If I should change something about your Creek Tower design, it would be to remove the circular platform at the top that the steel strings are attached. I'd instead make them slowly incorporate into the tower itself to maintain the narrow look. In this way the tower would look more and more thin the higher you look instead of a sudden bumb.♥ (also if possible add water around the tower, you might already have intended too with the green marks you have at the foundation.)

the tower looks good, however i guess that the cost to maintaine it will be quiet high and difficult, mostly because of the cables that hold the tower in place. if they are not taken care of, an accident like that happened with the genova bridge in 2018 or the arecibo-telescope could be happen here aswell, with a very dramatic result for its environment

Im literally living in Creek Island and can see the full construction of the Dubai Creek Tower, and it has been active in the past few months, and this creek Island is being improved and developed rapidly and is a really nice place right now and going to be better

Now these are mostly just conspiracies, but this is most likely what happened: - Saudi Arabia began work on Jeddah Tower and boasted on beating the Burj Khalifa's record. Dubai didn't stand back, and proposed an even taller "tower". - 2017-19 Saudi Arabian purge: many wealthy people are arrested. This includes investors for Jeddah Tower. So, work on Jeddah Tower ceases. - Dubai has all the money to go on with it, however since the Jeddah Tower stopped, there is no more competition. So Creek Tower also ceases. - HOWEVER one of the MAIN reasons was that if you look at the international standard for a "skyscraper", there should be a minimum of around 50 floors or so. This requirement was not met by the Creek Tower, and it did not have enough livable floors. Hence, it would be considered a "tower" or "structure", but would not be considered the Tallest Building or Tallest Skyscraper. Hence they had to put a full stop to the entire project, since it would not benefit them in any way. - The above point fully explains the reason for the redesign. - Since Jeddah Tower work just restarted, EMAAR too wants to restart. It literally didn't bother you how both towers ceased construction and restarted at the same time?

I think it was cancelled for 2 reasons: (1) structure: a similar broadcast mast in Poland (tallest structure in the world at one point) was stabilized by cables + actually collapsed from the wind. (a sink-hole under one of those cables could bring that thing down.) (2) financial: not enough habitable space to turn a profit.

It's an amazing project. Is it possible to build floors that will rotate 360 degrees around their own axis under the influence of environmental winds when a certain height is reached? Thus, it allows you to see the surroundings 24 hours a day, 360 degrees, from this magnificent structure, and also produces the electrical energy it needs from the wind. My personal opinion of the design is that it looks like 2 different projects on top of each other, the first part, the circular slab then the taper part, if possible to create a smooth transition between these two parts will give a more cohesive look.

You mean workers from poor countries who transform the lives of their families back home? Sending countless kids to school, building homes & lifting entire villages? These xpat workers are literally the biggest source of remitances & form of money for money countries. Sure there's been issues but there's been a lot of improvement in recent years & decades, 1 vacancy in such a country will easily have thousands lining up for it. I say this as someone who has travelled throughout the world, visited such labour camps where they live & also the villages such people come from. Don't be a bigot, A European worker could look at the average American worker & say the same thing re their lack of social security, job benefits, paid holiday leave etc. It's all relative.

Building these super tall towers is just another example of something humans shouldn't do just because we can.

Great video. but the Dubai creek tower was never designed as a skyscraper it was designed as an observation tower. and based on the amount of floors it could also not call it itself a skyscraper. Maybe you should mention something about the workers who actually build these towers.
You mean workers from poor countries who transform the lives of their families back home? Sending countless kids to school, building homes & lifting entire villages? These xpat workers are literally the biggest source of remitances & form of money for money countries. Sure there's been issues but there's been a lot of improvement in recent years & decades, 1 vacancy in such a country will easily have thousands lining up for it. I say this as someone who has travelled throughout the world, visited such labour camps where they live & also the villages such people come from. Don't be a bigot, A European worker could look at the average American worker & say the same thing re their lack of social security, job benefits, paid holiday leave etc. It's all relative.
