We’ll Never Forget this No Agenda Overland Adventure!

- It was time to get out and do some wheeling and camping with good friends and we purposefully left our agenda open ended so we could explore without too many time and distance restrictions. Well it turned out to be an expedition none of us will soon forget. We kicked it off at the Trona Pinnacles, camped for the night an then set off to explore Death Valley. We had a full sized AEV RAM truck, my Jeep Gladiator with a Patriot Campers X2 Trailer, a Jeep Wrangler with a trailer, a Toyota Tacoma and a well build Jeep Wrangler rock crawler on this overland trip. Good people, good food and awesome stops along the way… I think you will really enjoy joining us on this adventure. #jeepgladiator #jeepwrangler #ramtruck

Marco is the true hero here! I cant imagine being so lucky to find someone who loves cooking the way he does camping with me.
I am blessed to have him as a friend!
He starves me every video, I've got to get a skottle!! Haha
Thank you!!
I'm trying that Potato Chorizo Egg burrito soon, damn that egg yoke bursting I was like OMG
@@TrailRecon Does Marco have his own camp cooking channel ... I'd be a Patreon for that.
Your channel and content helps to lessen my depression a lot. Every time I'm watching you traveling and camping. I always feel like I was there with you talking and driving with you guys. Thank you.
I love that Marco ALWAYS has a smile on his face.
Always smiling!
@@TrailRecon Truly a great guy !!
I appreciate that!
@@mountainbiker6098 Thank you!
That's 'cause he isn't eating the chorizo 80 miles from nowhere. Plus...he seems like a good dude.
That Ram rig is sweet!
Made the other rigs look like a struggle.
And here I have a 3500 thinking I need a Jeep. Watching that Toyota thru the sand its sounds like a dog.
I’m trying to figure out if that’s a power wagon or a turbo diesel.
@@darthwader99j53 at 14:23 you can see a good shot of the ram. I can't tell on my mobile what the badging is, but it might be able to help see what it is. I'm sure there's a build interview on the channel somewhere!
Do you have the link for AJ’s YT channel?
"Everyone begin migrating toward kitchen " Haha love this line.. 🤣😅
Brad you are blessed to have such a wonderful group to go adventuring with and I must agree, Marco is truly a gift. Not to diminish the sentiment but who doesn't love the one who feeds us? Unless they happen to be a terrible cook, right! PEACE
Just what I needed after a long day at work a TrailRecon video 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Right on!
When he said "Caldo de res" My iner mexican was like " Hellyeah foo"
When I heard Marco say " CALDO DE RES " my mouth was like 🤤🤤🤤😋😋😋
Bruh...made my mouth water!! So GOOD! Add some lime, chili...dang!!
@@rogerg0834 Don't forget, unas tortillas!
As an Australian I find it pretty amazing how you guys can be in the desert in the morning then be playing with snow capped mountains behind you later on that day!
California seems like a beautiful mix of land scapes!
It's a beautiful place for sure, but I hope to one day get to spend some time out in exploring your neck of the woods.
@@TrailRecon Brad will eventually get a landcruiser to explore Australia. You heard it here first!
When Marko is with you I'm always hungry after.
Channon Spencer haha Thank you!
Heck yeah! MARCO!!!!!
Marco mad respect to him always cooking. I love your adventures.
What a great adventure. Marco never fails to amaze with his Marcomatic Frother haha.
HaHaHa! "Marcomatic" !
Y’all are so blessed to have Marco!
Thank you Ken!
Love seeing all the different rigs !
Looked like a great group.
What a great adventure with good friends! I love the way Marco gets creative with his offroad cooking and that too for all friends.
Thank you Brad for sharing this great experience. You and the gang are truly blessed.
Oh man, chorizo con papa! Tastes uber delicious with homemade salsa, warm corn tortillas and cotija cheese
26 1/2 minutes is not long enough for a Trail Recon video!! Awesome video, really enjoyed the trip Brad.
Very very cool... Thanks for sharing!!
Marco needs his own RUclips channel.
Cooking on the trail with Marco would definitely be a hit show.

