- Making dog treats is a great way to not only save money, but, provide a healthy treat that you know exactly what it is made from! In this video I dehydrate some steak, chicken breasts, chicken gizzards & hears & livers, and lamb (well, I did the lamb later, due to my machine getting full).
Here is the dehydrator I use: amzn.to/3ldUlGI

I got so disgusted with all the recalls and alert messages on all meats for our dogs I finally got a dehydrator and started making my own. Thank you for your tips❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this! I just bought a tiny amount of treats that total over $50. I'm now learning to trust myself for being able to feed my pets non commercial foods. Thanks again for this.
just bought a dehydrator. no store-bought mystery-ingredient crap for Snuggles.
The play by play on them eating the treats was the best! Thanks so much for the video!
You know what I love most about homemade dog treats? Let's say you marketed them and sold them at a retail store. There would be only one ingredient on the bag. "Chicken Liver Treats", ingredients....chicken liver "Beef Jerky Treats", ingredients....beef etc. For my fur babies, only the most natural will do. Thanks for posting.
Thx a bunch! Gonna get a dehydrator now!
I dehydrate sprats too, my dog and cat love their jerky treats/food, i enjoy hand feeding them also.
The Chihuahua dog melted my heart reminded me of my dog hope you gave them extra treats for being extra good.
Your dogs are adorable ..... Thank you for making this I'm always looking for more natural treats for my own dogs as well it's hard to know what companies to trust anymore when every time you turn around there's a recall or something worse going on . I hope you make more like this ..... I also saw the comment below about your gf sending love and prayers to you all
Thanks :) I do plan to make more treat videos. I also have some treat videos from the past, and, homemade dog food videos. Not sure if you've seen them or not, so, figured I'd mention.
thank you very much for your time making this video and sharing with us your process and especially sharing the beautiful smiles from your doggies :)
I love watching the taste testers! HILARIOUS pups :) Thank you!
As soon as I saw those pup faces I had a little chuckle come out. How cool!!!
Your dogs make my heart melt ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for the video and your knowledge! I can’t wait to try it.
Greetings from the UK. I’ve just bought a dehydrator and will be using it to make treats for my dog. Your video was very useful. Thanks
Definitely gonna make these for my dog. She loves stuff like this and I could probably bury some of the treats in snow to get her sniffer working more since they’ve probably got a stronger smell than other treats.
I have the same dehydrater and I will really try this for my dog. Your dogs are just adorable....(smile) Thank you...
I'm so late to the dehydrating game. Thank you for this video, very informative & my dogs love you for it.
Great video thanks. Good you showed the dogs at the end, so cute. But also interesting how they both went for the liver first.
Well, I have chicken & I have a dehydrator. I'm off to make dog treats! Thank you!!
This is AWESOME!!!!! I spend SO MUCH on single ingredient treats!
Thank you! I was looking for something to feed my English bulldog puppy and this is perfect.
What a wonderful video, and beautiful, smart puppies :). Thank you for sharing!
so helpful and simple. such well behaved doggies
Those dogs were going nuts, I think they've had these before. I am so impressed by the love you have for your fur babies.
LOL, they didn't even chew those treats.
Great idea!!...love it, will def do this 🐕🐶
The dogs can’t wait, so cute. Thanks
Super cute! Thanks for sharing.
I loved it..!! Thank you very much for sharing.

thank you sooooooooo much this was soo helful and your dogs are the cutest
That is so awesome. I have a dehydrator that I have never used. I don't know why but you have now convinced me to give it a go. Your dogs are so adorable. I have 3 dogs and lets just say a bunch of cats. Now some kittens. lol Thanks for the great info. Looking forward to your next video. I hope your fiance is doing well.
Awww I love your dogs! ❤️
great video! i will be trying this out
My dog loves homemade treats. I use an air fryer oven. My cat loves too.
Thank for the video, I am definitely go to look at a dehydrator.
Thank you for sharing the video😊👍
Thank you for your video this will really help me I just bought a dehydrator machine, and I will start tomorrow like some people said, you never know what these companies put in their treats. Thanks a bunch
Good luck making some healthy treats!
I've been making dehydrator treats for awhile but just tried gizzards and he loves it.
Perfect 🤩 thank you for sharing
So cool!! Thank you ❤
You have taught Jack well to not steal food. A lot of dogs remain independent when it comes to that and always try to get any food they can. Lol. Also glad to hear you and your fiancee are doing well.
Adorable dogs awww give him more thank you 🙏
Thank you.
Thank you just got my dehydrator and this helped allot I’m saving a lot of money for sure !
Glad to hear! So much you can do in these; for dogs and humans!
Me too!
Wow! I’m doing this today!
Your dogs is sooo energetic and cute 😍
OMG...I love your doggies.
Thanks for a great video! I'm making these asap!
UPDATE: I made these yesterday and my 16-week-old mini schnoodle puppy loves them! I made the beef (I used round steak that was pre-cut for stir-fry recipes) and chicken breasts. Today, I am dehydrating chicken feet. They are supposed to take 24 hours. After searching and searching for healthy, digestible chewy treats for my puppy, I am so glad to discover that I can make my own! Thank you again!
Hey!! Happy 2021. Please make more videos like this.
Thank you for the great information!!!! I have chicken livers in my dehydrator right now!!!
Wow I am going to look into this
Great video. Really well detailed and clear. I am considering doing this for my dogs and my training clients' dogs. Still doing research, but this was a great video. Thank yoU!
No problem! This works great with basically any meat, and some veggies. Cut slices of chicken, steak, sweet potatoes, almost anything!
Thats why i want to make a new brand of pet food you can trust and afford!
MuddyMutts ! I want to make food & accessories
It's a treat both you and your pet can enjoy.
Jack looks like one of the two big eyed characters from Ice Age the movie only brown and a dog. So cute.
Great idea, with 2024 prices that never cease to go down! Dehydrator!
Come to find out, literally all dog treats have some sort of sugar added in them. They use it as a preservative, and to flavor it so they can't taste all the other crap they put in them. Which we all know, sugar is a big no-no for dogs. All the more reason to make your own treats. Thanks so much for the video!
I got a dehydrator for christmas and I've been making so much jerky for my pup, her favorites are calf liver and chicken breast
Edit: I use the backside of a knife to flatten out the livers, helps a lot with the dehydrating process
That is the cherry on the cake! Showing your doggies enjoying the snacks! Thanks, Bro!
Yess!! I’m getting this tomorrow for my dog 😍
Healthier - easy and so much more inexpensive - I will be making these for my dog- but I will be cutting smaller pieces as my older dog can’t chew very well due to tooth loss- thanks for the video!!
I’m making my babies dog treaaaats..thank u❤️❤️❤️
That’s incredible. Im sold. I’m getting a dehydrator ASAP
The one in this video is super easy to clean
We make deer jerky for ourselves. Delicious! And z can control salt content. We just use liquid smoke.
i am gonna make that too for my dog.
I cut the meat when it's partially frozen, you can cut it much thinner then
Oh my goodness...they are too 😍 thanks for sharing!
Just got a dehydrator...have made ground beef jerky in the oven mixed in liver...my dog loves it.. ole girl gonna get some organ meats now too!
Lucky dogs ❤ they are soooo cute
Thanks so much! I have steak in right now for my 5 pups
Lol. Jack's face is so funny!
The dogs are so cute
Iam getting an Excalibur dehydrator tommorow

