long time UPS delivery driver explains how to properly handle a situation that most UPS delivery drivers will come across occasionally. how to handle a situation where a delivery has multiple packages and one of them can't be delivered because it's signature required and there's nobody to sign for it.

I like to just not scan or press the one that needs a sig and I just sheet the other as delivered and the signature as non deliver , that way you don't gotta unconfirm or do all that other stuff , basically deliver one close it out and it'll have the sig one still on your diad for that stop then just close it out as not available or whatever .....
Thanks for sharing that info, that happened to me today! not even the sups knew how to handle it lol, I'm a seasonal driver and let me tell ya, it's not an easy job, I've had packages that weight over 100 lbs and I don't know how people would be able to even lift those up.

How about a video on how to enter/remove a note for an address. You used to do that on the DIAD 5 but I have not found out a way to do it on the new one.

How do you void the fake stop you just did and if you DR the first box then scan the signature required you can touch the little 3 dot on upper right and touch “duplicate stop” that will work without being busted for padding stops.
“If you have one pkg that needs a sig and one that doesn't and they're not home, select "no person" and it will let you NI one pkg and deliver the other. If you just use NI then it will apply that status to both pkgs.” I found this comment in a post on DIAD 6 Tips and Tricks on Reddit. I’m only on my 5th day on DIAD 6 and had this experience yesterday, with the minor distinction that one of the pieces was Access Point eligible. I was totally flummoxed by it and ended up separating it into two separate stops, one a duplicate. Next time, I’ll try this No Person method.

You should have an option for "No Person", it should be number 7. Once you select it you're prompted to mark the release location for the non-sig packages. Same goes for alcohol and above 21, it'll give you a "No Adult" option.

But if you want to do one at a time, which would be a waste of time, mark as duplicate on the second time

Now we need a video on how to record a pack "poss dmg" or "opened" like before... I have a customer on my route anytime there is the slightest dent on a box he tells me he want it mark as damaged. I would do that but now I don't know how to.

One tip for noise when at a stop to get rid of the annoying hazard light sound I believe you can just turn down bright to dim on dash light adjustment.

Nick Martin, I’m intrigued. I’ve only been on DIAD 6 one week. Encountered this situation yesterday, but the sig required piece was Access Point eligible. It was very frustrating and time wasting. I ended up doing an additional duplicate stop to handle the two different statuses. Could you elaborate on how choosing No Person could streamline the two different statuses into one stop?

1. Select “no person”
2. DIAD will prompt you to select status of remaining packages
3. Choose “Front Door” or wherever you are leaving them.

That could be interpreted as "padding stops" by UPS management though and definitely not how you're "supposed to do it", so I wouldn't recommend doing it that way, but yeah, that's a work around if you don't do it this "proper way". 👍
Should NOT record anything, brother!!!! Why, put your self In a situation to defend yourself , teamsters fight hard for us don’t abuse it, also at my center they would tell you that your stealing company time! You spent 7 min plus some seconds. That could have been a couple deliveries, even if your on your 10min break or lunch break you shall never record it’s UPS policy 😎. Use the method they provided
