Hello Becky. I want to take a moment to thank you for the dog treat recipes! My daughter has a service dog (medical and mobility alert) Labrador named Chance. I am so excited to find a recipe that is easy to make and has peanut butter in it .. which is something she absolutely loves. I will be in the kitchen soon to make the bone shaped biscuit that you shared and I know Chance will absolutely love it. Two thumbs up for all you share on your youtube. I have been a long time follower and you've been a blessing to me and my family.
Nice video! I have a bell hanging outside by my door and I trained my dog that when I ring the bell she gets a cookie. Never fails and I never have to run after her. Just a little trick!😁
I had to laugh when you were telling your dog story about chasing after them in their robe and slippers. We had labs. One of them, Dora insisted on going to the neighbors house every single time she went out in the front yard which was only when I took her driving somewhere. I could not get her to come back home. I would call, then threaten, nothing worked. Finally I started yelling “bacon“! Talk about run! She made a beeline for the house. From there on out I never had a problem with her staying at the neighbors anymore however I did have to fork out bacon treats every time. 😆
“At least it’s not in my towel… although I’ve done that too”’ 🤣🤣🤣 dying over here! Lol! Thanks for the great video hon, great job as always! And thank you most of all for keeping it real!!!
Great video. Just remember: Pig liver filters garbage out of the system and is high in copper which can cause kidney disease. Give only once or twice a week.
Bake the eggshells and grind them in a coffee grinder. Add some of the powder to the recipe for the minerals. I take eggshell powder every day myself too.
I also LOVE your honesty! For the dog owners that haven't had to run down the street to retrieve a dog... it's going to happen, just a matter of time. We have a local store that makes dog treats like cupcakes and donuts. She started as a hole in the wall kind of shop and now she ships all over the world. For some people their dogs are their children. Dog's sure have a way of loving you!
When I introduced my dog liver the first time, he refused to eat it, and I was a bit surprised and disappointed, I tried again and he still didn’t want to try it, after few tries he tasted it and loved it, so don’t be upset about it. Try several times and your dog might change his mind. just make sure to give them organs meat no more than a small piece a day. Great video.👍
Becky, these recipes are amazing!!!! My frenchie, Thor (seated on my lap while watching this with mama) was salivating just watching! He's our furbaby so we feed him the best but I've been looking to start making his treats from scratch to cut down on cost. Your topics are always so timely!
I made your Peanut Butter, Pumpkin, Oatmeal dog treats. Use a Biscotti tip to ensure they’re dry enough. I baked mine for 35 minutes, cooled them on a rack, returned them to a baking sheet & baked for an additional 14 minutes.
Just have to say you are awesome!! Through and through such an authentic person and overall joy to watch. I never imagined I’d find myself on this side of RUclips but you completely inspire me to cook more and provide for myself and my family♥️ keep doing you
I love your energy and enthusiasm. I used to make dog treats from spent beer grains! Please keep in mind that liver is very high in vitamin a, which if given too often can be toxic. Also, xylitol is very toxic. Make sure the peanut butter does not contain it. Thanks for your amazing videos!
🤣 "At least I'm not in a towel but I've done that too." Becky, you crack me up!! I can relate about chasing my dog down in a robe! Those little rascals! Another great video! Thanks for sharing! I'm sure your freeze-dried treats are much healthier for your sweet boys than the store bought ones! What a wonderful mommy you are! Hugs and blessings!
I literally stopped traffic in my robe shaking a bag of cheddar cheese once. I feel your pain. 😂 Our dogs love freeze dried liver. I think I could train them to do just about anything with that stuff. Been making homemade dog treats for years. If I happen to run out (I try not to) and have to grab something store bought they just turn their noses up. Your pups are gorgeous.
I have bone cutters and my dog loves it. I’m making more for my dog with Turkey, pumpkin like your oats one. I mixed the Turkey with it instead of making separate
I used to buy freeze dried liver and buzz it up in the blender and added it to my dog cookie recipes. I had to subtract some of the flour and add a bit more liquid to the dough but it worked great and my dog loved it. They were the most effective training treats!
Perfect timing on this video 😀 We just ran out of cookies for our Boxer. He has been resting his droopy face on top of his empty cookie jar today in the most pathetic “am I making you feel bad ?” way. 😂
Love your channel cant wait my seeds are growing thats series ilove ur diong it im in apt my balcony will have a tall tower garden. 5 levels high like your green stock. Making. These treats for my neighbor so thank josh becky and the fur babies for making us 75 year old mom and me smile thank you. Blessing with a humble heart to your family from Ontario Canada you are loved
So glad i remembered that you made dog treats , because i got a pup for mothers day , nearly 12 wks , a beautiful white jack russell , and i decided to bake some treats. I already have most of the ingredients , but just read the ingredients in the peanut butter , and need to buy some with just peanuts .Thank you xx
Nice job Becky! I raw meat feed my dogs for over 15 years now, they never get sick and they are so muscler and lean. Your dogs are beautiful! I'm going to try the dog bone treats for sure.
