Tony I thought you got another new Rolex today. I forgot you never shown your Datejust in an unboxing episode till today. Congrats again! I find it bit strange the IX is replaced with lumed stick marker. Then looked in my Rolex book 62803 is the same.🤔
I may have mentioned in your first video that I own the 41 Wimbledon, with smooth bezel on Oyster. Not sure if you have the need to wear a suit, but it absolutely rocks with a suit or jacket. Owned mine for three years now, purchased new from my AD.

I got a Wimbledon 41 two tone around 4th of July last year I had purchased a Lady Dayjust 28 the prior year from them I went to get an appraisal for another Datejust that I had purchased while on vacation in Cancun right before COVID and was taking a look at some of the display model they had and I told my authorized dealer this Wimbledon 36 says Rolex I didn’t even ask for it and a few months later she said she had a Wimbledon 41 and if I wanted to come take a look at it. If you want to buy several different models and other brands and jewelry build a relationship with your local Rolex authorized dealer and be loyal to them if you just want the Wimbledon and nothing else I would probably buy it in the secondary market! GOOD LUCK!!🍀👍
I'm trying to decide between 36mm DJ silver dial and blue dial. Smooth bezel on jubilee. The new DJ hour markers (not referring to the Romans of course) are fairly thick with quite a bit of lume, and I think it's making the new silver dial look a little funny, versus older models. I don't know if you have by chance noticed this on the new Datejusts?

Hey Tony, I really enjoy your videos and watch passion. You are honest and sincere which seems to be rare in watch RUclipsrs. Congrats on the Wimbledon, It's probably the best Datejust configuration available these days. It has been on and off my radar for the past few years, but has not yet landed on the wrist. I also have a very good relationship with one of my AD's and have acquired a few Rolex from them. To the point of take one of the Wimbledon unboxing last year I was scheduled for another knee surgery and my SA was aware. The SA new I never got the Coral Red or Yellow OP 41mm from them before they were discontinued and that I was still waiting on the Green OP 41. I got a call from my SA a couple days before my scheduled surgery. I was told one of the watches on my wish list was available if I could come in that day or the next. I said I would be there in an hour and a half. I was told that as fine and per my request they would not tell me which watch it was until I got there. They brought out the watch on a tray under a Rolex cloth. When the cloth was pulled back, I was staring at the Green OP 41mm. Yes, yes, yes! As they took off the tags and stickers, I noticed the "Display Only" tag. I was shocked, I had been trying on and admiring this very same watch for well over a year. As I pointed to the tag, I was told that a lengthy debate had occurred in the store between management and SA's and it as decided I was the right fit for the watch. Unlike a popular RUclipsr, I was not able to keep the "Display Only" tag. Just one of my experiences that I wish to share to those who might think it doesn't happen.

Don't know if it's true, but it makes sense to me. And I virtually never use the EasyLink on my '06 116200, the watch just always seems to fit absolutely perfectly, all the time. Mine has been a consistent +4 seconds a day for the past 11 years.
Hey man, I definitely can say the baton marker does not represent a tennis net. Rolex don’t come up with the nicknames of their watches, so it’s just a DJ 36 etc. It was basically just the design of the watch. Glad your watch is keeping great time! 😊🤙🤙
I have both from two different ADs. I can say that legibility-wise, the Mìnt Green wins, but versatility-wise, the Wimbledon wins. Green is a bit harder to wear when most men, including myself, wear mostly black and blue.
36 mm is the right size and that is one of their more interesting dials. May I recommend a book called "Vintage Rolex"by David Silver? It's absolutely amazing the number and variety of dials that Rolex has made over its history. The book is worth the money.
Question for you, do you keep all your original packaging, receipts etc? Does it start to take up a lot of space after a while? Also have you ever dropped a rolex from table height or banged it walking through a door? Just wonder how careful you have to be with that expensive of a watch. I dont have any Rolex but would like to one day :)

I had the DJ in silver. It wasn’t that legible to read. But, for the most part I think it looked good.
