My advice is to stay inside the vehicle when looking around a complex for an apartment number because you will be surprise how much time you spent walking around looking for the apartment number(s) without your van on foot. Park absolutely anywhere you are not blocking cars and turn on your emergency lights, so people know its temporary parking. Always use your GPS when trying to find apartments (because apartments such as 100 and 101 are not always next to each other) and if you are trying to go behind a building on foot, most entrances in the middle usually lead to dead ends which are mostly: playgrounds, swimming pools, and patios. Take the far corners around the building and you will mostly find hidden numbers you couldn't see (especially for apartment buildings in corners). Most apartment layouts are usually weird and not straight forward like houses. They like making residents walk all the way around 2 to 3 conglomerate apartments buildings to get to their apartment number... The ones that have 62, 64, 66, 68 have 61, 63, 65, 67 almost always on the direct other side of the building. The most complicated buildings are the ones that have apartment numbers labeled in a triangular conglomerate building: some have 51 54, 57, 60 on one side, then 52, 55, 58, 61 on the other side, and 53, 56, 59, 62 on the other side (all like in a triangular idea from 3 main points). Most residents don't even know the layouts where they live and are mostly useless to ask information about this... The worst part is always trying to gain access inside the apartment vehicle gate which is a nightmare on wasting time. If this is a huge problem, skip it and come back later to it...
My day was lost most because of access problems and the route ping-pong, where the app send you back and forth to addresses verry close that you could've done on 1 single stop. Today I had this complex mini town, a lot of gates and few had the one click code, the other with manual code dint worked at all. Los all my day in that horrible place. Well, now I know if go there again.
Unfortunately all DSP’s don’t pay you for the whole day if you finish early.. that’s why I take my time.. not breaking my back rushing.. Good tips though.
@@Alex-br5ef Another reason I started slowing down, I was told Amazon gives you more stops if you go too fast.. I was getting 190 for a long time. Don’t know how true that is though.
@@adamhartley8862 I just started with Another DSP last week, so I’m in nursery routes doing like 120 or less….. but before that I was going between 160-190
First bag in from left to right, first bag out. That's what we're taught during the training. The seat belt hack sounds helpful, but it's not the proper way to wear it when driving in general. You can get a ticket if pulled over by traffic police. I also suggest using your personal phone in an emergency situation.
You still pull it over your chest your just not latching it every time. Small detail but pays of a lot. And yes I do it at my own safety risk. Only time I don’t do it is on freeway
Good morning Tallahassee here, I don't know if you want to promote not turning off your Prime vehicle, due to the fact that DSPs contract every time you turn on and off your vehicle....😅 Not to mention it doesn't matter if the vehicle is on and your key fob is in your pocket, haven't you ever done the test, next time cut the vehicle on, give a secondary person your fob key and drive off see how far you get😮 You would then realize that as long as the vehicle is on it can travel wherever they go they just can't turn it off because it won't be able to restart without the fob......😢 People are in this the hard way, I learned this by teaching it to others. Seat belts😅 Makes you feel like you're not in the prime vehicles, while in these prime vehicles you are constantly surveillanced by the video's, placing your seatbelt is yes a good trick fast response in and out but also unsafe and still illegal, and the cameras catch every bit of it, so when you get in an accident and you find yourself harmed in a certain way your DSP can choose not to cover you because your seat belt wasn't securely fastened upon you, That's a risk that you take, and that that is also a risk that you place as you speak to your followers. The best way in quickest way that I found... 1. In loadout go ahead and put your first bag in the front of your seat, place a close basket in the passenger seat Hook a seat belt strapped within the bands of the basket to secure it, Play envelopes and small boxes inside of the basket, The big box is within the bag place on the floor of the passenger side door, Now your first bag is ready to go to your first stop You can save 15 to 20 minutes. 2. Sort your truck throughout the day at least three or five times. 3. If you choose to switch your phone instead of using the scanner from your DSP understand also that all these customers will have access to your phone number versus the DSPs, if you're comfortable with knowing that people you don't know will be calling you all types of the night to ask questions about their future packages then go ahead and go that route.... I use my phone as a backup in case the DSP scanner does go down I have a backup but it is the last option. (Trust me when I say customers if they have access to any number doesn't matter if you're on the clock or not they will call you or message you to ask for future references or questioned about their packages) 3. Pin code passwords-on these I'll stay in contact with the customers all day long, I'll tell them that I have left the station and I'm on the way to their city or state, I'll text them This is your Amazon driver I'll be at your location within 30 minutes or an hour depending on how close I am, I set times an appointment with these customers I build relationships. 4. Understand you are your own manager within your vehicle Your Prime vehicle is your office, You are your own secretary, The choices are yours in that day of that day Be strong of your day, treat the customers as your family, text them as often as you can and update them when you're on your way or when you have trouble because they expect and do time great delivery service.
