I love it when 'ordinary' car channels review performance cars. No high horses. No high standards that us normal people/actual buyers are going to have.
In my opinion, Mustang GT's have forever been known as a car that busts out an exhaust note that sounds like the car is going much faster than it really is going. Lots of noise - and a beautiful sound it is - yet little return speed / power wise. It was a rough riding rattlebox that let most drivers feeling empty over the years. BUT FINALLY, the Shelby power plant is a game changer. No doubt about it. It's now a purely refined badass, finely tuned machine that delivers the total goods. THIS is the Mustang that IMHO Mustang lovers have been waiting for - for DECADES! The Shelby GT350 is one hell of a machine.
looks so sexy, this is what the regular GT should have looked like from the get go, this is a proper 6th gen mustang in both sound and design, also it offers handling levels found in the new camaro SS (the R version is faster than a Z/28 as well) so handling there with the new camaro (according to C&D and Motortrend) sexy N/A V8, and real muscle style, looks like a winner.
+justin bouche and the camaro 1LE is coming not to mention the ZL1 is coming which competes with the GT350, so if the 60K gt350 can barely take a camaro ss at 37K thats pretty sad.
***** personally i like the GT350 more than the camaro ss but i like the ZL1 more than the GT350 last gen 302 i loved so much, its like a badass race car from the 60's in its demeanor and the way they sounded / looked. the GT500 was a beast, faster than a hellcat in most applications even if it lacked great handling 662 HP in light weight car is hard to beat.
I agree man, I wish the regular GT would have looked like this. The front end is too high on the GT. They even say the 350 is 2 inches lower in the hood. I am curious how the mid cycle refresh will be for the 'stang...Whether or not they address that. We'll see.
I dailey drove a 2011 gt500 for 6 years not practical at all but fuck it. Now I dailey drive a 2015 gtpremium (obviously both stick). I still have the gt500 as well so I switch between the 2
This is an amazing car. I've seen several on the streets of Vancouver. In person, it's a wide car and the sound is remarkable. Going to miss it when the electric and V4 turbo future arrives.
Jason Davis The GT 350R starts at $61K. The "el cheapo" GT350 starts at $47,750, and a lot of dealers are gouging customers by tacking on an "exclusivity charge" of $10,000 or more. Also, most people who get one opt for the tech package which adds another $7500 to the price. So you end up spending about $55K for the car - then there are options and extras (like window tint, clear bra, etc.) plus taxes, registration fees, insurance ...
Dude!...that sounds so sick! It reminds me of older muscle cars...you know some will forego many of the packages just to get the driving feel of a car like this....I might be one of them.
Also the magneride suspension though initially used by GM was never a GM product, it was a product of Delphi Automotive, who was first contracted by GM to produce their suspension for their corvette and later other GM products. Delphi Automotive also sell their product for Ferrari,Audi, Acura and rangerover and others. In a sorta reversal GM is now looking into Carbon Fiber rims having tested the results of Fords Shelby GT350R against their forthcoming Camaro z28 and zl1 Ford contracted Australian based Carbon Revolutions to create the GT350's rims
+xevious2501 GM started Delphi and spun it off as a separate company, which is why they had exclusive rights to this tech for many years across many of GMs devisions.
so Ford makes LOTS of time and money to make the GT350 affordable but greedy dealers are adding huge ADMs making the car stupid expensive, this is why I bought a 2012 Z06 for LESS than MSRP of the GT350
+Drew Flanagan, I need to move back to Alberta if $77k Mustang is an affordable Mustang. BTW, how much has the last "it" Mustang (Boss 302) dropped in value?
Wow you made a mistake. You could've ordered the R and paid msrp. The 2012 corvette looks dated. If you said you paid that much for a 2015 z06 then I'd be impressed.
You keep saying that, but it's easier said than done. You can't walk into any Ford dealership and order one. The dealer has to be authorized to sell it and have an available allocation. They are NOT going to give up an opportunity for a cash grab just to sell this car to someone at MSRP/retail. Not unless you know somebody in management at the dealership.
Flat Plane vs Cross Plane Crankshaft. Flat-Plane Crankshaft has the crank pins set at 180° apart, hence it's called flat-plane. Cross-Plane Crankshaft has the crank pins set at 90° apart. It resembles a cross from the end view. Most European & Asian V8s are Flat Plane Cranks vs most American V8s are Cross-Plane Crankshafts
