Tim and Scotty just play off each other so well. Not even just the harmonizing and synchronization, there’s a fantastic moment near the end of the song where they’re retreading the main melody, playing a harmonized part. They reach a point where Tim is Whammy’ing the “normal” way; and Scotty is doing a reverse whammy on the same beat. It’s unreal how such a simple thing can create this amazing kind of friction and tension between the different guitar tracks.
Nath wearing a Don Broco hoody, man's come so far I think the secret to Polyphia, and Plini also, is that they're both aware of the inherent flaws of a lot of instrumental music. In Plini's case, he never shows off for the sake of showing off and he has such a sense of melody to everything he does that that it pulls you in. In Polyphia's case, it's that they're essentially writing prog rock as if it were EDM
I’d say more hip hop than EDM. Everything down to the aesthetic and the drummer hi-hat hits are very trap rap influenced. Tim is even featured on a song from rapper Yung Bans bringing that hip hop connection full circle.
I feel their music video anesthetics are one of the main reasons I love checking out their stuff in addition to the awesome compositional work and technique. Would be more likely to re watch the videos than just listen to it on spotify for sure, it's part of the experience!
Absolutely insane! And I agree, Tim is absolutely stunning!! Also as a Brit I loved the British accent, but it sounds foreign to me 😂 US and Aussie accents sound “normal” to me 😂🔥🖤
Saw Wolf and Bear, Veil of Maya, Polyphia, Eidola, and Dance Gavin Dance all in one day when they toured together and holy shit the amount of musicianship in that 5 hour frame was ridiculous
I'm gonna say something that I expected Johnny to stay, and I'm kinda shocked he didn't but, I describe Polyphias sound as Sex Rock, it's just bloody sexy, it's just so funky and smooth (unlike myself) it's just sexy, also, loving the British accent as always, much love guys, these Polyphia boys are just ridiculous
I'm so glad somebody said this lol I always thought some songs absolutely had this seductive tone. Prime example of when I realized this was Tim's Blood Moon song. I thought it was weird to think guitar alone could sound "hot" but polyphia definitely nails it
Polyphia are just too incredible at what they do, enough said. 😂 Also hope you guys check out the recent Palaye Royale track/video "Fever Dream" It's a movie boys🌹
A new song that I would love to see your take on is Porter Robinson's new song for a league of legends thing. It's not rock but It's still really beautiful
I don't know if this is 'verbose', per se, but I think about Polyphia this way ... Most artists write a song specifically with someone in mind using words to intrinsically communicate their story. I feel like Polyphia are writing music that transcends all barriers. Language, race, and culture are irrelevant to the humanity of the emotional response. This music allows each individual who hears it the freedom to evoke a story that is uniquely personal and yet undeniably universal. THAT IS POWERFUL STUFF. This is the kind of thing we need to raise the consciousness of all humanity. Just thinking on paper here ... 💖💖💖
I think my favourite by these guys remains 'Euphoria', because it's much more groove and melody than pure technical like some of there's, but damn it's all impressive!
I would absolutely love to see you react to Halsey! I know you guys watched H and MGK’s forget me too video and liked her voice a lot. Her song with yungblud and Travis barker is called 11 minutes and it’s a fantastic video, and her song Nightmare is definitely one to check out if you’re interested!🤗❤️
incredible song and talent!! i've been drumming for 10 years and their drummer has inspired me to become a cameraman 😂 absolutely flawless!!

Some people are so annoyingly polyphiantastically talented
This might be the best song ever written. Absolute insanity.
These people are ridiculous! Their talent is absolutely astounding!
Shout out to that one solo'ed hihat!

Astonishing!
I need a drumkit in the style of that guitar 😱
Tim's part sounds like an Ariana Grande vocal track sometimes
lmao Johnny, we need a Tim Henson support group
You should check out Tim's unplugged version too.
COYG!
That was fantastic
A band that tours with them is also insane
Check out Unprocessed
Yessss Unprocessed are right behind Polyphia as my favorite band right now. What they've been doing the last couple years is awesome.
A new song that I would love to see your take on is Porter Robinson's new song for a league of legends thing. It's not rock but It's still really beautiful
Everything Goes On*
Vibecore 🖤
Unrelated to the music but what is that color for your nails Nath? Purple is my favorite color and I neeeeeed that.

They play it just as tight on a live stage. Absolutely ridiculous musicians
You guys should react to xdinary heroes new comeback “test me”!
Yes please!!
Geez, that robot camera though... cool, but also really distracting for me.
