If u want to see biggest Tibetan settlement than go to bylakuppe which is biggest settlement n also in mundgod both the places r in Karnataka state.
6:24 Most refugee groups in India are not given land, luckily Tibetans have the his Holiness the Dalai Lama who was good friends with Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India after Indian independence. Due to their friendship, you can find many Tibetan settlements all around India. In the south alone, you have Bylakuppe, Mundgod, Hunsur, Kollegal.
4:11 they are called camps because when Tibetans first settled there, it was all forests and camps of tents. The Indian government graciously gave us free basic houses but the name of camps stuck around. Tibetans started moving abroad and sending money back home so they were able to build new houses❤
C’est un bon vidéo 🙏
tibetan settlement also there in South sikkim Ravangla

Great video 📹
Looks amazing
We enjoyed our time in Sikkim
Really interesting place 👌
No doubt
Very cool 😎
Thanks Unk!
What I love about this Gangtok place is that you can walk through the streets and the markets and not be crowded in.
Yes, and it's very safe and clean as well.
I’ve only been to India once and it was in Jaipur that is stayed for like 12 days. I went to source a sterling silver wholesaler in like 2009 or 2010. It took forever to find a local who was the real deal.
I can imagine up in Sikkim it's a very different culture much more like Tibet than like Rajasthan. May as well be different countries
Char GBT says this: Yes, Gangtok is in India. It is the capital of the northeastern state of Sikkim, which is located in the Himalayan mountains. Sikkim shares borders with Bhutan, Tibet, and Nepal. Gangtok is known for its beautiful landscapes, monasteries, and as a gateway to various treks and scenic spots in the Himalayas.
It's also 💯 organic by law. So the food is very clean. Hygiene is better than other parts of India also. It's a really unique place feel very fortunate to have had time here.

Are u in India or China?
India but very near to occupied Tibet
If unused Chat GBT u can take a picture and upload to chat GBT and it will tell u what the vegetables are. I even put a picture of a watermelon an had chat GBT tell me on a scale of 1-10 how good it is.
Thanks that's really interesting
You need Tibetan guide ,more information.
Not really it's a day trip to a Tibetan settlement. Nothing more nothing less.
places to visit in sikkim : - tsomgo lake , nathula pass, gurudongmar lake, yumthang valley, rumtek monastery, cholamu lake, dzongu, yume samdong ,buddha park and many more bro
🙏🏻 thank you, our local friends took us to a few spots more to come, dont worry. We have a lot of videos to still make
As an indian we are our tibetan brothers bro ,they are now our part ❤❤ They are most peaceful community that the world deserves ❤❤
They were really good people when I was in Sikkim. All the best restaurants and cafes are Tibetan owned. I still feel bad for them. Years in Asia I have seen what China does.
@@rebornabroad bro Chinese PPL are also so good ,they respect us a lot they are also like us we do not hate them at all ,it's their governments mindset to expand its border as much as it can ,they have conflict with everyone Japan south korea india hong Kong Taiwan all asean countries
FUCK YOU FOR LOOKING DOWN ON SOUTH AFRICAN TEACHERS!! WE TAKE HALF THE PAY AND DO TWICE THE WORK YOU DO!! ALSO WE ARE NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS AND MANY PARTS OF SOUTH AFRICA ARE MORE DEVELOPED THAN A LOT OF PARTS OF THE US I'VE BEEN TO!! YOU FUCKING AMERICANS ARE SNOBS!! DON'T HIRE THESE ASSHOLES ANYMORE!!
In 1959 after the fall of Tibet, Dalai Lama and 80,000+ Tibetan fled Tibet. Most of these Tibetans were from the region bordering India, Nepal and Bhutan. Karnataka was the first state to take in Tibetan when Indian PM Nehru made request to all states to settle Tibetan refugees in 1959.
I love that Indian took them in and helped them. Allowed the Dalai Lama to have capital in exile. I have lived in Southeast Asia a long time and am very aware of what China does to countries it wishes to absorb into its empire. I spent a fair s month of time on Sikkim, and i am really glad for them that they are a part of India. At least they have the freedom to live according to their culture and beliefs. It's very sad the whole situation with occupied Tibet
23:43 The present wealth of Tibetan in India comes from the remmittance of their family members living in West of primarily from US, Canada. So many Tibetans have immigrated to US since 1992. Another ibteresting fact is that most of the monks in Tibetan monasteries in India and Nepal are not Tibetan. They are mostly Indian and Nepali who prior to 1959 used to come to Tibet to study Buddhist philosophy. Tibetans have sucessfully re-established these monastic teaching centers. Until 2008 lots of Tibetan from Tibet come to study in India. But following massive protest all over Tibet during 2008 Beijing Olympic the border has been strictly patrolled so Tibetan cannot sneak out.
Makes sense send money home and build the community.
Bylakuppe is not in Coorg bu Mysore distt. It us just on the border. Kushalnager is in Coorg or Kodagu. The river Cauvery is the border.
Interesting, my local friend didn't tell me that. I spent most of my time in the region in Mysore
Playing "Devil's Advocate" as a retiree you must consider that this is one of the hottest parts of all of SEA and if you have any chronic health issues, particularly if you need specialty care, you are not going to have easy access to the health care that you will require. When you have that trauma accident, that heart attack, that stroke, that pulmonary embolism etc., etc. you're not going to be able to jump on a plane to Bangkok for comprehensive care. Just say'in. 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♀🤷♀
Yes, but I also know some clients who because living costs are so low eat healthy orangic food. Get several massages a week and have a healthier lifestyle than they might have elsewhere. I do agree with you though Bangkok and even Vietnam has better health care. To me its one of the key things Cambodia needs to improve.
Now I know these foreigners teachers are scary not as we expected🫨 I heard the word “money” every second😤 They also talk shit about our kids. Instead of finding a way to guide our kids they said “our kids are far behind” it’s the reason we send them to ur school. They don’t deserve to be a Teacher and teaching our kids. Get out! We don’t need you hungry evil.
plz don't show eating Beef in India. people sentiments gets Hurts, Like Mine. otherwise I Really Appreciate Your Content.
@killerwhale49 I don't eat meat. The other guy is local. I'm pretty sure he is also hindu, and I don't control what he does or doesn't do. I personally don't eat any meat other than fish and eggs. No chicken, no pork, and no beef
Its not beef.... Its buffalo meat...
Always tell exact things..
Not all of India don’t eat beef. So, perhaps @killerwhale49 should take that into consideration and not place his biases on others. Try to become opened my friend. That’s the problem in India. The huge majority are Hindus but they feel no one else should eat beef because they don’t. Well, the others are Indians as well of various religions and should be respected for what they choose to eat. That’s how people of different religions can live side by side and don’t be narrow minded.
Rock on
Respect
I’m from Bangalore , may suggest a hair transplant package for you in Turkey? $15k package ….also Goa is better than Kerala
I heard mixed opinions on goa vs. Kerala. I am ok on a high transplant. If I did want to do it, I would do it in Thailand
finally someone that decided not to take a tour of the slums and took a trip to some decent places in the country, kudos i also recommend a few amazing places chandigarh, indore, leh, ladakh, ooty, kodaikanal, bodinayakannur, kedarnath, shimla, darjeeling, hampi
I was in Mysore a few months ago, and I went to Sikkim. I spent a few months up there also. I was teaching Brazilian Jiu-jitsu sound india. I will definitely return.