Good video, I’m starting out and nervous about this. I don’t understand what the 3 digits mean on the packaging (9:20 in your video) I was probably told but I can’t remember. Is it the house addresses?? We were taught to put the first deliveries in the front on the van behind drivers seat. I’m trying to get as much information as I can before I actually start.
A HUGE time saver is getting assigned to a CDV. They are the ones with the large passenger sliding door you can leave open. Sure, it only takes a second to open a door, but when you don't have to, an you can just jump in an out an not deal with it, those seconds actually add up quite a bit!
Which dsp you at? They hiring? All I get for finishing early is glorious rescues 😒 try timing up your last stop around your 9th hour for those who don’t get paid out for the whole day with an early finish. Get your own charger, I know most kits come with it but I know I can’t be the only one who gets cords/chargers that don’t work. It’s annoying to get your own but it’s a huge help. LEARN YOUR ROUTE. Probably the biggest tip. Once you’re familiar with it you’ll notice some areas/streets that it has you come back to multiple times throughout the day sometimes. Typically the areas that do this are always the same for me so when i finish a area I check my map view to check the surrounding areas and alot of the time there will be some stops near you that aren’t scheduled till later but I’ve been finishing whole areas first before moving to the next. Empty your tote and keep envelopes and bags up front with you, boxes in the back. Get your envelopes/bags first then boxes since boxes are typically easier to find so I do that last.
I don't think this is a good tip to be honest. To put take off and put on the seatbelt it takes max 4 seconds total. Say you have 180 stops. Thats just 12 minutes. You might shave off a second with the seatbelt trick but thats only a 3 minute time save all day. I'd rather put on the seatbelt cause that tiny little time save is not worth my safety.
thank you. I'm working gig jobs right now while I'm in school before I land my dream job as a construction project manager, and was happy to be making about $150 per peak pay block on DoorDash. I thought driving for a delivery service partner would be potentially more stable for the next month or so, but I'm really hesitant after reading about the insane amount of stops and fast pace they demand. I only do about 15 stops for my DoorDashes during the 2-hour block, and I would get between 130 to $200 on average. I guess that's because I don't pick dashes that are less than $12 usually, if it's really dead, I won't dash at all. but I see Amazon wants their drivers to make a crazy amount of stops! lol And then they want you to go the speed limit and they have cameras and they monitor everything, I read they even monitor the seat belt clicks because their vans are basically Smart cars, they can detect when doors are open, when the engine is on and off, when the seat belts are clicked, the camera can give them further information like if it's being worn properly, etc. it sounds very stressful and I think I would snap! I guess I'll just stick with DoorDashing. I wanted to take some of the heat off of my vehicle but it I should be landing a full-time position soon as a project manager. I don't have that much longer to get out of school😅
@saruki9506 when you get your loading list in the morning after you scan your carts and have your bags loaded, scroll through your oversize list and look at the drive aid LETTER from top to bottom. Group your oversize by letter with the letters that appear first toward the front of the van and the letters that appear last toward the back of the van. That will be the order they are delivered. Just be mindful of the order that the letters appear because it won’t always go in order. The letters will look like 1A, 2A, 1B, 2B, etc. you don’t have to worry about the number until you’re an expert, just group them by letter as they appear on your packing list from front to back you’ll never have to dig in the back of the van, you’ll just naturally work through the pile. also, if the piles somehow don’t get loaded in order but they’re still grouped by letter, you can always refer to the driver aid stickers from packages on your current tote. Those letter will always match the ones of the oversize you’re looking for (because those oversize packages are linked to the tote they’re technically “supposed” to be in, they’re just too big to fit! Lol) goodluck! 👍🏼
I just try to stack them in the back so I can see all the labels. If you have over 30 it's a little more difficult but once you eat through a few you get to the point where you can see all the labels again.
