Getting so close to 10k subscribers. IDK about the other 9959 people, but I appreciate what you do and that you don't over edit your videos so that we see everything...mistakes and all. Thanks Anthony

I appreciate it. I need to record more of me doing the work but space is so limited on this phone so I just try to keep it somewhat short and sweet and to the point. Whenever I get the next Samsung galaxy I should be able to record longer videos

Sweet it’s fixed I hate the hood I think those looked the best with the ram air hood I think it was that one it had the v shape with the center open and the car would look great with the black exterior and red and orange decals

I'm putting a 5.3 in a 93 gmc with a 4L60 should I use a transmission cooler. I heard they run hot. And I plan on a turbo or supercharger

Always run an external transmission cooler with an automatic transmission

Prolly a 2:56 rear gear in that beast.

Gear ratios for the 4l60e are the same regardless of body.
Didn't you find the build sheet? It will tell you the gear ratio.
The ecm shifts trans by mph if it has the wrong gear ratio the trans can act weird.

I only have a sliver of the build sheet and it only shows some of the options it came with. I'm willing to bet it's a 3.08 rear given it came with a 4bbl v8 from the factory but I'll either pop the cover and look or just jack it up and count rotations. The speed is exactly 10mph off on my cuda when driving but it has 0 issues shifting. My thought is maybe the torque converter I put in this transmission is toast. I just had it laying around and knew nothing about it. It just looked better on the inside than the converter that came with the transmission originally.

@@krustyclassicsgarage There's an axle code stamped on the front of the passenger side axle tube, probably caked under dirt, but it's there. Also, that front fender...first, these cars are a pain in the ass to body-align because of shitty 1970's workmanship. That said, rule of thumb is to work from back to front, bottom to top, starting with the door/rear quarter and door/rocker gaps. Get those right first. Gaps ain't gonna be consistent, but you can make it where the door doesn't contact the front fender once the door is aligned right. And take the hood off to align the fender. Also..so much easier with another person, but certainly doable solo. Keep on truckin' man. Waitin' on the next vid!
