The first piece you did really spoke to me. It was so beautiful Mon! The other two were lovely too but the first one you did and the colours you painted it in were gorgeous! Thank you for the video. It's so inspiring! God bless you and all those you love. Have a great weekend!
I salute you. The first one was such a very difficult look to accomplish. Your skill and patience really impressed me a lot. I REALLY LOVE all three of these pieces! So beautiful!
Este cuadro es lo masssss!!!!!! Está bellísimo ,estoy en proyecto de hacerlo porq me faccina, lo tengo que hacer y ojalá me salga como este gracias amiga ❤desde Argentina 🇦🇷
The paint looks so much smoother in the reveal (first one) then it did when you were painting it. Did you do something g else to it before revealing? Thank you! Really cool project
These are absolutely lovely thank you for sharing. My concern is with plaster cracking once applied to a flexible canvas. Is there anything that's added to the plaster so that it will not crack after it's dry? Thank you in advance for your reply.
I'm so happy you like my DIYs 🥰 Sometimes my art pieces crack, and sometimes they don't. I think the drying process has to do a lot in this - if it dries too fast, it will crack 😩 Also, try using drywall mesh tape - it helps a lot ☺️
Hi Mon! I tried the textured fabric gilded with gold. I painted it and then realized I did not use the textured paste. It is completely dry with one layer of white acrylic paint. Can I put the texture paste on now and paint another layer of white acrylic? I LOVE your art and your colors are my colors, also. Thank you. Paula
Will any type of acrylic paint work over the dried plaster? I have a dried plaster painting on canvas. It's entirely a white or beige color, and I’m thinking of adding color.
I just discovered you, and am I happy! My granddaughter and I love to do DIY art, plus we're building a new house, and I'm saving up ideas for wall art. Yours are spectacular! I have a question: Does the plaster make the canvas heavy?
I'm so happy you like my channel and my DIYs ☺️💞 The plaster makes the canvases a little bit heavier, but nothing too heavy. It depends on the thickness, but these 3 I did were definitely not heavy.
Thank you so much for this tutorial 🙏🏼 I've never worked with plaster but very curious. Is there any risk of plaster falling off the painting over time? (Apart from the obvious damage like hitting or scraping )
Hi, I'm so glad you like my DIYs 🥰 From what I've experienced so far, plaster can crack overtime, but usually if you mix it properly it should be okay ☺️
Thank you so much! I use plaster of Paris ☺️ However, I've tried working with drywall mud too, and honestly it works as good. Plus drywall mud doesn't dry out as fast, so you have more time to work with it before it hardens
Thank you so much...I’m painting old pots different and am using baking soda like you suggested for texture but I put a lot in and really not much texture am I getting...what about corn meal? Also do I need to sand the pots first? Thanks 💜
@@karenhinkle7992 I usually add 3-5 tablespoons of baking soda. It really takes a lot. Also make sure to let the first coat to dry well, leave it for a few hours, and then add another coat of the paint + baking soda combo. Also, I think you can skip the the sanding. I don't sand my pots before painting them ☺️
That's such a great question 😊 I usually wash them right after, or just add them in a bucket of water. However, if I'm completely honest, I sometimes forget them, and end up throwing them 😅
Woww all these are so amazing, just found your channel and subscribed ❤ I want to ask that is plaster is safe to do and can we sell the artworks made with plaster??? Also I heard that there would be cracks after some time on the artworks made with plaster.. what do u say about this or some tips??
I think plaster is pretty durable. If you are concerned about cracks, you xan try adding drywall mesh tape. You can also test drywall mud or joint compound for better results 🥰
Thank you for the inspiring video! Could you let me know the colour name of the paint for the second art work please? The page you linked doesn't seem to open properly on my computer :(
I'm so sorry the links are not working 😔 I'll fix those right away! I actually used white acrylic paint as a base color (the one that's used for painting walls) and I added acrylic liquid pigments to get the color I like 🥰
I know plaster can be really intimidating, especially if you have never worked with it. However I've honestly never mixed it following the instructions. The safest thing you can do is just add a little bit of water first, and then slowly add small batches of the plaster. Continually mixing and adding a bit more untill you get smooth, almost creamy consistency. I think the rules are 50/50 water to plaster ratio ☺️💕
Hey, to be completely honest, I've never used a premix plaster, so I am not talking from my own experience. But I've seen people using Patching Plaster from DAP and it works great on these types of projects 🥰
Yes, I feel like with plaster, even when you're applying it on a wall, there is a chance of cracking. However, for these projects, there are no cracks 🥰
Thank you so much 🥰 I'm so glad you like my DIYs 💞 Yes, you could apply a sealer, but it works without it as well. I always get acrylic paint for painting walls, one that is water resistant, so it's more durable ☺️
By only mixing water in plaster its not working while beating texture is smooth but once u apply within a second it gets completely dry and of no use ... there is no tym of using anytool or to create any design ... pleasee help me and tell another recepie ... Thanks
THANK YOU A LOT! This is gold content.
Glad you like it 🥰

So amazing so good to see the process. Anyway what colour mix to make those kind a green or Sage green like your art ? Thank you 😊
Thank you! I'm so glad you like it 🥰 I used white paint, and I added green, yellow and brown pigment to achieve the particular shade of green.

this is amazing! any recommendation to avoid cracks if a spackling method is used?
I'm so glad you like it 🥰 Maybe don't let it dry out too fast. Let it dry out in a colder room ☺️

How do you clean your brushes used with plaster? Or do they just harden beyond saving so you end up using a cheap one and sacrificing a brush?
That's such a great question 😊 I usually wash them right after, or just add them in a bucket of water.

I’m going to try her art so I’m going to get some cheap brushes just Incase! 😁

Could you look at Kim Rose art? I’d love to attempt something like hers but I have no clue how to get the stone like 3D effect🤔!!!
Omg 😯😍 I love her art! I will definitely think about ways of how to dupe that 3d stone look.

hi, what is a good premix plaster brand for this in the USA?
Hey, to be completely honest, I've never used a premix plaster, so I am not talking from my own experience. But I've seen people using Patching Plaster from DAP and it works great on these types of projects 🥰