This dude bouta have hella ppl fired quickly… don’t listen to him. First they have EOC which is engine off compliance. This tracks daily and shows the percentage in which the van was actually powered on and off at each stop.Second there is a camera system called netradyne which is going to easily snitch you out with plugging in your seatbelt behind you. I can continue with all the flaws in his system but hopefully you get the just of it. 👍🏽 best of luck
@@762ghostI have seen so many people get fired for this. They all think they can get away with it. Most DSPs won't put up with it. There are a couple that will let it slide, unless Amazon themselves get involved.
Lol the seatbelt part lol our DSP told us if they see us doing that you could get terminated right away . Also parking in a handicap spot lol and if you don't fill up with gas or leave your van dirt it also can lead up too a write up . My DSP dose not mess around
All you gotta do is separate all your boxes and envelopes and put them upfront and once you you drop off your current order look for your next items before going to your next stop unless it’s close but the only way to finish early is to hustle lol but I understand some people have issues
Some people are slow navigators others are physically weaker, slow driving etc. Im pretty new and doing barely decent my problem is keeping the momentum but slowly improving.
My dsp were worried from the first day of work that am not fast enough for the job and they fired me after the 2 nd week of work i don’t know if this is normal , i mean Iam still in the training process.
In the uk it’s illegal to just leave your engine running. Health and safety is actually important due to if the vehicle moves due to the engine being on and then other mistakes happen like accelerator accidents
crazy thing is i do sll of this and still feels like im slow and get anywhere from 158-171 stops i finish anytime from 7-8 i feel like im just a slow person 😢my size prolly doesn’t help (im petite 5’4 nd ,21)
In The USPS they have a cute Rule called The 701 Rule. If they catch you finishing early they count the whole Station and add an hour to your route! So listen up! Never do them any favors! Never suggest Anything at all! Slow The F*ck down! YOU HIRED ON TO HELP NOT DO IT ALL! You will not be promoted to Supervisor for doing a good job! Wake up
I'm in my second week and they are already pressuring me cuz I've "been rescued every day" but i literally just finished my first week. Like, I don't get it . Why r they pressuring me and warning me like this ? I want to do well , but I feel like they are being rediculous. I just started .
I understand it could be stressful especially when your just getting started. Do your best to improve day by day and you will be ok :) it only gets better with time as long as you are improving
Yeah as long as you aren’t purposely stopping and waiting to deliver packages you should be good because just like every one else, people want to go home that could be the reason why your getting rescued a lot. But you’ll get the hang of things
You're packages are slowly creeping up because you won't take your breaks, if you are finishing early without taking your break amazon gives you more packages thinking you took your break and you're just fast so they think you can handle more packages but it's too late for you now you already screwed yourself.
I love to drive, so why rush, take my times do the work until all the packages delivered. Then go home. If you're in this, it is going to be years, and years down the road.😅
You trying to finish your route as fast as possible, while amazon makes billions. You paid more in taxes than amazon did. I still love amazon but do not run your self crazy thinking amazon cares about you.
Depends on DSP mine makes me do rescues and on my on call days they’ll call me but don’t really need me the bullshavix is having me as a sweeper rescuing way to early in the day
Don’t use your personal phone. Keep it charged for emergency. Deliver your first stop then go airplane mode so you don’t lag and can change delivery point easy and fast. Go out of airplane mode every hour or so so it updates to dispatch, then go back in. Make sure you’re off before you get back
Mydsp does not pay for the whole day if you finish early not only that but we can't use our own phones it's a special app that's downloaded on their phones that you can't get with your phone
Yeah you can tell you’re new, number one you’re supposed to turn your van off 80% of your stops. Number two using your own phone is a horrible idea you notice your phone battery will die a lot faster than those Motorola phones and you know why your phone is laggy? Because you didn’t update your flex app when you started out the day. I’ve been doing this since October 2019, and this is sone pretty bad advice. What will make you move faster is making a routine that works best for you put your packages in order by the sticker number making it easier to find, and here’s a TIP for you on the way to your first stop have your work phone plugged in all the way to your first stop which will help keep your work phone from dying. The faster you go the faster your work phone dies why? Because you’re constantly using your phone.
