Despite Giancarlo playing well the Yankees best line up is Soto DH and Dominguez in CF, I mean that’s the future anyway. That’s why Stanton presents such a problem. Tell me the Yankees are not better with Verdugo in LF, Dominguez center, Judge in RF, and Soto DH. Also Dominguez is a switch hitter and a shit ton faster than StantonJust in the last few games Stanton’s legs have cost us runs

Should rest Soto. Losing these three games against the Dodgers is ok

    1. Tanaka may have not needed Tommy John. But he had an actual tear, Cole did not. Also Tanaka was never as dominant after the tear as before.
    2. Stanton should be in RF if Soto needs to DH. Who cares if he gets hurt. I can’t believe Michael K said he essentially becomes a pinch hitter. The dude makes $25 million and is 34 years old. He played the outfield last year. I watched him. He’s hit or miss at the plate hot or cold. Put him in the damn field if he is physically able to play.

Tanaka was a front line ace until the tear. Should have had surgery during those meaningless mid decade years.

@@veritasinvicta8128 I remember the first week he came back from the tear. They were all talking about about how he had reinvented his fastball and took off about 5 miles an hour in velocity.
It’s like how the hell is that a good thing? Give them the surgery so he can get back to himself. Tanaka was 11-1 1.99 era before the tear. Rest of his career 3.50-4.00 era. Never as dominant

@@uninformedopinion1668 He came back for the last game of 2014 after being injured with a 10-1 record to start the year. Remember the 3 something game winning streak he had and added to?
I was happy he came back because we had nothing else to cheer for after the 2009 -12 window slammed shut with jeter's broken leg.
Later on when he was great as 'Playoff" Tanaka but average in regular season I regretted that he didn't get the surgery. We needed the pitching during 2017 theiugh 2020 when the Yankees were a righty hitting homer powerhouse that lacked great postseason pitching.
I cannot believe what Matt Blake has done. Potteet last night again. Even out spot starters throw with other team's aces.

Judge should be in RF if they want to play him outfield. Hes too big to cover center, which he does well but soto should be center if healthy. Hes young.

@@uninformedopinion1668 What metrics are you looking at? He’s above average in the outfield this season actually. I’m not saying he’s an amazing outfielder, but he has been good. He’s not going to be at first base anytime soon in his career, unless he has an injury so bad that he can’t throw or run anymore, which is very unlikely in the next decade or so.