You know the foods are good for your dog when they don’t have the tears in the face!!! Ur dogs are so funny! Especially Jack! 😂
"Takeoutable" lol
Great
Brilliant !
I do got a blue healer and she’s picky on what she eats .. now I’m reluctant or hesitant to feed her the treats I usually buy her and jus learned that it’s not healthy or some have been recalled … hope this works …
Haha that min pin is going crazy for a bite! Got that crazy min pin shake haha oh yea they eat like they’ve been starved they are food obsessed lol
I do this too it is way better for them. Also, goats milk is good too.
Just started making my own dog food & treats. My questions are, do you ever use fish in dog food? Do you have a recipe for dry dog food? Love your videos, thanks for your help!
I’ve been paying $17 for an 8oz bag of dehydrated fish skins on Amazon. Time to switch! THANK YOU! ❤️ Jack makes me crack up when his little feet start skidding on the floor as he tries to be patient. 😂
You for sure can do this with fish as well! Dog treats are so darn expensive. Make at home and save a ton!
Yep, for sure! Really never thought about it before I watched your video. Just got my dehydrator today and came back to TT video. Doong some chicken. Never thought about doing livers - those are REALLY cheap! Gonna go out and get some. Thanks again!
my senior is gonna like this
Hello!! Your dogs are sooo stinking cute !! 🥰🐶 jack reminds me of my belgian malinois Cash he literally sucks his food down instead of chewing it! Question did you rub any flavors or spices on your meats? Or just left them plan with no flavor? Any suggestions on a pet friendly natural rub with no added sugar or preservatives.
I laughed seeing the dogs anticipation.
Took longer to make them but Omg this makes me sooooo happy to see them enjoy everything! Can’t wait to make it myself !
god I love dogs; great video.
The brown doggie with the huge eyes saying im a good boy ❤😂😉🥰
Thank you for the video.
Where I live we don't have those cuts of meat, maybe because in the province of Québec they use that for making Pogos (in the province of Québec people on the "bien-être social" like Pogos a heck of a lot).
Or maybe I don't look enough.
Any steak, beef, or chicken works. I'd be amazed if they don't have chicken hearts, or, chicken or beef livers.
@@earthling1984 Beef livers, yes of course.
A full pack of chicken hearts or a pack of chicken livers, I have never see that.
I live in Quebec and yes we have all those meats
I’m making some for my doggos tomorrow.;) we have ground turkey and chicken livers.
So cute. One is ready for more and the other is struggling to chew just one piece. lol
Thanks for this! Wondering if you know how to dehydrate food and keep nutrients?
👍
Thanks I needed this! Cute pups 😆 your right so much cheaper and healthier. Manufacturers add so much harmful chemicals and unnecessary preservatives that are harmful
You're welcome! Yup, make it lower cost and healthier at home!
My Samsung oven dehydrates, I just need to learn how to use it 🤣 we make our girls food and cookies, but I like the idea of meat treats.
I cook gizzard in coconut oil chop it up n it's a topper to there food
Hi, thanks for posting this. I have two labrador retrievers and they love these quick bites. Here in India, we don't get as many natural and healthy options for dog treats. I was thinking of doing this commercially, can you please suggest if this is feasible in terms of shelf life. Thanks again
OK I got some of this.. For my first try. I did credit you on video I posted. (I dont know how to do that but i did say your name.) My first go so be gentle!! Chop meat, gizzard , livers, sweet potato , carrots, rice, eggs. That's all I had at the moment. 🤣 I will let you know how it went. Or go look at my video. See what I did wrong. 😨
Thanks for the fab info! I have just purchased a stainless steel dehydrator and my real purpose is to use it for my cat's treats and food stuffs. A freeze Dyer I ridiculously expensive and I'm not sure there's any real benefit over the dehydrator for the private sector.
I do have a question. One dog is almost twice the size of the other, lol! Do you give both the same amount of food for other stuff, too?