I always get 190 stops with like 330 something packages pure houses sometimes apartments but easy ones though that’s the good thing here in Buena Park CA
1 things 1 no seat belt it's better because you can jump faster from the car befour fully breacking 2 what did you say o yeah wait your Amazon prime for shore after the car your using im at a secondary helper we have smoler vens but the same amount of clients and no on my rout im loky to have 5 clients on 1 street I do around 8-12 viliges per day
Yes! They definitely count clicks. Before I was fired, I was called in the office once and told I was bringing down the Team Score. Major reason was seatbelt clicks. 3 -4 clicks on a 145 stop route. And I tried the hack 🤦🏾
My First DAY I got send Down Town With all apartment stops with narrow streets so you cant double park. Trainer showed up 2hrs later for 30 min and left. Is this normal?
What’s the point of getting done early? It’s not like most DSP send you home. They always send you wanna rescue. At least on my DSP. That’s why there’s no point in finishing before 7 o’clock.
“You can leave early if you finish early” “You can get paid for the full day” baby girl, that’s different for every dsp 😂😂😂 i was hourly and even when i finished early or on time i’d rescue atleast 1 person every single day. Was not fun. Edit: it sounds like you might be misinformed
My DSP is like yours, I get paid for the whole day and get to go home without doing rescues every day 😇 love the tips, I'm on my first month trying to figure out how the veteran drivers do 200 in the time I do 160-70 😵
0:27 it's a lie I work at amazon ges what I finished at 19 and I was sent rescue and I had to take anather 40 clients I worked till 21:30 than I went home and some mdf broke my window on the highway I had to wait even more in the end I ended up at 1:00 in the morning at home 190 stops 245 clients 300 colets every day no breack and work like creazy if I dare to finish befour 9 they send me Rescue I was rescue for 4 days now this weak I'm dead tired fisicle not mentaly and I hed 2 crashes because of been places on the run 16hours every day
There is no such thing in my DSP. If you finish early, you will get less money and the next working day you will get more work, and if you finish early then you will get less money and more work...
I go fast to get off before dark….every time get sent for rescues. Great advice but I believe you are wrong about scanning to door. That effects your metric bad
These are the worse tips I’ve heard bruh, use your own phone? “ choose “ the push start van? The seatbelt one lmfao, you’re setting people up for failure brother, the package set up is what saves you time! None of this BS does
So, "Hey guys it's my second week working at Amazon delivery." (And you're already on here trying to give tips? Yeah, thanks I'll pass an look for someone that's been on the job for more than a year or so. THOSE are the kinds of guys you want tips from. Not a new person. lol. Wow.
Another tip take your breaks because if you finish to quickly Amazon will just keep adding stops on your routes
Finish fast just for dispatch to call you to rescue someone else that’s taking their time 😆 No thanks
Every day and get mad when u say “no”
My DSP pays you a bonus “bump” for accepting to go Rescue someone + you still get the full hourly.
Yeah this is what I figured out. I rushed and skipped payed breaks just to do rescues.

Question, How do you organize the random U45, U79, numbers with the 9293, 9294 and 9295?
That seatbelt hack is 🔥🔥 fire
🔥🔥🔥
Will I get in trouble for the seatbelt hack I’m a new driver 🤔
@@762ghostyes. Terrible idea.
@@762ghostI have seen so many people get fired for this. They all think they can get away with it. Most DSPs won't put up with it. There are a couple that will let it slide, unless Amazon themselves get involved.
You forgot to add the letter d after fire . My DSP will do that to you when they find out
Lol the seatbelt part lol our DSP told us if they see us doing that you could get terminated right away . Also parking in a handicap spot lol and if you don't fill up with gas or leave your van dirt it also can lead up too a write up . My DSP dose not mess around
I would quit
All you gotta do is separate all your boxes and envelopes and put them upfront and once you you drop off your current order look for your next items before going to your next stop unless it’s close but the only way to finish early is to hustle lol but I understand some people have issues
Some people are slow navigators others are physically weaker, slow driving etc. Im pretty new and doing barely decent my problem is keeping the momentum but slowly improving.
@@Fried-PaPi my only problem is that we take a while to load since we wait for everyone and expect to finish by 7:30 lol
We have to shut and lock car doors and turn the engine off at every stop
True but I actually don’t do that 😂. Saves me time
At my DSP it's a huge violation leave the engine on or doors not locked. I did today but was quick stop at residences. It saves some time.
