Other than those of us old enough to remember names like Mann, Manley and Mosley, and numbers like 44 and 7, NO ONE cares lol We need some NEW heroes.
" No direction, and a lack of hope ". That's exactly how I feel about the Redskins now , and yet , I keep giving them attention when they CLEARLY don't deserve it. I live in Maryland, all I see is cowboy fans ,I rarely see Redskins colors anymore,hell , I work with a couple cowboy fans and they give me hell all the time. When I first watched the team back in 2010, I was amazed by wherever I go , I see an entire community wearing the burgundy and Gold, I wanted to be a part of that, so I bought a Brian Orakpo Jersey, researched the Redskins history, and rep the team. The years leading up the Rg3 / Kirk cousins, I was a very idealistic fan , when we won those two division titles in a four year span, I thought, man, we on our way.
Then Kirk left, Pierre and DeSean left , McCloughan, alfred, etc, I didn't realize it at the time, but my confidence in the team was evaporating.
Then came this past weekend, after getting blasted by the Patriots, a team I wish the Redskins could be, Jay's firing, and Bruce's incompetence, my faith in the team has been completely shattered.
It sucks seeing the eagles winning a super bowl, it sucks having the cowboys routinely beat us every year, and hearing them gloat, its sucks how the players on the roster will have their talents wasted on a rotting franchise that is stuck living in the past. Its sucks that the front office has no self awareness of their own team, we cant expect this team to improve until Bruce is gone , Snyder is what, 50 something now?? Does he not see or care what has become of his " beloved team? "
Well, I guess it's a good thing I have interests outside of football , perhaps it's time to shift my focus on those interests, and if I want my football fix, I'll watch the other 31 teams or play madden.
Despite all the shit surrounding the team, I still hold hope for a better tomorrow, I believe that no matter how bad things get, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. I'll still pay attention to the skins, but I wont actively support them until Bruce is gone, and they develop a true winning culture. Thats my act of protest against the Redskins, I'm still a fan , but they dont deserve my time for the time being

I've heard statement in articles of players saying when they sign with the Redskins they don't come to win, they come to get paid. Bruce needs to go fire him now!
I was born into a family of die-hard Redskin fans early in the George Allen era....I witnessed the Super bowl titles in 82, 87, and 91...I saw the failures of Ritchie Pettibon and Norv Turner. And I've seen the incompetent and dreadful ownership of Daniel Snyder....I'm very doubtful that we will relieve the glory years of the 1980s and early 90s ever again...unless Snyder either passes on or sells the team.
It will come again. Give it maybe1 or 2 seasons. Josh normal is Sleeping. Trades must be made Bruce is a dummy

