    The engine braking on the old model suits me perfectly. The rear storage isn't the slightest bit waterproof like the seals would lead you to think but hey, I prefer a leaky box than no box at all

    New model 570, doesnt have A-Arm guards, has practically no more covered storage, front rack connectors are cheap rubber, but besides that its cool

      I completely agree. I love my bike, I have the trail premium. But the kick in the teeth from the simple losses of storage, as well as the lack of attention to detail.
      I'd rather have bought a 2018

    Aesthetically looks more pleasing even though the front storage is flimsy. I don't like that they have removed the rear under storage area. I've always found that storage useful.

    When I bought my 2021 last month, it was right when I was able to afford it.
    I had been researching for months, visiting dealers, and getting financially set.
    Nobody had any. One dealer said $500 non-refundable to order, with no guarantee of a machine, date, or further details! 🤯
    Kinda that year, yknow?
    Stopped in one day and saw her shining in the sunlight. 🤩
    I knew.
    The idea of waiting 6 weeks would have been unbearable 😫
    When the lender questioned value to cost, explaining current availability was simple.
    😎 This base 570 efi is bad as Badoo!

    Nice looking machine, but deleting the rear storage makes no sense. But what doesn't polaris listen to? Where are the 2"receivers already? Everything fits a 2", nothing fits the baby receiver. For instance, i have farm implements that I use only on my other ATV, which makes replacing it with a Polaris impossible. Shame on you polaris, everyone has said it, just do it.

    Not a lot of stock in BC right now, so I found 45km used and jumped on it. It had heated grips installed, so my wife stole it immediately, as well the accessory plug works very nicely with her heated jacket. I am now on her 2014 550. good luck finding a new one off the shelf. I have a 2018 570 Hunter edition I bought gently used and I have no complaints with it other than the battery position. Thing is a work horse and does everything I ask it to do. I can't imagine a world where I would ever want to sell it to buy a new model even though I could probably get what I paid for it because everything is so expensive right now. Maybe eventually I'll upgrade to a Ranger but unless they completely redesign the Sportsman I don't see the value being there to sell/buy.

    In an earlier review, you were very critical of the flimsy front compartment lid. This is a deal killer for me as I use my ATV for hunting and need to be able to strap heavy loads securely to the front platform. I like all the improvements you demonstrate here, but again, I can not purchase a 2021 with this flimsy front compartment. Do you think there is any chance this will be fixed in next year’s model? If so, I will wait. If not, I will purchase the CanAm..

    Maybe Polaris should concentrate on correcting fuel pump issues, heat from engine exhaust burning legs, battery location. Making them affordable to work on and repair. The user should be able to purchase the same diagnostic equipment as the dealers and repair shops. After owning a 2016 sportsman, I'll never buy a brand new fourwheeler. Too expensive to repair and warranties are pretty much non existant for a $8-15k or more vehicle.
    Polaris isn't the only one screwing the customers. Buyers beware of repair costs.

    • @nathan22outdoors8
      @nathan22outdoors8 3 года назад

      fair, except you could just get an extremely reliable ATV and totally forget the entire maintenance cost issue. I just bought a 2022 Honda Rubicon because I know about Hondas reliability. I don't know a single person with a Polaris over 7-8 years old but I have a 1986 Honda that runs perfectly fine and I know 10-15 people with 15+ year old Hondas without any issues. As someone who isn't performance orientated and more focused on a nice ATV that will last me well over 15 years I bought a Honda. Its not everyone's cup of tea because some people think the only thing that matters are 90hp Can-am. but I think if anyone is looking for a reliable ATV, id rather spend 10k on a new Honda that may not ride as well as a Polaris than spend 7 on a Polaris that will cost me 3 grand in maintenance in 5 years to the point where something critical happens to the trans or motor and I need to buy a new ATV completely.

    • @Lewdog65
      @Lewdog65 3 года назад +2

      @@nathan22outdoors8 my dad had a 1990 something Polaris that runs like a scolded dog. He isn't very nice to it either, actual pretty much neglects it in every way. Fires up and rides whenever. I agree Hondas are nice machines. I still have my 1985 dirt bike I got new when I was eleven. My son rode it for several yes, until he out grew it. But their prices are outrageous too. My point with the above post is the new vehicles any of the have too many electronics that aren't manufacture to last. I think they do just the opposite, make them cheap so you will have to replace the parts or the machine. I'll way, kids and wife have no interest in atvs/utvs anymore. None of my friends go, kinda boring going by yourself. Sold all of it and just ride my old Harley.
      Also, I stopped watching this channel because these guys just suck up to can am, Honda and Polaris etc. They only respond to the people who tell them how much they "love" their videos. It'd be nice if the did some honest reviews and actually tell the manufacturers how bad their machines really are.

    • @nathan22outdoors8
      @nathan22outdoors8 3 года назад

      @@Lewdog65 nah this channel definitely sucks off polaris the most, every single comparison they have done they made the polaris the winner for "value" because none of them see the reliability of having a bike for longer than 2 years. Also honda has kept their bikes pretty much bullet proof for years, all the buttons on the bars are pretty close to the same as they were in 86, they are also the only company that still has a pullstart along with electric start on their bikes. And you can obviously still get them foot shift, not sure how many other manufacturers offer that either.

    What I have read from forums, 2021 has so much problems. Same fault codes pop up all the time. And it's funny how everybody talks about muddin with polaris. It can't handle a little bit water because it leaks from variator case and then you have water/snow/liquid in your clutch.

    Thinking about switching from a 2018 Artic Cat Alterra 700 to this Polaris Sportsman 570. Will I notice a big difference in power from the 700? Is the 570 made for a 250 lb man? Seems like it should be more for middle schoolers than men...

    Have 2020 Sportsman 570 Premium LE not in a hurry to trade it works just fine, the tires though are 100% garbage looks like Polaris got a Big Lots deal on them, also the battery up top (2021) gets wet & full of mud so location is subjective, I like the front storage 2021 will not work for me also front rack/plastic cover is flimsy 2021's I have seen on the trail have warped, also really like the rear storage why they removed it is anybody's guess. 2022 should have all the issues addressed, 2021 is a solid pass for us.

      Pretty straightforward! Get a grease gun and pump enough grease through all zerk fittings so you can see grease starting to peak out from each fitting. Change oil and filter at 25 hrs first then every 150 hrs from then on, and check fluids like coolant regularly for good color and volume. Not much else to do on a relatively simple machine like an ATV. Have fun!
