I very sorry about the horrible audio quality in this video. it were some rough technical mistakes of me when I made the convertation nearly 2 years ago. From "Live in Boston" DVD-CD edition.
I am an old lady, 74 years old, and I LOVE this group. Am sitting in the hospital, and listening to Gypsy brings me great comfort. Thank you so much for the memories, and for making new ones.
Get Better. May you feel better, Carol. I feel the same way about the musical magic of Fleetwood Mac. God bless you and have a beautiful recovery. Angels are at your side.
Pls get well soon! You are a treasure listening to Gypsy while in the hospital. I spent 12 weeks in the hospital. But I will remember to listen next time!!
This song has always had a special place, in my heart… Even so many years later, it still can put tears in my eyes, and a smile on my lips. There will never be another Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham
This song really highlights how much Stevie and Lindsey are one. Nothing or anyone can even come close to touching the magic of the sweet music they make together. Soulmates forever.
I love love love Ann Wilson but i love love love love love Stevie! 2 remarkable women who send shivers up and down my spine everytime I hear their voices! There will never be another Stevie or Ann! Thanks for the both of them! Their talents have provided life long memories!

+Mr. Jensen Ya'll need to see him do Never Going Back and a couple of others, in person. Last year he played for about 15 minutes, no joke, while the rest of the band took a break at their 3rd concert in their new tour. I was just standing there with my mouth hanging open at the talent. It was almost insane how good he is.
I'm a guitar player and have been for 15 years and I consider myself a pretty talented guitarist and I STILL struggle playing Never Going Back Again on acoustic. Lindsey can nail every note in his sleep. Amazing!
Its Mothers Day 2022 and listening to Stevie. As a teen I would dress like her. Everyone thought i was creepy. Ill be 50 soon n im still looking for boots like hers. I ❤ you Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. Yes their songs are so comforting..
Awww, it's crazy how I'm scrolling down and I see this comment on Mother's Day 2024! 😂💐I'm 57, and I too, wanted to dress like her , I'm such an old soul, and this song just spoke to me! Speaking of comforting, that is the best way to describe their music, it's like a warm blanket rewatching these old videos and live performances. Wow . Playing this song live with that unique style of Buckingham...just incredible and truly HARD , but so beautiful, damn, that is talent indeed !!!!!
At the one minute mark, I just love Lyndsey's guitar part. Seems like nobody can duplicate that sound when I listen to other versions of this song . Just love it
Stevie Nicks - wonderful - her voice - unique. Lindsay Buckingham - absolutely fabulous. Seeing and hearing him play the guitar is the reason I repeatedly watch this video. Thanks for uploading.
This version is indeed awesome! Hearing Lindsay Buckingham compliment Stevie on vocals is truly what makes this video/version a true gem. Lindsay has an awesome set of pipes too - not to mention he's a guitar god!
Very unique voice, captivating, not the best, simply different. Rough smooth, beautifully delivered, full of character, just a fantastic combination with the band .
I have never felt so friking strong in agreement with the simple thumbs up when listening to and reading the comments with Stevie, Lindsey and the rest of the band. Mick Fleetwood is a GENIUS for recognizing what they could bring together. Lindsey is also a genius, possibly the next level of a genius for making this all come together as the producer. Love everything they do!!
+Carey Feazel I like that riff bit in it. I don't know what it's called technically like rain drops. ping ping ping lol. Carol King had it in It Might As Well Rain Until September. But it goes on throughout Gypsy, sorry I love music but haven't a clue about arrangements or stuff.
Carey Feazel Oh I wish I could paint, I think of that as magic, I just paid a lot of money for a portrait of my German Shepherd (the one in my avatar) who died. God I loved that dog so much! But I agree with you sometimes music just hits you in some way that we can't put a finger on why?
One of those bands that really made me understand that music is more than listening to one song...i started listening to whole albums from the various musicians and bands that i like and realized how some were lucky one-hit-wonder and others had a solid discography with strong songs on each album.
My favorite Fleetwood Mac song of all time. It tells the story of Stevie Nicks early in her career when she was struggling both professionally and spiritually . Anyone that knows her at all knows how important this song is to her.
This song is about what things in life that came on our path that took who we once were & the crime of taking from others to replace the things we cannot by taking. Awareness. A memory of who we once were & fate of what we ended up becoming. Gypsies take the children & life givers. So mythical but it's incite & wisdom & depth of the soul. Stevie is a wise woman who unites the world in her song. It trips every one of us. And Lindsey oh the guitar same thing. And Christie an Angel now & the happy light of Mick. ❤
"back to the Gypsy that i was" that line makes me tear up every time, i feel that in my soul. its a metaphor for everything you ever were when you were young and you felt free and your whole life was still ahead of you, and its the longing for those days, just that dream to escape when you are somewhere where you are feeling trapped or caged and you just wish you could have one last taste of that freedom and those daydreams of youth.
And it so wonderful that there are people with the capacity to get together again even though they had times of disagreements and quarrels to recreate dreams and memories for the rest of us, that is big.
I somewhat disagree. At the 1:27.. In the original recording, she loudly hits the “ooohh and it lights up the niiighhtt.” Don’t know if she can do it anymore. But for the most part.. you’re right!
Thank you forever, Stevie !!! I heard this song since I was a girl... now all of us are getting old, it is a powerful an inspirational song, thank you for sing for us
I have to believe Stevie welcomes all listeners unconditionally,Especially those who are discovering her Art for the first time,. To all who may not profess a higher understanding of how it is done? Who cares, your appreciation of her works is ALL that matters.
I am a high school senior about to graduate...heard the first few seconds of this for the first time last week and knew it would be a masterpiece, and I was right. This song makes me feel so emotional for some reason. I'm scared for the future and leaving my friends and family, but that's just a part of life. I know I'll be okay :)
Fleetwood are nothing without Lynsey Buckingham. For me he is the greatest of all the rock singer/musicians. Writes great songs, magical guitarist, sings fantastic, great performer, and adapted his personal look over the decades to suit the era. The complete artist.
Music like this is timeless , just a great peace of art that we are fortunate enough to have, Growing up I was never exposed to music like this , coming from Latin parents this really wasn’t in there agenda, but with time n the love of growing up in America and experiencing new things and the MUSIC that I was never around really changed me n fell in love with it , now I am 28 with two bbys n I just can’t wait to show my kids the love for music and the different kind of it , something I had to figure out my self but my kids won’t have to because I am dying to show them ;Do the Gypsy 🙌🏼