I think you said almost everything I am thinking about the Skins right now. With each new disastrous season and each new act of rampant buffoonery from Dan Snyder I always think "This is it! This the maximum degree of jadedness I can possibly achieve!" But then the next folly comes along and new layers of cynicism and apathy are somehow unveiled. But now, once again, I think I have finally fully accepted that the Redskins will be shit until either A: Dan Snyder sells the team or dies or B: Bruce Allen is fired or dies. I don't blame Jay Gruden for any of this. I don't blame Mike for any of it. I don't even blame Jim Zorn for any of it. None of them, not even Spurrier. I blame all of it on Dan Snyder and his Procession of Flunkies.
And this godforsaken press conference by Bruce Allen just took the cake for me. The all time fucking cake! Non-answers, political flim-flam, lawyer speak and zero accountability. It "we" when talking about his failures, and "them" the rest of the time. Pretty sure I speak for a lot of Skins fans when I say that it is Bruce Allen's losing ass we want to address here, not "mistakes on game day". Just fuck him. And fuck the Skins. Sell or quit. Not coming back before at least Allen is gone this time. Never again!
Only thing I disagree about was your take on RGIII and Cousins. Kikr is slightly above average as a starting QB. But he is also never hurt, and you can win big with him IF you build a good team around him. Like Dak Prescott or Teddy Bridgewater. If it hadn't been for his one MVP season Matt Ryan would be the best comp for Cousins. And that's pretty OK for the QB position. Sign the guy and let's try to improve other areas of the team! But no, that would make too much sense.
Meanwhile RGIII was superb for half a season in a college offense than the Shanahans had to Fankenstein together in the bye week, because the guy was unable to play any other way. It worked for a short while because it caught teams by surprise, but it had very little to do with RGIII. And then he got injured. Over and over and over again. And when he on rare occasions was available he got worse every time you saw him. So again: i do not blame Jay for benching Robert, but rather management for wildly overdrafting him and him for not being able to keep his head out of the clouds. Do you not remember how delusional he was back in 2013? Blaming everyone else while comparing himself to Rodgers and Brady, etc? He would basically waltz around Redskins Park with a posse, as if he was actually Michael Jackson. According to Cooley he would even confront employees who didn't grovel and fawn sufficiently and ask them passive-aggressive questions like "do you like your job here at the Redskins?" with references to "his friend Dan". The entire RGIII era was a farce from start to finish. He was uncoachable know-it-all who ran a very competent coaching staff out the door when they were his best chance to succeed in the league. He is why Jay became the head coach at all. The day he was cut is one of the few times I have felt relief of any sort when it comes to the Skins since Snyder stole the team from us.
Being embarrassed on a daily basis by Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen is more than bad enough. I do not need a third clown at the QB position too.
I said in my postgame video that I wish I had Bruce Allen's job. Not to make roster moves or do business deals, but just to do such a crappy job and not only keep your job, but have your power expanded and make millions in the process. Good culture? HA!
That empty-suit has the best gig in any job market...works for the same place his old man did and doesn't get fired because of said name. That's the life...winning off the field and alienating a once-proud fanbase one statement at a time.

I only have a chance every 8 years to watch them play. And the time I have the chance to see them and the team is hot garbage. I'm still going, even though a guy was caught overpricing the fans.
I once brought my skins jerseys to a Vegas trip. Flying from Florida to Dallas, wore my Portis jerseys and got no flak. Was in Vegas and walking across the street to a gas station to buy cheap drinks wearing my Santana Moss and guys walking by were like "this guy was wearing a old school Santana Moss" I was like "yeah boi" but when we went to the stratosphere's candy shop the Security guard threatened to throw me out. Brah.
Whats good love the channel, love Redskin Radio segment. I always listen while writing papers for school. A lot is happening I do not know what to make of all this. I believe upper management is not the problem. Yes i understand that BA and DS are the heads but there not to blame. The truth is that effort, discipline, and execution has everything to do with the Redskins problems. JG is not a head coach, he is at best an OC. There were many games in the past were the incompetence was at 10, now I'm no HC but damn (pardon my language), this dudes lack of preparation and half time adjustments, were horrible. I have seen his team go up at halftime and come out flat, with several three and outs to start the half. With no sense of urgency to score again, no sense of defensive schemes, just a poor effort all around. Even when we had AS, we would let teams get back into the game by playing conservative in the second half. The whole thing about this cat only winning 1 game since AS went down is pitiful to say the lease. I have been a fan for 25 plus years now and these last ten games have me up in arms, because the talent is there. I just hope our new HC wants to win, and holds himself and the players countable. Seasons like this one and the last 20 years are hard like you said, but it is only going to make the SB coming to us so much sweeter. As Always HTTR, a Skins fan for life from Texas.

He just makes his self look like more of a dumbass..... Gruden getting fired is a good start but there is several that should've went out the door with him..... Plus the opposition taking over our stadium.... you know damn well that wouldn't have happened at RFK back in the day.... HTTR!!!!!

Making a 5-hour one-way trip (10-hour round trip for me total) after losing a game so I can work the next day is not fun in any lifetime. Especially not when you do it over and over...it's not like I'm talking about a one-time deal here. And yes, I exaggerated a bit in the midst of being frustrated, it's more like three states and a piece of DC but does it really matter?
