    I've commented before, I returned for the third season, peak driver. First year with this diad, and your videos seem to help. The navigation really throws me off and sometimes I find myself just using Google Maps. I've lived in this town for 20 years but still seem to get lost lol. It doesn't help that I'm delivering in a different area every day. A couple days ago I had at least 30 packages if not more with all the same Spa number, so I literally had to sift through them all to set up my next 8 or 10 stops, then go back and do it again when I was done with those. It wasted lots of time. I really like delivering but hate feeling like I'm not being set up for success. Thanks for the great content brother

    I retired just prior to Orion being implemented in our center and have heard nothing but negativity. I had my route down to a science as far as efficiency and working smarter,not harder. The problem with UPS is they’re always trying to reinvent the wheel instead of just improving basic duties. Glad I’m gone.😊

    Thanks for the double-tap and center-on-the-dot tips.
    I tend to use a combination of both list and maps. List view let’s me find multiple addresses that I can deliver with one stop (i.e. I can deliver 2200, 2204, and 2201 Elm Street by parking at 2202). Maps keeps me from doing something stupid like crossing busy streets when I still have packages on this side. In general, I stick to list until it just doesn’t make sense.
    We always get a late start at my center and scramble to get the NDA out. So, I sort by time then run the air. Once that is complete, I go to maps and decide where to resume delivering based upon where I am. It usually makes no sense to go back to the top of the list.

    The map icon is the only way to go for covers and 22:4 drivers just getting thrown on a route you have never been on and going by the regular screen can be down right awful it will bring you into sections 3 or 4 times with miles back and forth but you have to be careful with the map icon to because sometimes the stop looks closer than what it is there may not be a road connecting to the one that seems closer so you have to really look at it

    • @ogboost7610
      @ogboost7610 Год назад +1

      Having to zoom in all the way sometimes to expose all the icons when there are multi stops very close to each other on the street or business park/ strip mall
      If you are checking The list and remember the list then you’ll know the stops are there but when using only the map it’s easy to miss.

    My UPS supervisor wouldn't let me use the maps view. I told her to embrace technology as it provides a visual on both sides of the street instead of scrolling down the list view. That drove me nuts that I couldn't work with the Maps view. I tried her way with the list view but it just confused me even more. I ended up quitting as thr 21 dollars per hour and after taxes and union dues brought take home to only 537 per week as a begi ner package cart driver. The schedule interfered with my parenting time but I was willing to work with it however my parenting schedule and driving schedule just didn't work out.
    I tried to out up with the cons of the job but having ur supervisor talk down to u especially when ur sacrificing time away from my daughter, low pay and to top it off a micromanage supervisor. Smh oh well. I earn more as a medical Courier with much less thT 170 stops per day. I work maybe 6 stops for twice the pay and less headache.
    Don't get me wrong, UPS is a great place to work it just didn't pan out how I hoped and supervisor micromanagement kind of put me over the edge as not worth the hassle. Maybe next season.

    If you want free overtime, go for it. Nothing wrong with it, but ill never understand why people complain when the map function is one tab over.

    That board was a waste of money and resources, if get wet you can’t take the picture, you can’t close a stop become worthless, the old generation board was way better and by the way the allowance is worse and supervisors are worse now because of that thing. In my center loaders don’t load how is supposed to and methods simple don’t work in a package car with 350 pieces. Here in Florida are cutting routes, accidents are increasing because of the pressure that supervisors are adding on top of all the extra overtime, if you file a grievance over that you become a human target.