Ok, let’s face it. If you a parent of grown children & ur kids love these guys , even saw them in concert, unfortunately haven’t ( yet), YOU KNOW these guys are timeless , magical and just nail it every time!!!!!
I had heard the song Gypsy on the radio for the first time in 1982 and I didn't like it. Then a few years later I was given a ticket to go see Stevie nicks performing live at the Nassau Coliseum. Expecting not much just going because I was bored, as soon as Stevie got on stage and began to sing Gypsy I was beside myself. She captivated me in such a way that I never wanted her to stop singing any of her songs . Every song She Sang was 👍 great💯🎶💯. Watching Stevie Nicks gestures and movements as she sang left me 🌹 in awe of her performance as I just continued to listen to a this Superstar🎶🌹n watching her sing was for me a a once in a lifetime experience 🌹 for me as it wast so raw n real and I know I will never hear a woman as good as her perform in front of me on a stage like Stevie Nicks again 🌹 Stevie you are great as a live performer and I am now a devoted fan of yours 🎶💯🎶 thank you for that great experience which I will never forget🎶💯🎶🌹
+TheSeeker1960 if he is the leader why is the band called Fleetwood mac and the pathetic drummer is always the one called the leader but I fully know Buckingham is the talent in this group
+Mike Caldwell What is pathetic about the (drummer)? The Stones kept the same name with many band mate changes. The Mac isn't the Stones, different type of band all together. But who really cares as long as the music is good.
TheSeeker1960 as a drummer, i call mick Fleetwood pathetic because I know he plays kindergarden paradiddles and is as simple a drummer as you can get. If I am right, he probably contributes nothing as far as writing the songs, melody lines, lyrics,... so in my book for him to be the leader and have the name after him is absurd
+Mike Caldwell He keeps the beat, the enthusiasm and he was the original that formed FleetwoodMac along with Peter Green and John McVie. They kept the name when Welch joined the band so why not when Nicks and Buchingham joined?
This performance is brilliant. Everyone on that stage, including backing singers and acoustic behind Stevie, adds something and musicality is so tight. I'm a very late comer to the FM party but I've played this about a gazillion times now! Lindsey's guitar playing adds an edge that for me the radio edit doesn't quite have and Stevie's timing is perfection.
I am now 74 yrs old an old fart by most standards but I have followed this group and Stevie since she was 19 and gypsy first aired I know that she and Lindsey had issues but man they are by far the best duo to hit the stage in my years. Stevie I would have to bow to you as the best group female singer of the time and lindsey the best picking guy of the erab
Lindsey is a guitar genius... sad that he did not treat Stevie a lot better, from the beginning... But his finger picking technique is quite amazing to see & hear.
Let just remember they both left the people they were with to be with each other and they all were doing heavy ammounts of cocaine they both were toxic for each other so what happend happend if they can let ot go and look past it people should too
This song tears me apart every time I hear it. Reminds me of my dad all the things I wished We should have talked about and didn't. He was the one I admired above all others he gave me and my 2 brothers a great life was 6 months away from becoming a general was a dentist and our rock. So sorry I never got to tell him how I really felt. Dad you were my hero my inspiration for my life I just wish I told you in the living years love you pop
Where did the time go. loved them then still love them today. RIP Christine the world is a lesser place without you. Great singer songwriter musician. So glad I was there at the beginning.
Gypsy is the song that played on the radio on my way to see my nanny in the hospital. she died as I held her I had never heard it b4 that night but I have heard it many times since and 2 me that's her song. Luv u nanny xxxx

