My work process. First, I took a white cloth that I had. I don't know what type exactly. It was a little stretchy. Then, I measured with a disappearing marker on it to help with the stitching and embroidery. Marker disappears, so I used pins to mark where the bending will be.
I saw many videos using watercolor on fabric and then embroidery on top. But with my project, it will not work since I'm doing it with intension to hand wash one day. So if you use watercolors, you will not be able to wash it. I used acrylic paint diluted with water. I painted light and went darker later with each layer. I noticed that when its wet colors look very vibrant, but when it dries, colors look dull and blank.
For embroidery, I used an underwater theme. You can use whatever you like. Stiches also depend on what you like. I just showed a couple of examples.

Actually, it wasn't planned 🤭 I measured with reserve. Not to be too tight and maybe for other notebooks to fit. When I was done, I noticed that there was too much space and thought I could put a pen there 😄 like it was done on purpose 🤫😁