Wonderful car ! My Uncle has a regular Mustang GT 2016, but this is amazing. Excellent review - Thank-you. I assume your prices are in Canadian Dollars.
+3star2nr Why on earth would you have two of the same car? Let's be realistic, this is a juiced up Mustang. To have two in your garage would be ridiculous. Same with the Stingray. Either save up for the Z06 package or just keep the regular Stingray and put a supercharger on it.
+supercooled Because, maybe it is none of your fucking business what he does with HIS money! Secondly, maybe the GT will be his daily driver and the GT350 will be his fun time car. Plus the GT350 will keep its value way better, so low mileage.
I'm dumbfounded by the levels of crybabies, ignorance, & flat out goobers in these comments. I'm so glad I'm seven months late to this video. I would've lost my shit reading some of these comments live
It is a fun car for sure. I have a 2016 tech pack car, so no track pack for me. Has anyone tracked one like mine and how long is safe? I’ve heard of cars catching fire.
Dealerships have a couple of these but in the R trim listed for $120,000 on AutoTrader in Canada. That much money for a Mustang with the same plastic interior is nuts. It's different and the engine is awesome but that's just ridiculous. I recommend waiting until they're not trying to rip people off. Might take a while. :)
+Ovi Wan Kenobi The car is significantly cheaper in the US, but dealers in this area (Metro DC) are also asking $10-20k over MSRP. Got a quote for a base with Tech package and a few options ($57k MSRP), they wanted $83k. I laughed at them. Asking Porsche money for a Mustang? I'd take a Cayman S (or the new Corvette Grand sport) all day, every day, and twice on Sunday for that money.
He said it is hard to explain what a flat plain crank is the term itself defines what it is and MagneRide setup is exclusive to the GT350R the track package does add MagneRide dampers but they are not setup same as the GT350R different software programming.
hey @motormouth canada great review! keep the good content coming. love your videos. i just did an in depth review of this amazing car and fell in love with it!
After all these years, Ford/American cars still can't make the engine bay look nicer and the wiring still all over the place. This is such a nice car. It's a shame what it looks like when you open the hood.
+Gerwich Saint-Hilaire the smart thing is to order it in advance then you can customize it exactly the way you want and pay retail cost. You're wait about a year but isn't it worth it.
+Gerwich Saint-Hilaire watch the fast lane car video ...run what you brung... The owner customer ordered it from a dealership and paid retail. I think that's the downside of ordering your vehicle, you won't pay less than retail (true price) but at least you don't pay dealer markup prices.
also it corners due to having independent rear wheel suspension- 2015 was the first year Ford did this to the Mustang. -- Hey, only took them 50 years lol!
I love it so much. My favorite Mustang of all time. And my wife has assured me that I will never own one.
+cyberspd bye bye wifey
+Newton Washinton I have to agree
unless you got kids lol
My wife as well... Guess I'm going to have to choke a bitch😌
get a new wife
I love it when 'ordinary' car channels review performance cars. No high horses. No high standards that us normal people/actual buyers are going to have.
A car a lot of people can afford... except the $10,000-$20,000 mark-up from Ford dealers.
+Blake Boege I was thinking the same thing when he said that especially here in Cali, it should be a law against that, smh
there pushing 50 in Cali I got only 5 over on mine
That's not bad, I'm going by what I see listed when I search cars.com etc...
Min $10K over now in 4-5 yrs -$10k net for $48 K that's the time to buy.
As you can see the plate says Ontario, in canada the msrp is never really brought up most of the time.
Love that color scheme. Best one I've seen yet.
I'm SO glad we don't need front license plates here in Saskatchewan
Kyle899 where the fuck is that
Why? Whats the big deal?
Kyle899 ya but you live in Saskatchewan!! The last place on earth anyone wants to live.
Is that Russia???
Yeah yeah you don’t have to rub it in.
This is killing me. I just bought a GT Premium that I really enjoy but the GT350 could become a thing I can't live without. Nice review...thanks.
Hi. I wonder if you bought a GT350?
In my opinion, Mustang GT's have forever been known as a car that busts out an exhaust note that sounds like the car is going much faster than it really is going. +john learoux The ZL1 doesnt compete against the GT350, that would be the GT500. But yeah, the Camaro is better
***** i liked the 302 and the GT500 but the early 4th gen stangs never did it for me.
***** personally i like the GT350 more than the camaro ss but i like the ZL1 more than the GT350

