I loved seeing the san rafael area, goblin valley region and of course Capitol reef, the most underrated national park in Utah (lets keep it that way). Also, the Henry Mountains are wonderful to see, one of the last places where a natural Bison herd remains in the USA. GREAT VIDEO!
@@BoundForNowhere be sure to check it out on your way back this way. They are incredible. I look forward to your video towards Boulder and Escalante along Hells Backbone. Hopefully you stopped at Hells Backbone grill.
I’m a jeep guide in the park and drive the Cathedral Valley or Waterpocket Fold up to twice a day in the season. Such a treat to see my office - glad you guys had such a good time. Thanks for showing off the under appreciated hidden gem that is Capitol Reef!
@@BoundForNowhere We camped in the Fruita Campground and loved it. I got some great Milky Way shots all around the park, but I did not have my F150 4x4, so I did not go out the Grand Wash Road or way outback with our Grand Caravan. I may do a quick trip with the F150 in late spring or early summer to do more filming. Did you do drone work at Capitol Reef? I thought drones were banned at all national parks - though no one could get hurt in the far recesses of Capitol Reef for sure. Ba safe - glad I found your channel. My channel gets a few thousand views a day because I do short videos about Runaway mini campers, but I decided against doing travel vlogs. There are enough out there for the world! : )
This series is officially my favorite thing on youtube. Been waiting for this since the days of the Sunraider build :). Loving the photography in here!
Bound For Nowhere I was lucky enough to visit Yosemite, The Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Monument Valley when I was in the States over 10 years ago - absolutely stunning! Your video reminds me so much of the Bungle Bungle Ranges in the Kimberley region of my home state Western Australia 🇦🇺
Just absolutely STUNNING imagery. It is just amazing that there were no other people out there. On a side note...you guys realize that Luna is part dog right??? Lol. Please keep bounding for nowhere!!!
Awesome aerial views and the photo shots standing on the rocks absolutely breathless. Love to join the BFN journey to CR but can't take off from work too long 😢. Thank you for sharing and Safe Travel!
@@BoundForNowhere No doubt, I will be tracking the BFN adventures. If you guys ever get close within 500 miles again to Cali, I will definitely call in SICK👍 for a meet up. I'll buy a lunch and desserts 😊. Does Luna wear stylish bandanna's?
These were some of my favourite places when I went to wilderness school and I am always amazed how few people go to Capitol Reef. Water pocket fold at sunset while sitting atop a cliff is one of the first real images I took as a photographer and I have been meaning to go back. Thank you for the reminder I have a trip to plan.
Love the channel. But now you have a decent 4x4, put it into 4Lo 1st gear to crawl over that bouncy stuff real slow. Both Luna and the camper mountings will thank you for it. You'll be in much more control too.
That was so much fun you guys!! The scenery in the shots are just amazing. Thank you thank you for letting us explore with you. I live on the east coast and I've I have never seen that area of the country so thank you. Looking forward to many more explorations
I am so glad that I found your site. Amazing scenery and I have Capitol Reef on my to-do list. Maybe next year I can get a couple of others to run it with me. The photos and drone footage is awesome. I really want to get a drone but, driving and flying it at the same time doesn't work too well. My wife is not into the camping thing like me.
Yes! i don't recommend flying and driving! Take a friend or two! It's also makes seeing places like this a little more special to share the experience with someone!
y'all are awesome. I'm getting some good ideas on where I want to visit once I get my Van and adjust my work situation. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the next video!
Well, I'm new to your channel , and this gramma is in love with all your adventures , your commentary insights and perspective. The two of you are refreshingly wonderful. Thank you for all of it . Awesome video as always! We did a few of those roads last year, and they are absolutely stunning!! I wish we had more time to explore, but we'll definitely be back out there soon. Also, Luna is such a cool cat! Makes me wonder how ours would do on the road.....
Just came across your channel because I'm contemplating a similar Tundra build. Love what you guys are doing! One word of warning though, you should be aware that use of drones is not permitted in any National Park. Violating the ban on drones can result in up to six months in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
Just found you guys? Loving your travels. I am planning to drive to central and South America next fall leaving from the Seattle area. Not sure if our timing will match or not but would love to chat about your plans and maybe if it works out we can travel together.
That's amazing. We were thinking about doing the PanAm next year but have decided to take things in a different direction. You are going to have a blast! Hopefully our paths cross!
Awesome video as usual guys. Regarding camping at CR, can you pull over and camp anywhere or do you need to be in one of their two primitive sites? Thx and keep the vids coming!
You can't as most NPs have rules against wild camping. However along the road they have free backcountry established sites that are nice. We however stayed outside of the park every night
That darn cat! Once, we were delayed an entire day. Searching for my wife's Iguana. The whole day. Where was he? Somehow he got under the fridge. Doesn't like the air conditioning.

Hey have you guys paid much attention to how many amps your getting out of the solar panels? The reason I asked is that I noticed in the drone shots that the yakima load bars are running above and directly across each panel. The way that panels are internally configured, that could potentially kill most or all output from shade. Pretty sure you have the Victron BMV-7xx, so you probably have their app. I'm conservatively guessing you should be seeing 1-200 watts and ~15amps at high noon (depending on SOC of those LiPo's)? Might want to add a third bar between the other two and get the panels mounted up on them. You seem to move a lot, so it might not be such a big deal as the truck charging system maybe does enough. Just something to research and think about. Hasta! Great editing BTW!
There are a few videos but not many. It also makes Capitol Reef a great park to visit. We drove the Burr Trail, Nottam-Bullfrog Road, Cathedral Valley loop road (1/2 of it), and on up to I-70 via Last Chance Road. I don't know if we saw 5 other cars.
