Do you have a video on the OBD2 port setup? That’s pretty slick the way it’s routed to the bay. Great work bro 💪🏽
Still can’t believe you did that swap so quickly, would probably take me 6 months, learning a lot so I appreciate it!
Hobo freight has a box of body shims pretty cheap
I ordered a whole hardware kit for the front end that comes with everything needed to bolt the fenders on
Awesome man! You’re doing it better than most then.
Yes I’m in Houston area and it’s pretty cool
How much does a swap like that cost from start to finish?
My bad commented before you found the problem
Getting a little closer 👍👍
You might be able to get ujoint with 2 diferent size end caps I did that a while back for a bel air
That’s awesome your letting your wife keep it
I mean, technically its hers as she bought the car and she's bought 99% of the parts used on it lol
Are you sure those caps don't have the c clips that hold the joint caps centered in the yoke?
Also someone could have changed that yoke out for a 1350 u joint. I would measure the yoke to confirm which it is.
No. Those u joints and pinions are specific to using those clips that hold the u joint cap in place
@@krustyclassicsgarage i hasn't finished the video when I commented.
Sounds great
fun series man. you crushing it.
You can get a 1310/1330 u joint if that is what you mean about a conversion u joint. You might even be able to find it a local 4wd shop.
Yes and no. It needs to be a u joint that uses the old school c clips for 2 caps and newer style clips that hold the u joint into the driveshaft. I'll explain it in the next video when I have the conversion u joint I ordered
Your shaft looks good man. Like the fact it’s a big white shaft for sure. Tired of seeing those big black shafts.
That's what she said 😛
Haha I was fishing for that comment!
Watch out for them Black Trouser Snakes too 🐍
You have the wrong u- joint. You can get one that has the retaining clips on the inside at the bottom of the cap. Just a suggestion from an old head.
The u joint came with the driveshaft. I ordered a conversion u joint that had the clip style caps on one side and the newer on the other, but I also re ordered a pinion yoke that I know will resolve the whole issue.
