Just an FYI that is a factory floor shift car, the SS used back drive linkage to rotate the column, NS / reverse light switch stayed on the column. Also that black plastic piece of the wire is a splice cover, the fusable link is a sacrificial wire. Good luck with the swap.

Quick question, for any LS is a dOD delete necessary if you’re just dropping in unopened engine? Or is it best to dod delete all of them

Dumb question. So the wire that you tie into the harness that is hot on cranking and running. Does that have to be full 12v or if my car has a resistor wire that does this (I want to say it was 7v or 8v) would that work? Worst case, I could use that to trigger a relay to get the full 12v I would think. Like the others, I feel your pain but like that you put in your "acoustic" moments....

I tried working on my LS Motor in Flip Flops Last night and Busted my Toe 😂😂😂

The harness with the 1 red wire coming from the starter wires (with the two cut off green wires) is for the factory AC. The other end of that harness is near the AC box. 1 green wire went to the idle control solenoid on the side of the carburetor and the other went to the Ac compressor.

if it is not the neutral safety switch I have had a couple of columns do the same thing there is a piece of a aluminum that the rod from the key switch hooks into that could be broken or cracked the bad part of it is the column has to be taken apart to replace it. just a thought

I’m just as retarded as you the one clue about a bad ground was when you ran the wire directly from the negative battery terminal to the fuse box that was a dead give away bad ground but I feel your frustration I been there plenty of times before

make sure the lever on the column is push all the way up

Try turning the column itself, right after the ignition switch that should do it.

That four way plug goes to the ac
