You drive these creatures via midi. If you just hook up a midi footpedal you can easily switch patches. I used a Digitech board which also had a volume pedal. It all worked. Better yet, load your band's set list into a midi controller and automatically set the Rocktron patch (and all other midi devices) by song. This is a quality built unit. Not quite as nice as the Blackface original versions but solid.
You can connect your voodu valve to your sound card or audio interface with voodu's speaker simulation "on". Although Behringer GI-100 has more natural 4x12 cabinet simulation, voodu valve also has excellent spk. simulation..

I mean dont get me wrong,cuz a tube amp is great for reacting and pushing the speakers for that great warm feel, but the lengths you have to go to with a tube amp to spew forth the biting grit like this Chameleon does. I never thought I"d say this about any non tube but Damn" this thing is rock"n!!

Hey dude, have you found a way to be able to switch presets without that little half second latency? I've had my chameleon 2000 for like 10 yrs lol but until recently hadnt really used it much. That's the ONLY thing i dont like about it, when i switch between things like my lead patch (with delay) and rhythm patch dry, it chops off.

rocktron chameleons are awesome. undoubtedly one of the coolest preamps and for the price it cant be beat