Yes it was
Looks amazing
Coorg is definitely amazing
Hey friend, why do you use so much foul language, it's offensive to many people 😮
Because I am not fake. They can cry if they'd like, but anyone who is offended by curses words and not by the millions of other problems the world faces is a clown with bad priorities
Couldn't you find someone who spoke English?
He speaks English but obviously with an accent. The more important thing is that he is trustworthy and that he doesn't grow on trees here. Also, English in general isn't as well spoken here as in the Philippines or Cambodia.
Good Knowledge much appreciated. Loving the honesty
🙏🏻 thanks for watching 👀 feel free to pm if you're interested in working with us to get set up in Vietnam. Can reach me in any of the contact information in the description below

*masters degree from the US and ended up teaching English in Cambodia.. you're for sure a winner. NOT!*
He likes it there. I don't see the problem. He could go to China but prefers the laid-back Cambodia life.
Nice job
Thanks uncle!
I don’t think a lot of what the white guy is saying about VN culture is true.
We try and keep it real and based in reality I built my brand around telling people the good and bad. So they can make the right choices for themselves. Teaching in Vietnam is 💯 about making people like you and how you look. You are either lying or pushing a native to not admit that.
I immigrated from Saigon to Baltimore.
That's interesting. Why did you choose Baltimore?
Can someone warn this brotha about what he’s getting himself into.
He is doing pretty well. I don't think he needs a warning. He is popular with the employer and the schools. He has a good attitude. I think he could be successful at anything he does.
@@rebornabroad Is He doing as good as that guy you roped into moving to saigon a few years ago and investing some money into some bs restaurant? Who's willing to bet that a few minutes after I reply to this you run to that little group of yours to get people to reply to me and talk about how great you are and you aren't scamming people selling them fools gold? In a few months the brotha in that video will "get" it. And you wont post anything else about him again and run through a few more videos hyping places where people can say "Hey I'm an expat."
I live in new zealand for 10 years and finally live in south korea , who the heck would pay a 600K for a house made out of woods hell nah.
Totally agree, nz is like the rest of the West trying to keep its people down and competing with the whole world for housing
Vietnam is Buddhism country so vegan foods is available You just see restaurants with “CHAY” it means VEGAN. Quán chay (smaller shop/family shop, street vendors foods, vegans foods) Nhà hàng chay (restaurant vegan) Cơm chay (rice vegan) WHATEVER WITH “CHAY” you know it have vegan foods, just remember this
Yes, I am well aware I speak Vietnamese at a basic level but enough to bet around.
Hi! I was wondering what is the right word for vegetarian, if CHAY means vegan
I love com chay ❤
Another happy customer 🎉 thanks for coming on the show to talk about your experience