It's always good , to get out , and do Not-A-Thing , and have fun... OH,,and you guy's had Marco to feed ya's...LOL
I hate being poor. Can't afford adventures like this.
Another amazing video Brad. Thanks for sharing. Keep then coming
My brother and I did this trail in his first gen 4Runner back in December. It was amazing!
Superfast update! glad to see you guys on the trail! (tan Tacoma kid)
It's amazing how this channel stays interesting and fresh.
I always appreciate this style of video where it's high quality footage with a smooth voice over. Much more tolerable than listening to wind noise all the time.
Nice group of fourwheelers, it brings back memorias of our gang, The Barnnett Brothers from Orange Ca. Tom Harris from Irvine, old man Jean Jacobson, my brother Sergio "el Willy" Bueno and myself.. No agenda in Baja...
Classic Rock and Jeepin in Jacume...at the Coyote Blues Ranch.. Still open for any 4x4s.
Had the day off today. Been watching trailrecon videos all day. I'm loving every single one, keep it up guys.
Your JT is looking really cool Brad. Love the stripe. Also, like the green color of that Ram. I've seen a couple Jeeps in that color.
That AEV RAM Prospector is a beast!
Though many have told you, thanks so much for taking us along on your adventures. These videos are great sanity breaks and motivators for those of us who just can't get out and explore at present. Still a few years before I can start to enjoy retired life, but you have added so much to my bucket list of places to see in our great country...
Watching these videos get me through my desk job and for that I appreciate content like this
Amazing..
10000000000 like, and thanks for the ride 👍😉
8:15 that burrito looks so good I want to go home and make one right now!!!!
Since I can't go Xscape work and City Life I have to enjoy your videos please keep them coming
It was weird hearing him say CHOR-IZO instead of CHOD-ISO never heard it said that way I’m New Mexican
What an awesome outcome, so many great stops. I'll be trying to copy this itinerary for sure when I can finally travel west.
Brad you know how to enjoy life... You surround your self with wonderful people... Pure joy. Keep on filming, and keep on WHEELING......
Once again, I loved the adventure you took us on! Your storytelling ability is what really makes the videos just a bit better than most!
Kind of unsure about a trailer-definitely see the advantages but not sure if it’s for me. Heck, I’m just trying to get out there-and in the end that’s what it’s all about!
Looking forward to some “lean” JK videos where you ground tent again. Cheers!
I can just imagine cowboys riding through those canyons
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your high quality video from the start till the finish. I love the camaraderie among the teammates.
the man in the kitchen is incredible, very good meals and how I fix the Tacoma. congratulations
Would kill for some 39 degree weather! Cheers from Minnesota!
Been to Barker ranch back in the 90's... I signed the guest book... Quite a trip there
Marco is worth his weight in gold! All his cooking looks soo good!
Best adventures are without an agenda! Awesome trip!
I ran across your video here after watching " Keep Your Daydream", another very entertaining channel. I loved your spot! I am the owner of a teardrop manufacturer here in Grand Junction,Colorado and love seeing your success in towing the gear hauler trailers through all that rugged terrain. It inspires me to get out more and see more of our wild country. Loved the idea of traveling with a small group of various outfitted rigs. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to more!
Same. We are in CA, and looking around for a group to go run with. Taking our time seeing who we fit with. the More merrier !
Man this was amazing! Love it. Keep them coming!
Beautiful group camping trip
This looked like such a cool mello trip thanks for sharing guys !!!! God bless
I was so excited for this video after seeing all the stories on insta. Well I was not disappointed.
Great to hear, thank you!
Loved the vid Brad!!! You guys are my hero's. I want to get to the point where I can do these things as well.
Thank you!
Thanks for the reminders! I loved exploring the abandoned places of Arizona when I lived there. I miss the southwest.

