I may contact you about this. I only have an associates degree but I am white and born and raised in the United States. I've always been told I'm not able to get a job teaching English because I don't have a bachelor's but if you are saying that's not necessarily the case then I'm definitely interested.
I was looking for a way to get to Vietnam last year Minus a Degree, but I found it so difficult to find anyone who could help me and I was told that if I did get a job teaching English then if anything went wrong, your wages etc etc could be withheld, still tempted to go, I'm in Japan at the moment and met some foreigners in Japan who said that they had spent 10 years in Vietnam and moved to Japan,, Japan is very clean and safe they said
I can help you in Vietnam. We have a service. Feel free to pm me. It's definitely possible without a degree. The difficulty is around the worl permits but it's who you know.
@@rebornabroadI’m a 52 year old American. I traveled all around Vietnam for 3 months in 2006 and I fell in love with the country. I plan on coming back very soon and renting out my condo. I plan to renew my 90 day tourist visa multiple times until they kick me out lol. I never finished my bachelor’s but is it really possible to get a part time teaching job? I’ll already have supplemental income so I’d work for low American wages. Thanks !
@@rebornabroad I have a degree, and I just got my passport brand new. Out here in California, we can't buy a dog house for less than $300 K . lol. So I often think about teaching overseas.
You're right. In China you could be thrown in jail. A co-worker got put in jail for almost a month because his UK passport was expired. Then he was banned for ever returning to China. His Chinese girlfriend was crushed. She cried every day. That's not the worst of it. They also seized his bank account. I don't know how much he had but now he has nothing. I did a year contract in Shenzhen. I'm glad I have the experience but I don't plan on going back again.
💯 agree I am not at all interested in returning to China. We have contacts there and can get jobs for but I generally recommend Vietnam over China to anyone who asks. Even with the changes in Vietnam its still nothing like that.
Da Nang is the most competitive place in Vietnam, and locals don't earn much. If you want to support yourself, teaching Saigon, Hanoi, and provinces are better. If you'd like some help getting reliable employment, we have a consulting service for prospective teachers to reach me on the fb fan page of that's of value.

@dannybee6677 Vietnam is a good life, but owning is messy. I'd suggest making money in Vietnam and own in Cambodia or Thailand.