My dsp were worried from the first day of work that am not fast enough for the job and they fired me after the 2 nd week of work i don’t know if this is normal , i mean Iam still in the training process.
I just started it’s my second day I think my DSP pays you by the hour even if you finish early but I’m not entirely sure
They pay you for the full day even if you finish early
@@montrealdriver Unfortunately they pay me for the hour I put in the ADP app
True
In the uk it’s illegal to just leave your engine running. Health and safety is actually important due to if the vehicle moves due to the engine being on and then other mistakes happen like accelerator accidents
I do all of this except the seat belt tip. They don’t give me my full time hours and they keep putting me on standby for weird reasons
crazy thing is i do sll of this and still feels like im slow and get anywhere from 158-171 stops i finish anytime from 7-8 i feel like im just a slow person 😢my size prolly doesn’t help (im petite 5’4 nd ,21)
Interesting tips. I’ve pretty much did what you described in the beginning, and as a result, I got released on my first day. It’s unfortunate.
Can you even lift a 2lb dumbbell ? 😅
What did you do 😂
Yo, l hope you're playing bc you got me dying laughing rn 😂😂😂
@@angelawilson1633 Same, bro reply is so cordial too which makes it funnier. 😂
What… how..?
Let them know you're trying your best and you know there is room for improvement and ask them for tips on how to improve.
Yeah as long as you aren’t purposely stopping and waiting to deliver packages you should be good because just like every one else, people want to go home that could be the reason why your getting rescued a lot. But you’ll get the hang of things
Tried leaving early I get hit with rescues. They pay by the hour with most DSP
Soooo. Finish early so Amazon algo can give you more work and most dispatchers wont increase your pay?
@Jonny AND that warped ideology is why Amazon dodges every union attempt and continues malicious labor practices.
I used the seatbelt thing today (Brissie Aus) and it worked a treat!
It's not worth it. Trust me.
Bro I respect your tips. But rookie drivers always get easy routes. Once you become a 5 o clock driver your stops and pack amounts slowly creep up
You're packages are slowly creeping up because you won't take your breaks, if you are finishing early without taking your break amazon gives you more packages thinking you took your break and you're just fast so they think you can handle more packages but it's too late for you now you already screwed yourself.
@@alidyaeh is that true? so if i start taking breaks and finishing late will they lower the stops in the future?
I love to drive, so why rush, take my times do the work until all the packages delivered. Then go home. If you're in this, it is going to be years, and years down the road.😅
You trying to finish your route as fast as possible, while amazon makes billions. You paid more in taxes than amazon did. I still love amazon but do not run your self crazy thinking amazon cares about you.
You try to finish as fast as possible to go home early lol I do it every time I go to work
THE PROBLEM IS THE DSPS WILL CUT YOUR DAYS IF YOU TAKE LONG. THEY ARE EVIL.
@@jonny_laguna AGAIN I AM CORRECT.
I thought you got tricks. But it's your second week..... C mon mate!!
Do u use google maps to locate?
And do you still work for amzon and what are you tips and tricks now ?
You can leave early & get paid for the day whole day.
That’s sweet!
Make sure you’re off before you get back
Will navigation still work
Yes, navigation still works. The problem with all these Amazon tips is that most are DSP specific.
how do you go to the bathroom during the day?? DO you stop at a gas station?
The have a bathroom in the van.
Mydsp does not pay for the whole day if you finish early not only that but we can't use our own phones it's a special app that's downloaded on their phones that you can't get with your phone
Don't listen to this guy. He's still learning
When I finish early I go home with watever hours I worked like 6 or 7 how come u still get payed the full day?
I also even try and work slower wen they rescue me and take all my shit almost cause then I’m not even making hours
Advice is to stay out for the full 12 hours so you get ot
That sounds like #1
Our dsp told us not to put packages in the front seat
Let it idle you'll save so much time left it's really hot and really cold you don't need to deal with it
What dsp do you work for , I’m thinking of changing mine cuz they’re shitty? Thank you
THEY ALL ARE GARBAGE.
Awesome advice🤘
I hang my key on my name tag lanyard so I don't have to dig in my pockets to find it.
