Wow those tire stick... love the channel new timer here for the capra so so its helping me out as to what can be done and your videos are fun and very informative thanks and keep up the good work.
The Houleigan I’ve got the 90mm ottsix shocks on it now, video up tomorrow. The only thing left to do is 4ws and find a new belly that doesn’t hang up on so much stuff
I bought those KLR's and 3-stage foams as soon as I got the notice they were for sale. I'm not a fan of those foams. I'll be using a 2-stage CI's or tune some single stage one. You're going to get incredibly good using the Dig. I think it's cool a manufacturer added it to a rig. When I start comping way-back-when seemed alot of guys had e'm. I bought a RC4WD tranny that had dig but never used it.
yeah I'm liking the Dig for sure, it gets 4ws this week. As for the foams I'm still not q00% sold on them as I feel they will break in and get great, then get too soft so CI foams will eventually be needed, let me know what you did for foams as I've found getting the right CI foam in the KLR is a bit trickly.
My Capra turns really sharp. So much that the axles bind up and I had to back off the epa to 70% so they don't bind at full lock. Wish I could get more...
duder280z I’m looking at getting more turn on mine with some trimming. On the front axle take out the bearing inside the axle tube at the ujoint. It’s not really needed
They look like they perform really well , and I love the looks of them . You can hear them biting the rocks. And some of my tires I give a little light spray of purple power and let sit for a few minutes and then rinse off. And makes them soft and super sticky.
Ya want them to conform more. Drive them on sun-baked rocks, at mid-day, at 95* or above ambient air temp. I did that to my TRX tires and the foam in the tires permanently 'contracted' from the amount of heat transferred to the foam-'rubber'. The tires were absolutely USELESS for 'side-hilling' thereafter.
@@ExocagedRC After recently peeling off $ for a new set of 4 I've learned to spray my hi-desert 'rock-garden' with cool water from a "garden" hose for a minute or so if doing any "mid-day" crawling.
I'm not personally a fan of those tires or any of the voodoo in general, but that was absolutely awesome. Very obvious improvements in the grip and stability on your rocks. And as u say. As they break in, they'll get better and better. Very interesting :) For my own curiosity, I'd love you to do a back to back with those tires and some axial 1.9 trepador tires. They're my usual go - to tire next to pitbull. Re the belly. Is it the screws catching or the edges of the skid? I wonder if this is the new horizon plastics being a bit grippy on the rocks vs the older axial compound?
I really like his tires, been on them since the OG KLR came out a few years ago. I have his shocks on it now and man that was an awesome improvement. It could be the 90mm length and 70wt oil... LoL. Either way they helped. The axial trepadors I had a while back were horrible. Really bad I tossed them away. I’m not sure what the deal is with the belly but I can’t wait till someone comes out with a good one.
I wanna run run these tires on all my trucks right now I'm running my element like ur ultralight not really sold on the capra it shouldn't hang up so much with portals
Rotational mass. Everything you throttle up or down that rotational mass takes up power, if you are straight crawling then go for it but with scalers where I am we need wheelspeed and stop quick. I like the axle mounted weights the best.
MY THE SCHWARTZ BE WITH YOU SCHWARTZ POWER oh yeah for sure. This thing needs some brass, right now the easiest way would be to buy the weights for these wheels and bolt them in. I’m working with a guy to get us some brass portal covers with the proper clearance for wheels. Also CNC housings, a trans case that will run a 9t pinion and some other stuff. The company is Vitavon, you’ve seen his stuff on my UDR and it’s just great stuff
I can tell this dude really enjoys what he does. Lots of great info for the average crawler hobbiest. 👍
Thanks 👍

Great show 😀 Sometimes it looks like the tires are not correctly mounted on the rim...but it might be the sun 🙂
yeah the beadlocks have a pretty good taper at the outside edge, I find myself checking them quite often but they are fine.
That dig is pretty sweet and those wheels are brilliant. Thanks!
Awesome! You are getting that thing dialed in! Nice Tires, they are very similar to the tread pattern on my atv!

@@ExocagedRC I'll message you a picture Joe.
Kudos! Your best Capra video yet! Love those tires!
Sweeeeeeeeet the capra is catching the superlite pretty quickly. I'll let you set your up then I'll order one and do the same lol
The wheels are just fantastic. I like the ability to change the back spacing easly....I never had KLR tires I thing this is my next purchase...
Whau!
Impressive course, wheels and tires!
Nice video like always!

They look like a very good multi surface/terrain tire. May have to try them out
Yes! Those r the ones! Definitely
I think you found the winning setup! crazy performer!
byknmike rc yes and it gets better tomorrow with the Ottsix shocks
@@ExocagedRC Nice! can't wait to see the end gains on video!
Now that was on a dry surface, wondering what the tires would do on wet, kicked @$$👍👍😃😃🏆🏆
James Swift these M tires do well in the wet stuff. They clean out like a big knarly mud tire does
Nice wheels🤙🏼 better performance. Gotta love that dig.
I am really liking that dig feature.
You mean you don't record every second of your life for us.... lol. Good stuff man.
LoL I gotta keep some kind of privacy.

Thats awesome, may have to put them on my Capra, they seem to work great
STEVO D 313 from what I’m seeing in the Capra groups this is a very popular tire for it.
Gonna do a capra build what 1.9 tires voodoo...hyrax..deep woods? Thanks Joe
gotta get with your local guys to see what works best for your area.
@@ExocagedRC thanks everyone is running the hyrax g 8 compound..I'm gonna do the predator with dual stage foam
Nice hair day bro 💪
lol was it up? I've been meaning to cut the bush back a bit
Very good

Yeah time will tell how these break in and end up being after a while. Probably end up with the CI lil nova foams

@@douglaselliott8298 to cool the rocks? They have to hold so much heat in them though. I'm in florida so it gets hot as heck but its also very humid.
How long before you fit it with 4wheel steering 🤔
Awesome video as always 🍺🍺

I am going to get a set of these for Winter Crawling in Nebraska with Boiled Proline Stock foams.
Ohhh yeah!!! Love it! 💪🔥
now that was awesome!
Do you think 2 stage (proline) or 3 stage foams grip better?
very nice bro
I wanna run run these tires on all my trucks right now I'm running my element like ur ultralight not really sold on the capra it shouldn't hang up so much with portals
Daniel Murphy the portals are the best part of it. The belly looks great but it’s just horrible and hangs up on a lot of stuff
Do you wash your new tires before use?
unless they have visible residue like the hyrax did, I don't wash them.
nice..
What compound for the tires. Gold or red?
Red/Vex
Thank you brother you’re the man. Most informative channel on RUclips. Love it
Ma-t 69 thank you
Why don't you like wheel weights? I am looking to learn.
Rotational mass. Everything you throttle up or down that rotational mass takes up power, if you are straight crawling then go for it but with scalers where I am we need wheelspeed and stop quick. I like the axle mounted weights the best.
Do you weight your front wheels
I don't weight any of my wheels
@@ExocagedRC you should try out some weights in the front tires
