I wish there was a time machine available just to take me back to watch these guys play in their prime... Still got it guys!! Shame my mum didn't get pregnant earlier than she did 😂
Unfortunately, Brian is not allowed to play with the group anymore, and for some reason or another Al has never wanted to play in the band when Mike is the only other original member.
@@railwaymaster1163 That's because of a disagreement between who owns what and such, The Beach Boys was and always will be The Wilsons with Love and Al Jardine, sadly Dennis and Carl are gone but still is as I said Wilson Love and Jardine. I stand on my comment.

It's a shame that they use so many compressors and ProTools computer effects that it doesn't sound live..I find it hard to watch them do a set when someone else wrote all the music..
Wouldn't it be nice if we were older? Then we wouldn't have to wait so long And wouldn't it be nice to live together In the kind of world where we belong You know it's gonna make it that much better When we can say goodnight and stay together Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up In the morning when the day is new? And after having spent the day together Hold each other close the whole night through Happy times together we've been spending I wish that every kiss was never ending Wouldn't it be nice? You know it seems the more we talk about it It only makes it worse to live without it But let's talk about it Wouldn't it be nice?
We all understand that a group can't sound the same as it did 50 years ago, and we forgive them, BUT: I can't stand it when a group performs "bits and pieces" of their hit songs (when the entire song is only 2 1/2 minutes anyway), in order to cram in a "medley of hits" in a minimum amount of time. Throw in the extra half minute of music for gosh sakes!
They actually do sound almost the same as they did 50 years ago, which is really unusual. Also, how do you know it was their choice to perform a medley, and it wasn't the show's producers pushing them to do it? Try to just enjoy the music, there's really nothing to complain about here
And they were several faces in the audience: Disney's Brenda Strong and her second husband, John. Along with Academy Award winner Dame Helen Mirren, Oscar nominee Dame Charlotte Rampling and Lorraine O'Brien. I'm not kidding, I'm telling you like it is! So check it out for yourself!
seeing ederly people singing the same song as if they were still in the eighties : wouldn't be nice if we could grow up faster or something like that is priceless
Good thing Mike Love has guys around him that can sing because he sure doesn't do much for vocals!! Sounds like the exact music with current voices! Lol
The lyrics are "wouldn't it be nice if we were older". They might want to rethink that wish, it doesn't get much older than this. I guess being even more brittle and wearing diapers might be cool.
As good as Mr. Foskett is, without Brian, Al, Car, and Dennis, this is just the Beach Boys name. Certainly not the group. Shame on Mike, for how he could do his own family.
DrummerBoy If being a REAL! fan means not to question anything the band does then you're right, i am not a REAL! fan. In appreciate the Beach Boys for what they did and still do. But full playback is normal in these kind of shows, you can hear things going on that you don't see happening and the whole performance sounds like it's edited, mixed and mastered in a studio. Live recordings just don't sound this clean and polished. And that's not a bad thing. Almost all bands lip sinc in TV occasionally. Also because it's no hassle for the producton.
Even Emmy Award winner Ellen Barkin was in the audience along the way. In fact she's gonna enjoy the music of the Beach Boys on Bravo's "Years Later" without any complaints at all. She has such a wonderful time on this long running music/variety program from September 23, 1992-present. I'm not kidding myself, I'm being honest with myself. Every step of the way. Check it out and see for yourself!
At that point in time he was mentally unstable. He reunited the band with the original guys to record "That's why God made the Radio", & the tour & album went so incredibly well that everyone - minus Mike - thought they'd be doing another album & tour after that one. However, Mike was already putting tour dates on the books with the "alternate" stand-in Beach Boys, & at the end of the tour said, "It was fun - bye!" to everyone & went back on the road with the pretend band, of which Mike Love is the only original member.
The contracts with the 50th Tour ended after it had been extended by 25 shows. There was no way to continue making money with a show that size because the large-city venues had already been played.
Wouldn’t be nice if Brian and Alan were there
