your commitment to all of these is seriously commendable. it seems so easy to just do a little bit of stretching every day, yet i also know how hard it is to keep it going (for me at least). so good to see you actually making great progress by sticking to it! well done!!
I really love the structured and analytical way of approaching these movements and exercises. Also, you being honest and explaining your weaknesses and strengths is refreshing to hear. I also thought the pancake was a move not made for me, but because I can relate to you, I now know it's worth trying.
Just bought this program last week during Black Friday. So far I am on Day 4, long way to go. Thanks for sharing your progress, it looked like your baby was excited for you completing the pancake and great stuff to get extra support from Alex.
I really like this video. I have been working on this skill for the past month to improve my flexibility for taekwondo. So far I can get my legs out to about 140 degrees. This video has inspired me to keep on going because of a formal average guy can do it, so can I!
After years of smashing out fast rows, swims, or rows with little training and zero warm ups, my body had a meltdown and I slipped a disc last Summer. I've slowly improved my mobility since then, and finally got to the point this week that Pancake would be my end of year goal. So I love how timely this is!
I love that you never quit and give it your all! I've been following you on your other journeys and today I've finally subscribed because I, too, want to nail the pancake! Thanks for continuously inspiring us in your never ending quest for new challenges. You rock!!!
i especially like that you don't go for the viral title and give a more realistic video for the average person. really motivates more to know things take time:)
i love your honesty and that it takes you so long to achieve your goals. just like normal people. and i also love calimove and his strong german accent (i'm also german)
I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Lots of great info crammed into it. Thank you for taking the time to make it. Congratulations on your success. Baby was stoked too! :) Subscribed ... can't wait for your next adventure...
Good job! Your honest approach is commendable. I'm currently experimenting with a contract/relax method, where you stretch, then contract for 5 seconds and relax into a deeper stretch for 5 seconds, then repeat. You contract the muscles you are stretching to teach your brain it's okay to relax them even more afterwards. I'm making better progress now with this than with just static and dynamic stretching, and it's easy enough to incorporate into CaliMove's mobility programs, or any other. 5 sets of 5 seconds, 3 to 4 times a week.
i love how honest your videos and channel is. always look forward to a new video because i know you take pride in your hard work and dedication to nailing technique
I'm so excited! This is exactly what I've been working on and I started out even less flexible than you. Now I understand what to do! I love your videos =) Thank you!
i love these videos where you learn a skill. i started watching your videos 2 years ago keep it up Also, i like it more when you take longer to accomplish these skills.
Dude, you are very impressive... Most exercise videos i watch i usually just feel i am not strong enough, or not training enough... But when I look at yours, i think I am not smart enough or dedicated enough... The amount of work you put on analysing everything, taking vidéos.. and working like 700 days on your handstand preparing that video is so impressive.. do you also have a full time job? That's impossible for me to just contemplate putting that kind of hours. I need to quit my job 😅
When someone admits straight up that their method isn't entirely backed by science the honesty immediately makes me trust them more. Ain't no way chiropractors would ever do that
I find it 😂 you were waiting for your baby to give you a high-five (even if it was just a second. At 7:48). Ok, geek! You’ve inspired me. @calisthenicmovement should thank you for another sale 😉
I'm curious, how precisely did you stick to his training program (either the course of his personalized one) vs mostly practicing just the pancake fold itself?
i tried the pancake fold and realized that i struggled to even keep my back straight up, it was trying to go backwards XD I'm going to keep trying and see if I make any progress
I want to learn how to pancake fold! Is that what was taught in the mobility 2.0 program? Or did you have to pay extra to get a personalized program for the pancake fold?
Thanks for the great video! Just curious though, do you experience any hip pain or discomfort while you were pushing through the days? If I do have something going on there I should probably stop and focus on fixing my joint first, right?
I think the correct "feeling" on the hips should be "sore" not "pain" when you train the pancake. If you are feeling pain, I think you should stop and try to fix it first.
Congratulations on getting your pancake in just under four months. I've been doing it for ten years and its rubbish. Makes me feel so incompetent. Engaging muscles opposite from muscles you want to stretch is my favourite stretch. Its like PNF but in the opposite direction. I wish I learned the technique you just learned ten years ago. I am outraged wasted away years of my life doing it incorrectly and spent many years stuck in a stupid plateau.
I honestly don't think every bodytype is suitable for such feats of flexibility. I am built like an Ethiopian distance runner with short torso and friggin ladder legs, I can't even start to lean forward in a straddle sitting position like that.
The cuddle with the baby was everything! I got a rush of oxytocin for you. Great work on the pancake, I am learning it right now and have got stuck so you have encouraged me to continue. I will also sign up to the mobility class with CaliMove 💪
Congrats for nailing the pancake! It was a pleasure to work with you. 👍
I really appreciate the opportunity for working together! I don't think I would've achieved the pancake fold that fast without working with you!
I was not aware you released a 2.0. The 1.0 was 🔥🔥

Love the growing pancake fold gains, and the impressive baby growth gains in the corner. Kid's learning persistence and dedication from his Dad.
I dont believe this dude knows what stiff means if he thinks that is stiff.

You got this, man!
Your integrity is admirable. Great video as always!
Definitely love the channel
Shows realistic training and No B's.
Keep up the great work

You started very flexible compared to many so it wasn't a big change but nice one.
I'm so excited! This is exactly what I've been working on and I started out even less flexible than you. Now I understand what to do! I love your videos =) Thank you!
I am sure you will learn it eventually as long as you train it consistently!