This car is just gorgeous. No other car on the planet I'd rather have than this.
This is not the "working man's sports car"... the regular GT is, and even that is pushing it nowadays.
I dailey drove a 2011 gt500 for 6 years not practical at all but fuck it. Now I dailey drive a 2015 gtpremium (obviously both stick). I still have the gt500 as well so I switch between the 2
Shane Fowler safe to assume you like mustangs then ? I want one with a Manuel
@@siphotos3282 I don't think people usually come with cars...Why does it have to be Manuel and not Jose or Juan or any other latino? LOL
Funny I remember the day when the Mustang was compared to the Camaro lol now its being compared to the vette damn Ford is doing something right!!!
John Swanson uhhh no
This is an amazing car. I've seen several on the streets of Vancouver. In person, it's a wide car and the sound is remarkable. Going to miss it when the electric and V4 turbo future arrives.
"Working man's car" my butt. It's $72,000!
I guess the Z06 Corvette is also a "working man's car" too since it starts at $80K.
"working man" doesn't refer to only the poor.
Toyota corolla is a working man's car I guess :P
? That's weird, they are $52k here in the states...
Jason Davis The GT 350R starts at $61K.

Just get a Hellcat, you can get 707 horsepower for around the price of 65k
Dude!...that sounds so sick! It reminds me of older muscle cars...you know some will forego many of the packages just to get the driving feel of a car like this....I might be one of them.
I love the way you explain "things"....Youre good you!!
Not a Mustang fan, but gotta give this one much props! It's mean as hell.
can't believe you cut out the engine start...
vector409 He did it cuz he ain't American.

+xevious2501 wrong again! Delphi invented magnetorheological dampers, GM later sourced them out to design a suspension system for Cadillac. lol
and as for this.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagneRide
as i said..
The first generation was created by Delphi Corporation and debuted on the Cadillac Seville STS
GM didnt MAKE it,
+xevious2501 GM started Delphi and spun it off as a separate company, which is why they had exclusive rights to this tech for many years across many of GMs devisions.
That exhaust!! Love this car easy competition to the M4
That colour looks stunning
Wait two years, let someone take the depreciation hit and pick one up with sub 10k miles.
Jedi391 I just bought one today with 12k miles.
@@conandoyle6758 and?? How is it???
5.2 Flat Plane Crank is a Marvel!
This may be my next car. We shall see. Thanks Zack.
now this is a serious beast. Love the orange
The new GT350 is in it's own league, nothing like it.
Listening to this with headphones on was an extremely fortunate circumstance of mine this morning.
also FUCK your morning and FUCK your fortunate circumstance BITCH.
lol, you're adorable!
This car is a beast!! love your reviews, keep up the good work!

+i like my women and subs 6&12 lol
Nicely done. I own one of these. Thanks for leaving out the music.
The GT350 is so awesome!!!!
I LOVE ALL STANGS TO INCLUDE THE 5.2 "VOO DOO" GT350...BUT AFFORDABLE??
What a beautiful car...... light years ahead of Camaros.....
Sweet ride...love my GT convertible but this is hot!
the way he's talking make this sound like its the gt350r
best looking mustang since the originals IMO
Ricky G yes indeed
I love my 18 Shelby in Lead Foot Gray.

gorgeous and powerful.

i always WANTED THAT BEAST...
your videos are amazing, i would love to see you doing reviews more often
Most dealers mark these up from $10,000-20,000 over MSRP. Not a "working man's" car, but a fantastic car just the same.

Wonder how much it will raise the price, 47k is really attractive now.

which is more expensive? GT350 or the Bullitt?
