If anyone watching this video thinks gun control is the answer, simply review all the cities and states that have strict gun controls in place. It becomes apparent that it does not work. Now if you teach people, especially young people, personal responsibility and accountability for their actions, that may actually lead to positive changes on every level. I think people are fine with Idaho the way it is. Idaho is going through growing pains. With growth comes more crime and police/interactions. Those wanting more gun control probably are likely out of state and are more comfortable moving to an Idaho that is like the state they came from, just not trashed yet.
We don't need gun control; we need people control. The only people who fear an armed populace are those who would impose tyranny upon the people. To reduce violence one must focus on the underlying causes of violence and work to mitigate those underlying causes. Each police shooting should be honestly investigated for justification. If it's determined that an officer used unreasonable, excessive force, then that officer should be held accountable. Non-lethal weapons and negotiation should be used by officers when possible.