I really like your videos, keep going and at some point you will do the planche :D

You "listened" to him explaining the correct form and still got everything wrong😂
Very well done. And by the way, CalisthenicMovement are exceptional in their training videos. Great to see that progress!
The blue shirt guy does not joke a lot. He is serious about his stuff.
He is german, why would he waste time joking?
I love to see climbers training flexibility too! There are so many "party tricks" out there with strength but it's better with mobility too!
Well done. Thank you for sharing the journey.
he trying to high five the baby
thank for letting me know that you can indeed train flexibility, i always thought i was just born with stiff hamstrings
Ell Eggs is the best. So much knowledge!
Much respect! Thanks for sharing
Still can’t do pancake but mega useful to see how to improve ☝️💪
The angle of your legs before and after is just as impressive, any kore you'd be hitting the splits
Any challenges along the way? Like inner knee pain or hip pinch?
I find it 😂 you were waiting for your baby to give you a high-five (even if it was just a second. At 7:48).
Ok, geek! You’ve inspired me. @calisthenicmovement should thank you for another sale 😉
getting the head down on day 4 is already super good. Im quite flexible for gym bro standards and i have room for one fist left between head and floor
Hopefully in few months, i am going to purchase matt Smith flexibility and mobility modules, expense but worth it
I wish I could help this video go viral, just because of the reaction with your kid.
I always appreciate your honesty
I'm curious, how precisely did you stick to his training program (either the course of his personalized one) vs mostly practicing just the pancake fold itself?
Need more planche progression videos now. =)
FANTASTIC VIDEO ONCE AGAIN
Did you or the baby make poopie sounds lololol
You're an everyman legend!!!!
Good job 😊
hope that there's a free version for the humble one's. i will try any way, one day we can get there
Omg. Your day 1 pancake fold is my goal for the pancake hold.
Your Day 1 position is my current goal. I'm beyond redemption. I can split my legs on the floor in just about a pizza slice angle. Very sad.
I would not call you a stiff since the position you started off I'm only dreaming to get there lol. But good progress btw ! :)
The realest out there
So how many sets per day for how much seconds? And how much resting time between????
Did you train for splits in the mean time? Because your angle improved crazily well!
i tried the pancake fold and realized that i struggled to even keep my back straight up, it was trying to go backwards XD I'm going to keep trying and see if I make any progress
Atleast you can still do the bent arm press which means you can still go up 100% of the time
Could you share tips for me to start learning the pancake fold too... is it just holding that position?
Well done! That was a helpful video
Wow well done!! I have to work on this for taekwondo. (And general health)
That is so inspiring
I want to learn how to pancake fold!
Is that what was taught in the mobility 2.0 program?
Or did you have to pay extra to get a personalized program for the pancake fold?
Like and comment for you being an honest fitness youtuber :D and for your dedication.
My man, you did not start "stiff" at all. 😛
Now the middle split.
Nice work. Did you feel that the added flexibility made you a better climber?
The older you get the harder to improve your flexibility.
So the next video is going to be "Straight Arm Press Handstand in 2 days", right?
So wait, you were given the mobility 2.0 and got the pancake.
So you saying the old mobility 1.0 is worthless?
Umm, so what exercises did you do exactly to achieve the pancake?
Would the Geek Climber be inclined to create his own programs for stiff guys like us?
Didn't even realize this was possible.
Good job….
Your baby is soo cute
Bro speaks like a pancake
Epic crossover
his first tip was to keep back straight and yet you reached the skill by training it with a bend back or am i missunderstanding something ?
Video indea one arm elbow lever
omg Alex is probably Ra's al Ghul... :o
In the video the course price is $89 but when I go to website it's $110, is there any reason that this is happening?
Thanks for the great video! Just curious though, do you experience any hip pain or discomfort while you were pushing through the days? If I do have something going on there I should probably stop and focus on fixing my joint first, right?
I think the correct "feeling" on the hips should be "sore" not "pain" when you train the pancake. If you are feeling pain, I think you should stop and try to fix it first.
One question. Do you wear flip flops 365 day a year? Cause you have the same white stripe for 107 days on your foot.
I've recently archived handstand
Congrats man!
So he 🚂 and 🚂 and 🚂

Your day 1 is my day -54
Im almost 50, is it possible to do pancake fold?
Sir
m88 youve done so many high level skills now you must be climbing v12
You might be right if I didn't get injured from climbing so many times...
@@GeekClimber I Wonder if there is any type of training you can do that has been proven to help reduce the chance of injury
Front Lever???
Hello
You say „stiff“, but seeing your forward fold of day 1 I can tell you, you have no idea what stiffness actually is.
hi
I honestly don't think every bodytype is suitable for such feats of flexibility. I am built like an Ethiopian distance runner with short torso and friggin ladder legs, I can't even start to lean forward in a straddle sitting position like that.
👍👍👍👏👏👏👏🌷🌷🌷🌷🙌🙌🙌
Geek, I've been considering buying mobility 2.0 for a while. Apart from the pancake, we also work to get the bridge and the split
The cuddle with the baby was everything! I got a rush of oxytocin for you. Great work on the pancake, I am learning it right now and have got stuck so you have encouraged me to continue. I will also sign up to the mobility class with CaliMove 💪
