i feed these to my puppy now, 5 months, and they have done wonders for his teething! i used to have to buy these insanely expensive, crappy ingredient teething rings because they were they only thing that helped, once i learned about chicken and duck feet it was a game changer!! thank you 🙏
^my boy also never had any gum bleeding! i think because he started so early :) that’s also thanks to you guys!!
So glad it’s working well for you! We greatly appreciate the kind words ❤️
more dehydrator videos! I just got one & a huge bag of chicken feet, hearts & liver. I'm super excited!
As you've mentioned one of the most awesome benefits of chicken feet is that they have a glucosamine and collagen type 2 which is REALLY great for joint pains for older dogs.
It's really cheap snack that will make your dog walk and feel better.
Thank you so much! I can’t afford a freeze drier . I read they’re the safest . But the ones I bought smell rancid . I don’t want to make my dogs sick . I appreciate the temperature info ! I’m doing this for my dogs. Especially my little 15-year-old miniature Chiweenie. She hates her teeth being brushed and she will silk and get mad at me every time I’ve tried to push her to brush them. Her mouth is so tiny that I don’t want to hurt her, even though her toothbrush is almost microscopic.😂. Her teeth get dirty so quick. I take her twice a year for cleanings and they look brown and mucky with a month or so if I don’t put in any effort. My other dog chews on everything so his teeth are beautiful. But he deserves a nice treat like this too.😊
Love this I was just looking into how to dehydrate my own chicken feet for my dogs a few days before this! Could you also do chicken hearts and liver too?!
Absolutely! Throw them all in together ☺️
I just ran across your channel and I subscribe immediately!
Thank you for sharing. I do have some chicken feet and I am going to dehydrate some for my two dogs and then I’m also going to put some in my pressure cooker for a minute and cook some in a recipe to give me collagen since I’m in my mid to late 50s.
Thank you and stay blessed you and your family🙏🏽😇
Wowww 😮 you give me a very good valuable information to learn from… ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you for sharing and I’m totally following you from this instant second 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is so good. Thank you.
When you say it cannot be cooked in an oven above 150° you mean Fahrenheit right? Not Celsius?
Correct! Thanks for your kind words ❤️
Thank you very much!
Do you trim the chicken nails off?
I love this guy. Very smart.
I think you should. The nails can be really sharp.
I live in Nevada, I just leave them out overnight and voila…..hard as a ROCK 🤣🤣🤣
But my pups do like them in their natural state and I feed them frozen, same as raw, frozen chicken necks 💪
Very informative...can you tell me again what kindbof dehydrator you have and did you say you can get on Amazon for about $50?
Love this!!! Any way to do this in an oven?
Yup. It'll just take a little longer. 😊
I made my dog chicken feet for the first time, but dehydrated them at 160°. Does 10° make a huge difference, or are they still safe?
I've dehydrated them for 48 hours at 65° c and when I break them open they're still oily inside, is this okay?
Can you use a regular oven if you do not have a dehydrator?
When you feed the chicken feet raw, do you remove the claws?
We do not! They’re often softer than the bones themselves and the dogs can handle bones very easily. However, if it worries you, no harm in giving them a trim before feeding ☺️
What do you store them in? Another site said the dehydrate them for 24 hrs. Your suggestion 2-3 days?
Hi, Hello from Indonesia, I love your video, I just started want dehydrated treats for my pets, can you give me information about what's brand dehydrator do you used and is it work for bully stick, pig ears too?
Hey there Bryce thanks for the very informative video. I'm planning also on getting myself a dehydrator machine to make my dog's treats since in the long run its much more cost effective. Just wanna ask would the temperature needed for dehydration be the same for other types of meats/raw meaty bones? For example if I would like to make dehydrated chicken breasts would i still set the dehydrator to 150 degress also wanna ask what is the temperature unit that you are referring to is it celsius or farenheit? The dehydrator that I'm planning to get only goes up to 80c. Thanks in advance if you ever get the chance to notice my comment and reply. Much love, stay safe and healthy for you, your wife and your lovely companions.
I have a cheap smoker it heats up.to 200 and only has 2 shelves, what temperature do you recommend and time
How often can they have chicken feet/hearts/livers, My puppy eats unkibble with broth at this time. Thanks
How would i do animals bones like a cow leg ? Big bones
Mt husband is worried to feel them raw anything because of salmonella? Can they get it from chicken feet?
If that were the case, my dogs or me would be dead by now or got sick lol I've been feeding my dogs raw chicken and other meats for 7 years now 🤷
Is there a difference between chicken and duck feet?
Both of my Assiedor are allergic to chicken.
But is 150 safe? Usually the recommended safe temperature is 165F to kill all bacteria. Although this guideline is for humans
Is this recipe good for air dryers as well?
I don't have a dehydrator nor do I have the money to afford one is there a way I can use an oven?
Could I bake these instead using a dehydrator? And for how long?
I always give my dog dehydrated chicken feet but today noticed after he was done chewing on them he left some crumbs behind and they were pretty sharp and pointy. Is that normal or were they over cooked?
3 days?? holy cow
I heated them to 170 is that too hot?
Is it necessary to boil them before you dehydrate them?
You shouldn’t boil it if you do the bones have a high chance of splintering which can puncture your dogs internals
My cats can’t handle the poultry, or duck, or even gamebirds like pheasant, and that they get really sick
Wonder if I could do this with an air fryer ??
I did worked perfectly
Please how long does it take with air fryer and at what temperature please
@@temidayooyelowo5770I think it's the same temperature and time he suggested, just check throughout the cooking process to make sure it doesn't over cook. At least that's what I plan to do.
What if I don’t have dehydrator
My friend Carlos just sets up his hair dryer on low
Feed like to treat like...homepathy! Yea
It won’t let me subscribe to your chamnel
You NEED to specify what degrees you are referring to!! You got to be aware that on youtube you will have international audience and most of the world thinks in Celsius.... only US and maybe a few others don't........
If some one takes instruction as degrees Celsius their dog will be in trouble as bones will be cooked at a too high temperature and can be harmful.
Fahrenheit is American, he has an American accent, if anyone is concerned, Google is your friend.
@@phoenixxstar3825 just because the Americans are still in the dark ages and are not capable of using Celsius or metric, doesn't mean that the rest of us have to always think about this fact.
If they want international audience, the best is to specify the units they are talking in.
Not hard!!
@@Lucinka58so ask. simple. no need to get upset.
@@spiced.ciderr who's upset?
All I did was mentioned that for an international audience they should specify the scale they measure the temperature in. Not everyone is aware of the americans being still in dark ages and using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius as the rest of the civilized world.
I don't need to ask, I know......... many others don't though and if they used the said temp. in C not F, they would roast the feet and make it dangerous to their dogs. So this is a safety issue as well!!
