These cases I have listed, are from human rights organizations reports, Amnesty International, and various news stations. In one case, a young woman was brought back home after a stay in the hospital. Her parents managed to collect money, so that they could take her home. It was covered by various media. The parents also sent out a message of warning to all, who might be watching:" Do not seek a job in Dubai..."

Are you one of those people. Why would you defend their extravagance. It's important to enjoy the fruits of your labour with some surplus for whatever, but these people aren't worth being envious over, respect their individual talent, though that's subjective. Some of these people are narcissistic materialists who only have their needs to fulfill. I'd watch my back around these people. I love UAE, I love Dubai. You only live once and there is no place on earth where you get reminded of that in every moment. Its not a crime to enjoy life and make something out of your country. I absolutely love the luxury you can experience there, it makes your holiday to something special. As a woman I feel 100% safe there. No drunk people, no crimes, no people acting up...its just very peaceful, respectful and it makes you feel like you are in another world. Its a perfect holiday destination in my opinion.
