than I remembered Dumbo.
100% worth it to gacha for signs rather than purchase the hidden block badge. At least the prediction of needing a badge to complete a level came true, good call.
For the sake of 100% completion, you do need to buy out the shops _and_ get all the standees.
But yeah, I never used that badge lol
I discovered the main channel Alpharad through the original playthrough of Super Mario bros U deluxe, Jo became my favourite out of everyone.
So for Jo to be revisiting his role as nabbit is the purest amount of joy I've had in forever
It definitely sounds stupid but the reason people were tilted about Bowser as the antagonist does in fact seem to be it was a very popular theory that wart would be back as he was from the dream world and wonder seemed to also be a dream

i just realized what the character blocks are. hidden blocks that reveal themselves to you if you are playing as the character on them. me and a friend were playing and one of us was yellow toad and we found the one coin thing really easily but now i see where the difficulty in that can happen if you dont use that specific character.

53:00 Haha I love that you used phone a friend for the second coin! I always have the internet connection on, we had 4 people running around like lunatics for about 10 minutes then someone pushed the pipe. They placed a standee right where the block is (which looks odd cos floating standee) which is how I noticed you can push the pipe. I then did the same for the remaining ghost and we all left together, online feature is great!
The perfect game didn't existed until now, so glad to see a Nintendo W. Hopefully Naughty bear for the xbox360 and ps3 will one day get a W too

Then I thought of all how blessed I am that Alpharad Gold is still POPPIN and decided it's at least only my second hardest year thanks to you all. The mario anime ova is awesome not only does mario gets cucked but Luigi grinds for coins for the entire movie and saved the day because of it ( also hi jome )
I only found out about that hidden block star piece because online play was on and I saw someone pushing something, which told me pipes could be pushed. Then when I found it I was able to direct them to it!
One thing I immediately noticed is that this game feels a lot like A Hat in Time. Having badges that give you either abilities and passives and stuff. Or you could say it uses forbidden Paper Mario gimmicks.
Unlike hat in time you cant change badges mid level.

As far as non-spinoff games go, the only games I can think of where Bowser is NOT an antagonist would be Super Mario Land 1 (Tatanga) and 2 (Wario), and potentially Super Mario RPG, the later Paper Mario series, and the Mario & Luigi series (if you don't count their scripted fights in the RPG/M&L series)
So glad to see I wasn't the only one stuck on the coin thingy

As someone who has 100%ed the game on my very legitimate copy (all medals), it is really not as hard as Alpha makes it out to be. You need to grind Flower Coins to get all the Standees but that's about it.
The 4/5 star levels are pretty challenging but I never really dipped below 70 lives after I hit 99 in world 3
