Quick warning to everyone: don't buy a capture card unless you are sure your PC can actually record the footage well. There are some external cards which work with lower-end PCs but most of them are absurdly expensive. I'm using a 4K 60FPS internal capture card and it runs great but that's because my PC is so beefy it will probably sprout hooves and start grazing on grass some day.
If you are looking to stream using these devices, remember that the auido out jack can be plugged into your mic port on a PC to let you listen in to your pass through footage without any audio delay. If you end up with some sort of weird feedback, a cheap plug and play option exists to clear that noise out for less than $15
For some videos you might want to record longer videos. Ps5 already has the feature of recording with voice. But xbox series x &s doesn't have that option WITH voice... it depends bro
The Atomos was a surprise. I guess, yeah you could do that. Just never saw anyone really cover it for this specific use. It might actually be the best(?) capture card you covered.
@@Spazbo4 im researching more info on it as i type this out and you can definitely use it for gaming! Im shocked! The one time ign actually surprises me
So, if I just want to Livestream stuff on Twitch I can get away with the Elgato or AverMedia devices right ? Like I don't want to put a lot of strain on my PC . Or how do you do a set-up for Twitch Using a single PC ?
The atomos is not a game capture card idk why you’d recommend it to people as one it’s a RAW video recorder for cameras. Sure if you’re balling out buy it it works for sure but it costs like $600
crazy that this video does not touch upon passthrough whatsoever. Guys make sure your external capcard can do 120hz passthrough or else you woné be able to play at 120 fps.
WARNING: If you buy the Atomos Ninja, you will not be able to capture your voice in game chat and/or party chat on the PS5 at all. There’s no way around it. I’ve tried. The only audio the Ninja will be able to pick up is the game audio(which includes game chat and party chat only, EXCLUDING your voice. Your voice will not be considered game chat or party chat audio, because you can not share audio through the Ninja and the PS5 at the same time.
I also just want to know can one of them capture cutscenes, like sure I want some content gameplay footage but I also like to record the cutscenes of the game, because when I first tried to record the game on my PlayStation it didn’t record the cutscenes at all. So what would your suggestion be for these devices
I use the in built PS4 capture device for gameplay recording and then i also stream also from the PS4 itself....and then I use the Streamfactory app for editing videos
elgato hd60s is pretty nice. im hoping to try the plus for the hdr Anyone want to take a gander at my channel? trying out the whole recording thing :P. any help is appreciated.
After the firmware update the PS5 had it stopped working, now you can get it to work just not with HDR anymore hopeful Sony can fix this back. So just go to input on the ninja v and switch the HDMI to 1.4 from 2.0 and it will work
Some people like their own version to edit videos and stream. And some games blocked capturing for some reason, like Rock Band 4 blocked capture video gameplay and Dragon Ball FighterZ blocked story cutsense
Actually using the 4K60S+ I've recorded(and streamed)as old as Atari 2600. I don't know about the other ones featured but I'm guessing you can do the same.
I've recently discovered a 120fps passthrough device called 'EVGA XR1' and it's cheap af. Might replace my ELGATO HD60s with that. Time to cut cost on these big capture cards when the views are low on FB Gaming and Twitch. :(
Can’t wait to stream to a total of 3 viewers, one of them being my alt account

Try $75.00
Agreed.
*I use the Atomos Ninja V! Absolut insane quality...*
How's Ninja V HDR with PS5? As i have Ninja Inferno and HDR is not working.
How come your not verified
It looks like the best option out of all of these.

My ninja v doesn't work with ps5, why? Somebody can help me please?

What's the point of buying an expensive capture card when the new consoles can capture 4K 60 HDR already?
Maybe for content creators so they can like save it into a file onto their computer
@@Thelegendking You can transfer the video files via USB.
@@zeromav2268 right like literally the PS5 can start your RUclips channel if u wanted to
They can only capture up to a certain amount of time so that's why

Gonna grab the 4K60S+. Excited to expand my hobby
I still use my Dazzle capture card since 2007
None of them. We need HDMI 2.1 Capture cards to really have proper capture for these next gen consoles
My question is that are they compatible with previous gen consoles like PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360?
If they support HDMI (which yes) then they should.
Thank you for this! Gonna try the Avermedia and Elgato. 😁😁😁
have you tried Avermedia? if so how is it holding up?
The Atomos was a surprise. I guess, yeah you could do that. Just never saw anyone really cover it for this specific use. It might actually be the best(?) capture card you covered.

I have a Ninja V and the Input lag is pretty bad.
In bypass mode? I haven't seen any lag, tons of other issues but zero lag. Have you updated the firmware to latest? Its a must
Nice, but pricey. Luckily the PS5 does a decent job of recording games. 4K/60fps (up to an hour per video). if done manually.
Are these the devices gamers use to record and upload videos to RUclips?
Yes

There's some $20 no name brand cards on Amazon that people have praised.
Any devices that have 120fps pass through ? Destiny 2 supports 1440p 120fps in its pvp mode and I don’t want to play 60 just for capture.
You can buy a cheap usb dongle capture card for like $40.
Elgato hd60s stopped working 1080p after some tym
1440P is the best resolution and best capture setup at 60 + frames.
USB CAPTURE!!!! IS THE BEST EASIEST TO TRANSPORT TO ANOTHER PC!

So just so I understand, by getting one of these I can stream/record playing games on PS3, the mini systems, and handhelds 🤔??
While it can't stream, the Avermedia Game Capture II allows recording 1080/30 or 720/60 via component since PS3 doesn't allow recording via HDMI.

Which exactly? I couldn't find a single one that supports HDMI 2.1
Do all these options capture game or party chat?

The avermedia thing does both
cant the PS5 record 4k gameplay on its own ssd?
Yes, but you'd have to transfer that footage over to a PC or storage device that can hold all of the footage, especially if it's in 4k