I'm going to start using that seatbelt trick because I usually do 186 stops a day
Wow thats a lot of stops. What city are you in?
i always get around 185 - 200 stops here in idaho
I always get 190 stops with like 330 something packages pure houses sometimes apartments but easy ones though that’s the good thing here in Buena Park CA
my seatbelt and ignition compliance are the same. 160-180 stops with 50 groupstops a day. im just quick with my hands to all of those things.
With group stops, im doing 250 stops only making 18.25/hr. All bad!
16 “boxes” on my first day 160 stops 225 packages. Sorry but we don’t have someone for a ride along.
I wish I worked with this guy on my team in LA.
I wish i lived in LA 👊
I WORK IN L.A. DSP. I'M SLOW ASF😀
@@mannyeldude4083 😂 this made me laugh out loud
Me too
1 things 1 no seat belt it's better because you can jump faster from the car befour fully breacking 2 what did you say o yeah wait your Amazon prime for shore after the car your using im at a secondary helper we have smoler vens but the same amount of clients and no on my rout im loky to have 5 clients on 1 street I do around 8-12 viliges per day
Don't use your phone because you breack your battery in the long run the app eats allot of energy and you have to charge it all the time
Thats why find seat belts snapped up on driver's side.
Seatbelt trick isn’t guaranteed with Driver-i
not true, my dsp only pays the hours that we work. so it def depends which dsp you work with.
THAT'S BETTER BECAUSE THEY WON'T CUT YOUR DAYS.
@@mannyeldude4083 they still cut our days lol
@@paolarodriguez3963 I SAY 50% DISPATCHERS AND 50% AMAZONS FAULT.
Don't they count seatbelt clicks?
Like if you have 120 stops they count 120 clicks. Idk maybe a myth to make sure we properly wear seatbelts lol
Never heard of that. Maybe with the newer vans im not sure
My DSP owner said they check.
Yes! They definitely count clicks. Before I was fired, I was called in the office once and told I was bringing down the Team Score. Major reason was seatbelt clicks. 3 -4 clicks on a 145 stop route. And I tried the hack 🤦🏾
They do check it. They want 150 clicks for 150 stops.
@@chuzyrecona483 bro they dont count the clicks
I do 320 parcels a day and 182 stops slave labour 😢
My First DAY I got send Down Town With all apartment stops with narrow streets so you cant double park. Trainer showed up 2hrs later for 30 min and left. Is this normal?
Bruh I had the shittest first day imaginable
What’s the point of getting done early? It’s not like most DSP send you home. They always send you wanna rescue. At least on my DSP. That’s why there’s no point in finishing before 7 o’clock.
Put over flow i back along back door. Write last two number of the drivers aid on top and side. Easy to find that way…..
“You can leave early if you finish early” “You can get paid for the full day” baby girl, that’s different for every dsp 😂😂😂 i was hourly and even when i finished early or on time i’d rescue atleast 1 person every single day. Was not fun. Edit: it sounds like you might be misinformed
Do i look like a baby girl to u 😂😂😂
@@montrealdriver don’t take it personal, everyone is baby girl to me
Depends on DSP.
My DSP is like yours, I get paid for the whole day and get to go home without doing rescues every day 😇 love the tips, I'm on my first month trying to figure out how the veteran drivers do 200 in the time I do 160-70 😵
@@mkloven101yo ☠️☠️☠️☠️ sounding like a Texas born Grandma 😂

The quicker you get done the more they will pile on you the 'next day', no?
My dsp pays 1300 a week
Our company dont pay you if your done early most of our team will rescue another driver for more time.
What DSP does he work for lol. Nothing ever works at Amazon.
Not jogging
Bro stop pacing you’re making me dizzy wtf lol
😂 my bad
There is no such thing in my DSP. If you finish early, you will get less money and the next working day you will get more work, and if you finish early then you will get less money and more work...
I go fast to get off before dark….every time get sent for rescues. Great advice but I believe you are wrong about scanning to door. That effects your metric bad
Van must be shut off. Keys out.
You finish early you will be rescuing 😂
Tips and tricks after 2 weeks…..???????
Seat belt??? WRONG!!!
Can you sit still bro.... Lol
Best tip: Find another job.
you wasted my 13 min brother the tips you gave a kid will also do that without any advice from any one because its common sense
