It's amazingly poetic how their streak of abusing a loophole to milk the same game for content officially ended with them playing a game that they literally have an entire legacy of milking for content

i think being able to merge two different pieces (mario and mushroom) into big mario is a really unique take on the suika genre but i feel like they could've explored the concept more
And being able to skip pieces with other pieces like fire flower is a really cool mechanic! Also being able to power up current pieces with the star is a real game changer in the suikalite community. Also I’m glad they added special pieces like Link!

Agreed! The characters in Gurumin, Devil Survivor, Yokai Watch Blasters, and Idol Showdown are all rather fond of watermelon after all that Suika gaming.

For the Speedrunning conversation at around 48:00, I actually own a World Record for “Mr Bean Matching Pairs” Easy and Medium difficulties. and yeah, matching pairs with rng is a terrible speed game.
Also I am responsible for the complete removal of a category extension in Ravenfield speedrunning, no one ran the custom ruleset before but when I did it I removed all enemies and just auto won so the mods removed it once they realised that.

As someone who speed ran endless easy both normal and blindfolded, holy shit is an exhilarating category to run. I feel like it’s the one thing I someone with very very little gaming skill can do and still have a chance and constantly make improvements solely due to RNG

This series inspired me to get top 1000 in Mario maker endless easy during quarantine. I think I did around 8000 levels.