Her voice is still so beautiful and flawless after all these years. She truly is something rare. She is ageless as well! Lindsey too!
Sierra Eagleson she. has been my hero my whole life since. I was a child. mother loved. her to
It does seem pretty decent now but it's just changed a lot, it doesn't sound as tuned from the 80's now so it means she needs more than one singer.
Sierra Eagleson cooler than dry ice

the rightnes for our GODDNESS! STEVIE
Her voice never changed (Stevie Nicks)I don't care which year I listen to this song, her voice is the same as in 1982 when I first heard it.
Love Stevie. This concert was taped live in Boston, MA. She looks and sounds great here. 🤩
Legends never die their music will carry on for eternity

Love this song!! Stevie is timeless and flawless. She still looks great today, even 70 years old! Her songs are beautiful.
WOW - Never get tired of watching and listening to REAL music - THANKS
Adoroooo...essa banda...a voz dela é inconfundível....obrigado!!!
One of the best musical pieces EVER. Love it. Great guitars.
Simply perfect, amazing, thank you for this gift. Always feel good vibrations. From Spain Thank you.
Watching Stevie Nicks gestures and movements as she sang left me 🌹 in awe of her performance as I just continued to listen to a this Superstar🎶🌹n watching her sing was for me a a once in a lifetime experience 🌹 for me as it wast so raw n real and I know I will never hear a woman as good as her perform in front of me on a stage like Stevie Nicks again 🌹 Stevie you are great as a live performer and I am now a devoted fan of yours 🎶💯🎶 thank you for that great experience which I will never forget🎶💯🎶🌹
from 1:44 the guitar and voice come together shine and make the song. The best voice in R&R
Stevie Nicks has the most natural talent I have ever enjoyed. Love her with Fleetwood Mac and alone. Gypsy to me is her best.
I am always impressed with the guitar player in this band
+Mike Caldwell You mean the band leader, the guy that wrote and arranged the songs.
+TheSeeker1960 if he is the leader why is the band called Fleetwood mac and the pathetic drummer is always the one called the leader
but I fully know Buckingham is the talent in this group
+Mike Caldwell What is pathetic about the (drummer)? The Stones kept the same name with many band mate changes. The Mac isn't the Stones, different type of band all together. But who really cares as long as the music is good.

as a drummer, i call mick Fleetwood pathetic because I know he plays kindergarden paradiddles and is as simple a drummer as you can get.
I just turned 59, and wascgreeted with what the Dr's called a "small stroke." Scary. Listened to this and "Landslide." Felt a lot better.
Stevie I’ve been listening to your music since I was 17 years old when I started listening and I love you too.
These guys give me the chills they're so damn good! All their stuff is great.
I really love her voice and that guitarist
is awesome
It's her Ex ...
Yeah I know
love her
That "guitarist" is Lindsey Buckingham... One of the greatest.
AWESOME I agree. Music unites us all.
I would put Lindsay Buckingham up there with any of the super guitar players who come up in those pub debates
This sends me into a euphoric trance every time.
ME TO!!! Why I don't know but what a feeling!
This is exactly it!
She is where Taylor Swift can only dream of being.
fleetwood mac .... the definition of an amazing and incredibly talented group of musicians!
Stevie N! What a singer, what a writer! Thanks. John P.
The magic is made by Lindsey's playing, but I still miss Christine on these. They need all of them to really work.
These 2 make magic ,her voice and he’s a wizard on the guitar
Lindsey is a guitar genius... sad that he did not treat Stevie a lot better, from the beginning...
But his finger picking technique is quite amazing to see & hear.
I heard that Stevie was quite a handful with her drug addiction, so I wouldnt lay it all on him.
back in the day maybe she was the problem.
How do you know hell she cheated and used drugs
Of couse no one ever blames the woman..shes always the innocent victim, right?
Let just remember they both left the people they were with to be with each other and they all were doing heavy ammounts of cocaine they both were toxic for each other so what happend happend if they can let ot go and look past it people should too
No matter about difficulties this is a classic and always will be!
Fleetwood Mac was always outstanding what a time that was.
Seen them in Houston Texas 2014 but have followed Fleetwood Mac back when Peter Green played with them.
Best guitarist and best vocalist of all time...what a duo...you'll always be in my heart
the musicality of this group is fabulous, good taste, mastery and perfection
Gypsy is the song that played on the radio on my way to see my nanny in the hospital. she died as I held her I had never heard it b4 that night but I have heard it many times since and 2 me that's her song. Luv u nanny xxxx