I pressure cook the meat first then dehydrate it to make dog treats. My shepherd doesn’t like it dehydrated raw. But I’ve made the pumpkin peanut butter treats for him & he loves them. Thanks for being you. ❤️
Another reason to put on the list for my hubby to get me a freeze dryer!! Thanks for the amazing video . I have a Aussie bulldog that may need bigger pieces 😂🐽
It may take a couple of try’s for the pups. We recently changed our treats and they’re bigger. The first time I gave it to them, neither ate the treats. Now they love them. Great video 😊
Becky you can also grind up the liver & heart & add it too water & pour it over their dry food let it soak up a little & then feed it to them kinda like wet food that way if one doesn't like it raw he may like it over food & you'll still be able to get it into their diet! I loooove how when they are both sitting & waiting tib has his right paw up & orb has his left paw up lol oppositesssss! Too cute 😍
Thanks so much for sharing this! I bought a whole cow back in the fall, and like you, I also requested to have the liver and heart because I hate letting things go to waste, but also - you pay for it...might as well get it all! My dogs will love this. My freeze dryer actually comes today!! I’m so so excited. I ordered it two months ago I think. 👏🏻
I so have to get a freeze dryer. I love making dog treats but since they’re fresh I can only do small batches at a time so they don’t spoil. I tried dehydrating them but they never got dehydrated fully. The freeze drying method looks perfect. So much to do with it - thanks for showing everything you can do. 👍🏻
We made these today!!!!! I bought a dog bone cookie cutter and they turned out so cute. My girls LOVE them!!!! They smell wonderful!!!!!! My husband said they smell good enough to eat. I told him they were for the girls!!!! hahaha!!! Thank you for the awesome recipe!!!!!!!
Did the liver and heart for my dogs too I did the heart in a crockpot and fried liver they love it. Try baking it first Then I freeze dried it. They hear me open the jar and come running. Maybe your puppy prefers cooked treats
I just bought the last ingredients for the dog cookies and bought the cookie cutter. I don’t have any dogs but my sisters do so I am making for them. Excellent video. Thanks Becky ❤️🤗
We finally broke down and bought the freeze dryer….waited 4 weeks and it came damaged. The replacement is due here this week!!! Thanks so much for all of your videos, we’ve learned so much and we have a beautifully LARGE pantry and LARGE freezer full of food along with our entire wall of canned goods!!
The dog treats (Bones) are the best. All four of our dogs LOVE them, even the super picky one begs for them. Thank you for such an easy recipe that they all love.
Thank you BTWY for all the videos Becky, I appreciate your hard work and all your efforts to feed your family. Thank you for sharing your ideas and experiences.
Great video Becky thank you so much. Just a thought you could powder the liver and heart and use it to put in to the oat biscuits to flavour them up. Also dehydrate it to give them more of a chew style treat! Love watching your videos over here in Aus, keep them coming!!
I definitely want to get a freeze dryer one of these days! My dogs would have both loved those treats! We bought some liver treats from Costco, and they love them! I bought the bone cookie cutter, and have all the ingredients to make the dog biscuits! Can’t wait to make them!
I know this isn’t pertaining to this video but just to share about my homegrown potatoes.... When cleaning mine yes they are very dirty and various sizes( I think they keep better that way). I put the ones I wish to use, in the sink with water, individually rinse and scrub, as I’m cutting them up I drop them in a bowl of water with a little white vinegar and salt, until I’m ready to drain and start cooking however I wish. Just works well for me. I’m enjoying all your videos!!
I don't have dogs but I'm motivated to make these treats for the dogs owned by my family members... and I actually don't like dogs! You are such an inspiration! You motivate me to do extra for others and you make everything look so easy!!! Thank you for your videos!
I always try to get the organic peanut butter for this reason. That and thr generic stuff usually adds sugar and I honestly think the organic stuff just tastes better without the added sugar
I made these! YAY me! I had all the ingredients, on hand. Oh, all 3 dogs loved them. They are SO easy. Now that I know how easy, I’m going to double the recipe. I have 2 Mastiffs and a lab mix. TFS 💯❤️
For those who don't have the guided rolling pin.. You can use 2 paint stirring sticks like the ones you get from Home depot. Lay them down, one on each side of the dough, and roll over the dough & stir sticks for an even dough.