Beautiful trip Brad, looks like everyone had a lot of fun...
BTW, towards the end of the video I saw the value in those rear facing amber lights.
انا عربي من العراق وتبعكم احبكم😻💔💔
I am an Arab from Iraq and I love you💔💔
What an awesome trip. Such awesome footage. Thanks for sharing Brad!
Another great video! Thanks for your continued sharing and leaving it better than you find it!
you guys inspire me to become an offroader 😍😍
Awesome video! I love to eat so, Marco stole the show for me personally but the rigs and scenery were great! I have caught some videos in the past and recently heard your name from the LiteBrite channel so I subscribed!
David guitar madman Thank you very much!
I am loving your adventures, these types of events is why my wife and I bought a jeep and we can’t wait to get more involved
Thanx!!
Your friend Marco is a gem he cooks breakfast for everyone with love and compassion
Been waiting on this!
This is one of the best posts on overland camping that I have watched!
Great to hear, thank you!
So awesome!!
Thanks Brad for taking us to places and scenery we will never see!! Great group of friends, keep it up. I think the trailer is the way to go.
Glad you enjoyed the adventure, thank you!
You guys are so lucky in the USA, you have the best landscape for this sort of adventure. It is impossible for me to get more than 100 yards from anyone in the UK
Uk here as well, do you 4x4? you should take a trip to strata florida in wales or salisbury plain
Lot of areas in the US like that too. You are probably as close to wild areas like Shetlands, Faeroe, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Portugal etc. as some people are to the SW Deserts here.
Australia has some really good wheeling spots from what I’ve heard, so does Mexico and Canada, but the US has everything from dense forests and mountains in the east, mud bogs, deserts in the southwest, more mountains in the north west, you name it, we got it.
@@tennesseecurtiss5741 certainly dont forget Australia which has the biggest spots
Want to see a walk around of the prospector! Love those rigs
It's such a great build!
AJ has a video on his YT page about the build 🤙
Marco’s Jeep in the shop...again. Waiting for Marco to show up in a 4Runner in the future 😁
LOL! He'll be back up and running soon enough.
TrailRecon that’s good to hear.
That would be downgrade
Gladiator being red looks good with that blue behind it just need a dash of white now
Everyone needs a Marco in their life.
Hopefully you’ll give us a separate vid on your full perspective of the X2, and the idea of trailer altogether?
I think Marco needs a fully customized X2 so he can bring his camp kitchen to another level. If its even possible for it to get better
And mad props to Marco for using soyrizo!! Those stuffed bell peppers looked amazing!!
Sandra Lutz-Rodriguez Thank You!!
I want to bring my power wagon out with you guys just so I can eat Marco’s food. Your videos always end up making me hungry lol.
This is such a cool channel.... I don’t get the amount of “dislikes.” Get a grip unhappy with life people.
Gosh,, I just REALLY love the articulation on all your guy's vehicles!
such an amazing trip! such a great group! you guys had it all! an aev dream, a taco, gladiator, a few trailers, and a rock crawler !
I get hungry when Marco cooks...
God's creation is beautiful! Thanks for the share!
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump It sure was! God created the heavens and the earth for His glory, and it's by God's creation that we have a purpose: to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever! It's truly truly a beautiful thing that we should be so stoked about!
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump everything is just a grand accident.... Happy ?
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump looks like someone's projecting.....
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump more projecting..... Come on kid, you gotta do better than that and have better ideas than happy accidents and coincidences over 13.7 billion years.
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump You humiliate me ? You were a humiliation to your parents the day you were born ( that was truly an accident, your dad wasn't careful enough with his condom, no doubt). And conversation ? No kiddo I am schooling you.
So here is my thought sequence everytime I watch your episodes:
First, I'm excited with the trail. Second, I love the rigs you guys are hauling, and lastly, Marco's menu keeps me hungry all the time.
Nice assortment of vehicles
Made it out there in my honda cr-v during milkyway season. some of the darkest skies in california, also saw some fighter jets flyover driving in
When is milky way season
@@AveragePatty Facing south during April and May the pre-dawn hours are best. From June to early August the best time is near midnight, though the Milky Way will be visible almost all night. From Mid August through September the best time is soon after the sun has set and the sky has grown dark
@@HIYAHHHHHHHH thank you!

Brad, great video. I’ve been watching for few months. I’m in the Midwest and we don’t have the terrain like you guys have. I look forward to your material. Keep up the good work buddy. I know you’ve been doing it for a long time. Just remember a jeeper is born every day.
you guy really had a great time as it looked as thought that you all are very experienced and thank you for leaving the trails better than you found it.
I can't tell if this channel is dedicated to overland adventures or a cooking show. :D
This adventure had a bit of everything a little creepy and a some crawly
Oh yeah this is exactly what I needed while getting ready for this weekend. Not gonna be quite as epic of an adventure since it's just one vehicle, but I'm looking forward to getting out of town for the night. Thanks Brad :)
Great trip, thanks for sharing with us.
Everyone is wishing they had a friend name Marco
Hey Brad, awesome video as always. I'd be interested in your thoughts on how Marco's Smitty trailer held up compared to the Patriot. Looked like it held it's own and at a fraction of the cost.
His trailer held its own for sure, but I would upgrade it to an off-road hitch assembly and it's pretty bare bones, so lot's of custom work needed to bring it up to speed to be a chuck wagon kitchen.
@@TrailRecon That's great. Thanks for the response.
Jason, I have the Scout Trailer and have taken it on the White Rim trail outside of Moab. It has held up very well as he have never had any issues with it. It a nice trailer for the price, being a fraction of the cost of a Patriot camper but it’s bare bones.
@@sbanks1491 Thanks for the input. I love the Patriot camper, but it is definitely more than I want to spend.
What a good life you guys have im jealous have fun enjoy be safe god bless
Awesome weekend trip and video, as usual. Thanks for taking us along. Marco needs to start his own overland cooking channel. I salivate every time I see what he conjures up!

imzeppy1 😉
How much extra fuel do you all generally keep on hand? I can't imagine with the lifts and tires, 4x4 etc you're getting incredible mileage. Thanks and keep up the good work
Wondering the same thing
Brad,
I have noticed a move away from Brand recently.. Or is it just me? no decals on your jeep.. removed watermark on your videos plain hoodie.. ect. whats up?!
I'm not trying to be a NASCAR Overlander
@@TrailRecon Thats why I love this channel!
TrailRecon haha! Touché! I guess once you’re getting the RUclips algorithm there is not much need for physical advertising for your channel anymore.
Loved the video btw! As always!
A true pro.

I recently took the stickers off my windows. Looks a lot better.
With all the sponsors you have, you can't get away from being a NASCAR overlander
3:56 the sound of wheels on the small stones....waw amazing 👏
