The GameCube was amazing! Plus it has some of the best console ports of its generation, I'm thinking Resident Evil 2 & 3! Sure Dreamcast had VGA, but those games rocked on the GameCube controller!
a buddy was cleaning all his old video game systems out of his parents basement last year. he had moved a few years ago. but left it there. and parents were cleaning out basement and wanted him to come get it all. so he told me to go get whever was down there to have. 30 ps3 games/ gameboy games and a gamecube with 2 games. and i got it all for free. im not very knowledgeable about game cube. but im happy i can go get star wars rouge squadron game and play it. all the videos talking about it and the game footage made wanna play it.
Really digging Darkened Skye, got it new for Christmas and am a big fan of the Drakan/Medievil style. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat has very unique controls which I think are cool. Played Super Mario Strikers with 3 friends and it was one of the best gaming sessions ever!
I dunno, Starfox Adventures is going for $35-40 now, and I wouldn’t pay more than $5 for that mediocre game. People really need to stop fetishizing video games, these prices are absolutely ridiculous.
The Zelda Collection that came with Gamecubes during the holiday season in 2003 is a good get. WWE Day of Reckoning and Day of Reckoning 2 are spiritual successors to the THQ/AKI games (WCW vs nWo World Tour, WCW Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania 2000, WWF No Mercy). Not as good as those games but still very fun.
Thoughts on xmen legends 2? I loved both. Loved playing Magneto in 2. My favorite gamecube title is Mario baseball. So many good times with multi player in both.
hell yeah you mention EXTREME G RACING 3! MY TOP 5 GAME ALL TIME,WOULD LOVE A REBOOT IN HD AND ONLINE, THIS GAME IS WAY BETTER THAN FZRO AND IT HAS WEAPONS!

I ordered an Action Replay, a Gecko memory card, a gameboy player type sd2sp2 that sticks out the side and a 2GB SD and a 32GB SD and I am going to hack this one without the chip just the Action Replay way. Hey did you know that Namco did a Ridge Racer game for Gamecube? I also recommend the Hudson Select Bonk and Adventure Island. I am going to put Legend of the River King 2 on my GB Everdrive for Gameboy Color after I fix it to have Rumble by changing the cartridge type to 1EH and see if it rumbles my gamestop BB111 controller. The Gameboy ROM Analyzer is how I changed it for my V-90 with the firmware update so I know it works.
I lucked up and found a GameCube in a thrift store with a slim ps2 and got both for $10.00. After spending a little on controllers, power supplies and AV cables I am ready to start collecting.

I remember walking into Gamestation as it was called then here in the UK and seen Rogue Squadron playing and Luigi Mansion... went to the cashpoint and bought one half hour later... brilliant console. Use Nintendont on the Wii U to play many GC games even now 🎮

Not really a budget list but my faves are mario strikers, mario baseball, killer 7, breath of fire, baten kaitos, pikmen...like the xmen game...i bought the system for the turn based LoTR game it was cool but not my favorite rpg...but at the time i loved it.
The one Nintendo system I just never got into. That said, a trilogy of Mario games: Mario Kart Double Dash, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Mario Baseball were fantastic. But the best GC game and incredibly underrated?? Wario World!!
I’ve only recently discovered a couple of James Bond games on the cube that are great: Everything or Nothing and Nightfire. Not sure how I missed them before but they are really fun. The GameCube is a special console. Excellent list John.
Great video, John! Some of my favorite, cheaper Gamecube games include Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (which is a solid Zelda clone), Ty the Tasmanian Tiger (which plays similar to Super Mario 64), and Tak and the Power of Juju (which is one of the most hilarious games I've ever played, and is a fun action platformer). Some other good ones include Vexx, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, and Sonic Adventure DX (people give this version a bad rap, but it's really not that bad and is honestly one of the better 3D Sonic games in my opinion).

I'll never understand it when people say singleplayer is a downside to a game, there are some games that just work better as a Singleplayer experience like action adventure games and there are other games that work better as Co-op experience like Beat 'Em Up's

I literally just bought two of these yesterday, wow wish I seen this earlier. Got X-men Legends complete in box for $15 and Rogue Squadron II for $25 My local seller had Tony Hawk 3 for the same price but I passed, don’t know if I should but I’m happy I have TWO NEW GAMES despite being used. Thanks for the tip JH. P.S. Is the old intro coming back, because I really liked that haha. Megadrive art is so cool

No joke found black label double dash and players choice melee for 3 bucks a piece at a thrift store this summer. Both worked so it was a SUPER find.

Burnout, Shrek 2 and The Italian Job are very cheap. Usually first party games are very pricey .