I'm dating myself here but the Excitement I get when I'm notified of your new videos; pairs to my Excitement for the TGIF line up as a kid lol. I love your channel, Becky! Thank you for sharing 😁
Thanks for sharing. I bought that cute little dog bone cookie cutter like a year ago, with the intent of making treats for my pups. I've yet to use it as I couldn't find a recipe that seemed doable for me. LOL I'm waiting for my freeze drier to ship! I so cannot wait! We buy our beef and pork whole from local farmers too. The next time I will ask for ALL of the parts of them! ~ Stephanie
@@AcreHomestead I have the same FD and am planning to FD organic livers to powder and encapsulate, for myself! I take dessicated liver capsules for my anemia and this will be much cheaper!! It's such a great supplement, full of iron, b vitamins, so many good things! Can't wait until I can get my own half cow and organs!
I’m going to give the baked ones a try, although pumpkin is hard to get around here so will try it with sweet potato instead :) hope it works out well! I make my own dog food and it’s so easy! I do it once every few weeks or so and just freeze it in individual portions. The night before we take out two portions from the freezer to defrost and that’s it.
It's my birthday today, and I'm very glad you uploaded! I don't have dogs, but I'm very happy to watch this video because it's interesting to me regardless (: thank you for brightening my day, and i hope you have a blessed rest of the year
Could you just cook the liver and hearts and then fine chop? I just cooked some Turkey liver and heart last night and chopped it into my dog’s food. I wish I had seen this before using it. Oh and I hadn’t tried liver since I was a child, which obviously I didn’t like. So I tried it last night and I do like it now! It has a weird texture so I don’t think I could eat it straight, but made into something such as pate, I think I could get into it. Thanks for the info.
I too had to laugh when you were telling your dogs story, especially when you said you ran down after the dogs in your towel. That is my daughter. She did that to me a couple of times.. Only once was because of the dogs! I make horse treats for our horses. I just use the dehydrator for those. As for the double egg, that only added the extra yolk. The extra moisture more than likely came from the pumpkin. Great job on the treat! They looked amazing! Your puppers are so cute!
You should try Dr Harvey's dog foods. You just add meat of your choice and oil. Super healthy and quick to prepare. I started using it when my dog was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer eat raw foods. Healthy dogs can enjoy both for a variety.
I make my dow's treats as well!, just an egg, peanut butter and the whole wheat flour you need, just roll them into little balls and off to the airfryer they go, they like them better than the store bought one's for sure!! I have 3 dogs and one of them is really picky too, so to make the treats for them that they know they already like is a plus.
Hey just wanted to let you know that I’m your biggest supporter/fan I love all your videos I love everything about your channel you are a true inspiration love u also when are u going to do a video about receiving your RUclips 100k sliver button sending you lots of love and blessings to you and your family ❤️🥰😘
You can vacuum seal those jars with an O2 for long term also.{just keep them stored out of direct light and heat} I have a Large FD with over 300 half gallon jars vac sealed with dozens of types of foods in them already. Awesome Machine and it feels great having all this food stored for whenever. Thx for the dog treat recipe, my pack of 11 dogs will certainly love them too!
I’ll have to give this a try. I don’t have a freeze dryer yet but I do grind and freeze in scoops all the organs from the meat chickens we raise. I thaw some out and put on their food. Sometimes I even leave it frozen. My LGD loves it. For your dog who doesn’t want the freeze dried treats you could try grinding it to a powder to mix in his food with some water or bone broth.
You can also use sweet potatoes to dry for snacks for you both. Which are suppose to be delish. And I think I would try a winter squash. Should the dogs not like the squash you can always powder it to add into soups and such.
I made the oatmeal, peanut butter treats tonight for my Doberman Roxie. She likes them. So I guess I’ll be making them again. Very cute and nutritious for my big baby.
Lol That was so funny! Orbit was hanging out next to the cookie jar, for a reason! No liver and heart for him..haha 🤣 I also make treats sometimes, but mostly only on their birthdays. I’ll do a dog friendly cake and decorate some homemade treats with carob. I have the paw print cutter too, so I fill in the pads with the carob, and they’re so cute, and draw letters on the treats, then I decorate the cake writing out their name with the letters, and put the other treats around the cake. I always wish I could post pics on RUclips. It would be much easier than explaining it. Haha Thanks for sharing your recipe!! God Bless! 🙏🏼🐶💙
So taking your basic dog cookie recipe, if you freeze dry the liver and then make it powder, you can add some of the powder into the cookies for a different flavor (taking out the pumpkin but keeping the peanut butter). Or leave the pumpkin, it might be fine with it.
Whenever I make liver for my dog I always soak it in milk first it helps with the flavor, idk if that's a possibility when freeze drying but it may help. Also I would speak with your vet if you're interested in a raw diet most vets Do Not recommend it since dogs have evolved along side us to eat cooked foods, they digest it better. Love your content!!
I make that too but I put it in my stand mixer. My dogs love them too. They also love liver and any organ meat. But I love liver and onions. So we might fight over it. You are such a generous person.
Absolutely loved this video as I do them all. Aren't dogs just the best company. I would love a freeze drier but they are about 3 times the cost here in the UK which is not feasible at all for me. Maybe before I retired but not now. I will just take solice in watching you make full use of yours. Tale care and stay safe xx
I do two additional tips: I put oatmeal down then roll out the dough. Halfway thru baking the cookies, I flip them so they get extra dry and crunchy. Also, I freeze mine so that they last longer. ❤️🐶 🐾 I make mine his own dog food and he loves it. I put the recipe below for your review, but please review with your vet. food recipe 2 lbs ground beef 85% 1/2 pound diced pork chops 1 pound diced beef liver 2 lbs diced Chicken thighs 1-2 lb diced chicken breast 1/2 lb diced applewood smoked bacon 1 lb white rice 2-3 cups oatmeal 12 oz frozen peas and carrots 12 oz frozen green beans 2-3 T Hempseed oil 2 T flaxseed 1-2 teas turmeric 2 teas dried kelp 5 lbs sweet potatoes 1 teas cinnamon 2 finely diced apples 1/4 c brown sugar or 2 T honey 2-3 cooked eggs Sauté all of the meats separately, then add them to a large mixing bowl. When you cook the chicken thighs, add the turmeric and dried kelp. Cook sweet potatoes and remove peels and add to large mixing bowl. Cook oatmeal and rice separately. Add all items to a large mixing bowl and stir. * items added during serving 1 pump fish oil zucchini or broccoli or spinach Let it cool, then store excess in the freezer and what will be consumed for the week in the refrigerator.
I love it. For the dog that doesn't like it, crumble it up and mix it into your baked dog treats. That way heal get some of the nutrient benefits.
That’s a great idea!
Yess they get all the good nutrition while them not knowing you snuck it in there 😊
"At least it is not a towel, and I have done that, too." Love that you are completely honest and real. I am always looking forward to your videos. 🙌🙂

It's my birthday today, and I'm very glad you uploaded! I don't have dogs, but I'm very happy to watch this video because it's interesting to me regardless (: thank you for brightening my day, and i hope you have a blessed rest of the year
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM CANADA
Happy Birthday🎈🎉
Happy Birthday!! I hope you have a great day!
@@AcreHomestead @M.C. Minx @lotus thank you guys lots!!
Happy birthday sweetheart
Could you just cook the liver and hearts and then fine chop? I just cooked some Turkey liver and heart last night and chopped it into my dog’s food. I wish I had seen this before using it.
Oh and I hadn’t tried liver since I was a child, which obviously I didn’t like. So I tried it last night and I do like it now! It has a weird texture so I don’t think I could eat it straight, but made into something such as pate, I think I could get into it. Thanks for the info.
Good idea!
I dont even have dogs but I love all your videos. Great job. Lucky pups!
At 9:24 -- IMPRESSIVE! Wow, you have very well-trained dogs! So beautiful, too. They deserve to be spoiled!
Your dogs are. So cute and very obedient
Raw is best but freeze dried is great too. I would soak it in water before giving to the other dog and I bet he'd eat it and love it mine do!!
Awesome video, Becky! Your videos always put a smile on my face, and I want to try everything you make.
I love binging your videos on the weekend!
I’ve Made dog cookies similar to this, i use water instead of eggs and apple sauce instead of pumpkin 🥰.
I was just impressed by how well trained your dogs are
Australian shepherds are so smart.
I made them, cut in squares. Gilley, our Labradoodle LOVES them, Big Hit! Thank you, Becky!
Try grinding the freeze dried heart and liver and add to treats or other food for the dogs. They may like it better.
God Bless! 🙏🏼🐶💙
I made the apple and carrot treats...they absolutely loved it!!!! Thank you for sharing this!
Advise - next time you make this dough try using your danish whisk. I use mine for anything to do with dough or heavy batters.
Hugs becky love your channel im so sorry to hear about the loss of orbit !
You mean Gizmo.
A double yolks egg is still no fifferant from another egg in volume and doesnt effect the moisture in your revipe.
At least it’s not a towel and I’ve done that too….I can’t stop laughing!!!!!
I'm so happy to see this video on homemadr dog treats. Thank you for sharing.
I don't even have a dog, but I thoroughly enjoyed this video. They are adorable. It's so fun watching you use your freeze dryer!
Que increíble esta tu máquina para congelar
Me encantó la receta para mi perro.
I made dog biscuits this morning! Fun coincidence 😂 What a great way to spend a Sunday!
I do two additional tips:
I put oatmeal down then roll out the dough.
Halfway thru baking the cookies, I flip them so they get extra dry and crunchy.
Also, I freeze mine so that they last longer. ❤️🐶 🐾
I make mine his own dog food and he loves it. I put the recipe below for your review, but please review with your vet.

Hahahaha I Love your videos! You made me laugh out loud! I also have been known to venture out in "said" robe and flippers, but not a towel yet! LOL
